The food was very lovely, only the Broccoli was very cold. It was my daughter's birthday and I did tell them that when I booked and we also told the waiter. He promised that they would come and sing happy birthday to her but no one came.
Poor value for money
Staff lovely food fabulous
Didn’t quite get what we ordered but received extra chicken strips free of charge, so happy customer
food was slow to come out, ive had the same meal (duck salad) at another TGI restaurant and it wasnt nowhere near as nice as that time - it was supposed to be served with rasperries and better salad, yet mainly consisted of croutons and lettuce and tyhe presentation was very poor. Chips were overcooked. servers were happy and pleasant but we asked twice for a second roumd of drinks which didnt turn up, yet made it onto the final bill. I do like TGI's but wont rush back to this particular branch.
waited half a hour for drinks food was ok nothing special. it is normally really good but bit disappointed this time
Service was fab apart from a few staff who let it down - Zoe F was great!
Brilliant service :)
Wrong food menu, had to ask for service. Didn't advise one of the cocktails was out of the menu until already serving the other 3 so one person was without a drink for 10 minutes. Served one meal 8 minutes before the others, with no cutlery.
Staff coped very well despite being full to capacity.
Made a reservation, but rang up and said we would be 15 mins late. Not a problem for the front of house member of staff. Sat our party of 6 (which turned out to be 8) in a quite part of the restaurant which was nice as we could relax and chat. Staff were great and attentive.
Food wasn’t the best but was still good. Got quite rowdy towards the end of the meal
Took very long to get drinks, let alone the food. Staff moody and seamed board as they were yawning bringing food out.
We came here for a meal and a few Cocktails, we had the tgi burger and the steak ribs and shrimp both meals were delicious, no fault at all. We then had a few bubblegum daiquiris and a summer peach I think it was called, gorgeous best ones I’ve ever had in tgi! The only thing I can put them down on was they messed up our table and we got put on the table right near the disabled toilet so we were out of the way and we kept getting forgotten I had to ask a few times for a drink and other things but apart from that it was a lovely meal
Absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is so quirky and the service was so quick even on a bank holiday Friday!
Good food. Slow service on a busy night. Long wait for drinks. Served a shared starter. Had to ask 3 times for plates.
Food was nice, the spicy rice is very disappointing. Costs £2 and is obviously micro rice, it’s awful.
The service we had was frankly, terrible. It took an extremely long time for our orders to be taken and for our food to get to us and the restaurant wasn't that busy. It was our friend's birthday and we had requested a cake as we knew that TGI's usually put on a great birthday announcement. However, the staff who performed the song were unenthusiastic and we couldn't even hear them. I normally have a great time at TGI's but this time was a let down.
The place was very smokey when we arrived.. everything else was spot on
Was disappointed that when I asked for duck salad was told they had no duck - had crispy noodle salad instead which was ok but way to spicy to enjoy properly
Service was slow, took over 40 minutes before getting our food ordered. Ordered a drink with our meal which we never got and had to ask again for. Staff all seemed stressed
We all had a wonderful night on the occasion on y daughter's 21st Birthday on 21st Feb. 2018. I had booked a table for 14 via a phone call to the venue, The process was very easy and the member of staff, very helpful. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed and had a drink at the bar before sitting down to dinner. The food was delicious, the staff attentive. polite and helpful. Although we were the last customers to leave, this did not appear to be a problem even though it was well after closing time! I would have no hesitation in recommending TGI Friday's at the Gate in Newcastle, for either a general night out, or, for a special celebration. Alexandra Bale
Suffered Food poisoning from a chicken pasta dish very disappointed as usually love this place.
