We actually had a very disappointing experience. We came out to celebrate our daughters birthday and hoped it would be a fun experience but your staff simply could not be bothered. We were shoved in a corner and ignored. We asked for our kid's meals to come with our starters, the youngest child was sat waiting for 10 minutes when everyone else had theirs. Our mains came with another 10-minute gap between mine and my husbands. Our starters were not cleared away and we were not given clean cutlery. We weren't offered refills on our drinks and had to flag someone down to ask. We asked to see a manager to complain and nobody bothered to come so we could complain. We waited a further 10 minutes for our bill to come. All in all the staff seemed more interested in standing around chatting to each other than serving the customers. One even complained that they had only just started their shift and hadn't got going yet, Shoddy rude service, will not return.
Very attentative staff who were all pleasant, nothing too much trouble for them. Food very nice and well presented.
It took 2 hours to get in and out of the restaurant, and with very few table bing occupied int he restaurant at this time, this is particularly unacceptable. Didn't have time for dessert, because the service was so slow. Our waitress never come to us throughout unless we asked someone for something, then they said 'we'll get your waitress'... 3 of us didn't enjoy our meal and left half of the food, no-one asked if we enjoyed our food or even seemed to notice that a burger, with only 1 bite taken out, was going back to the kitchen ... all in all very disappointing given it was my daughter birthday and I thought she would have a memorable time there!! Food was mediocre and service was appalling.
Food very bland. Music FAR too loud. Staff simply messing about in front of customers all evening. Cocktails awful. Wont ever be back
Good afternoon, Am sorry to report that my recent visit fell far below of what I have come to expect having enjoyed your venue for a number of years. Taking into account it was Mothers Day I booked an earlier table for evening meal. The venue was busy and the staff were frantic, that being said the serice was consistent through-out our visit. My sons meals were meatballs and pizza, both were utterly inedible? Pizza base was bizarre, it just wasnt a pizza, not sure what happened there. Meatballs were grim, dry sauce less mince balls served on dry over cooked pasta, again how odd. Our table backed onto the bar, i observed the bar area and the floor was proper wet and filthy with sodden debris being trampled on? Toilets were a disgrace, no soap, floors wet and slippery, no evidence of maintenance. Total spend including food and bar was £85 which we paid and quickly left most disappointed. Thank you for the opportunity to share my observations and rather poor experience. Sincerely Vicki Twyford
our service was perfect he went out of his way to make sure my daughter had ribs, they had sold out and only had the £17 adults one so my little girl broke down in tears as this is all she eats at tgi's and he went out of his way and spoke to the manager to see if he could give her a part of them for price of childs meal which manager kindly agreed too, they even gave her a half rack not just a few she was over the moon. my family had a perfect night celebrating our sons birthday
When we arrived we were seated when a waitress came up to us and was clearly put out that we had been seated in her area but asked us to bear with her as she was on her own. Fair enough we didn't complain but then we waited over an hour for our food and it was only when a new waiter came on duty and we asked him where our meal was, that we actually managed to receive our food. There were four of us and whilst the rest of my party enjoyed their food mine was not tasty or worth the wait. The guy that served us in the end was brilliant and I wish I had made a note of his name but for the rest of it, I don't blame the staff as I accept they are paid peanuts to do a difficult job but I shan't be going back in a hurry. We received a discount because of the wait but an apology from the Manager would have helped
After reserving a table it took 50 mins to seat us we spoke to 4 members of staff that would go to check the computer then not return. They forgot the children's deserts and when they did arrive they were missing items. After complaining we received a discount, however this was a birthday and double mothers day meal and was not acceptable as the excuse given was really not my problem. We could not fault our waitress she was polite and interacted with the children. I will not return to this restaurant as I have received better service at the Watford branch
Disappointing visit as was for 18th Birthday based on previous experiences. Pre booked table, as also Mothers Day & thought it would be busy. Unable to order any items on the Burger menu as had run out, but was still only 6.30pm. Ice cream sundae not as described, lack of chocolate sauce & not same quality as on previous visits. It was clearly very busy & staff appeared more stretched than usual. However I would have expected stocks to have been ordered to cover the expected increase in customers .
Very disappointed to visit in Mother’s day for a 5pm table we had booked for 4 online. Whilst a appreciate it was busy, we had to wait over a further 40 mins to be shown to our table. We then waited 5 mins for the lovely young waitress to come who did apologise for keeping us waiting but, then went on to tell us that she felt we should have been told in entering the restaurant that they had ‘run out’ of a lot of things. She then said there were no wings or boneless ones, no jack Daniels sesame chicken or jack Daniels sauces, no burger buns, no mash and a few others. On hearing this and having waited nearly an hour, we were disgusted thstcin our arrival we were not told that there was a wait but, told that’s your table it’s just being cleared’. We then got drinks from the bar and waited. The table we were told was ours wasn’t allocated to anyone or us and we eventually ended up being seated the other side of the restaurant. The staff greeting should have been honest and explained the situation with the menu and given us the choice as to wait or not. As a result mine and my mums Mother’s Day meal at our usually favourite restaurant was ruined. We spent half an hour driving here and ended up having to get a McDonalds as every other restaurant was booked. Very very disappointed.
Our waiter, didn’t introduce himself by name, or offer to top up refill drinks and even made to wait 15 mins without a drink for a second pint of lager. Previously TGI staff seem to pride themselves on service, but although very polite our young waiter was well below the standards we are used to at TGI’s
Drink was great, food was burnt, cheesy dipper appetisers had no cheese in from where it was burnt so much
The food was good, however we were disappointed with the service. We were seated almost an hour after the time we had booked. We were given the excuse that it was mother’s day and as such they were running behind. Whilst we understand that, they should have been better organised to avoid this happening. We were eventually seated in an area of the restaurant that had been empty the whole time we were waiting! This added to our frustration.
I booked on line but when we arrived the waitress checked her computer and it said 'not available' in red next to my booking. The staff were able to give us a table, so there was no problem, but I am not sure why this happened?? On a positive note the meal was tasty and the staff friendly and efficient. Thank you
Pre-booked for mothers day evening, expected it to be busy and was correct. However did not expect the tables to be pushed so close together (never used to be) that you could not physically fit a 8 month baby on your lap whislt sitting down. Baby seat had to be put ON the table. Once shoehorned into the tiny space, having spoke to soimeone at the door to be seated, shown to our seats, drink order taken and had all the time in the world to browse the menu, only then did the waitress think it was a good idea to let us know that pretty much everything was either sold out (hot dogs and chicken!!) or in low supply. We said we wont stay as they dont have any food, the charming young lady snpoped back at my wife that they do have food actually and stormed off. We where disgusted that on a well known busy day that some items may be sold out, but this was pathetic. At least tell people BEFORE they sit down that half the menu is off, partuculalry kids menu stuff.
great service, quality food and friendly service. anytime you require a mystery shopper we are available!
Always good, however on this occasion service lacked and the food came out wrong
It would be good to hear from the company that staff are being paid at least statutory minimum wage, or preferably more than minimum wage. All staff were very helpful and polite. Food very good.
We had a great time. Food was delicious and served promptly. We had a lovely guys looking after us, I think he was called Paul but he was just great
12 people and kitchen could not get food out together or right
Went on a double date with my boyfriend and my friend and her boyfriend and we all really enjoyed ourselves. the food was great, service was super friendly and the atmosphere was really lovely. definitely would come back!
Quick, efficient service in quiet restaurant.
