Needs an overhaul loos dated, felt dirty. Menus sticky. Waitress was lovely however all staff were so young. Food mediocre, you have much more competition nowadays compared to when you opened. Need to up your game. We were disappointed
We all had a wonderful experience for my birthday 🎂 thank you for all the effort that was put in.
Arrived early at 18:00 and asked if we could be given a table then. Restaurant was 2/3 empty and was told by the hostess that we could be seated in 15 minutes and to have a drink at the bar. At 18:35 I had to approach the hostess who was having a great time with a colleague, if we had our table. She then proceeded to set a table that had been vacant since we arrived and we were then seated. Why this took so long I have no idea. Food was good, drinks average and desserts bland and tasteless. Waitress did her best and was pleasant.
When the main meals came up, they were cold, but Lauren, our waitress, got right on it to make sure our food was hot. When we ordered a rocky road and a popcorn brownie sundae, there were hardly any brownie or popcorn and the rocky road was missing the marshmallows and cherries, when we questions why our deserts were missing ingredients we were theb informed that they did not have them in stock. Now it would of been nice to be told this at the beginning of our desert order to give us a chance to look for a different desert. This is now been disappointment on 2 separate occasions with missing ingredients for the deserts and I am now considering not returning to the Kingston restaurant. Lauren our waitress was really nice and attentive but it still isn't a good visit when your food is cold and your desert has missing ingredients.
Slow service.waved at serving staff for ages to bring ketchup for two kids having hot dogs with chips. Why wouldn’t you bring it without asking or at least ask, and then to ignore us; poor, very poor! As to medium rare steak - forget it - you get it as the chef cooks it which is medium to well done but we’d waited so long we weren’t going to send it back! Cocktail bar service - 1 poor guy who had been there a short time was lacking in a training course to find where everything was but he did mix great drinks
We enjoyed our meal because the atmosphere is always great and as we have been regulars at TGI Kingston for nearly two decades now, it holds great memories for us. However, it was really dirty around the table and there were still chips left on the floor from the previous customers. The menus were really sticky, and although the children didn't notice and I tried to ignore it, I couldn't quite escape the general feeling of 'ick'!
Food and service were really good. Bartender was bit heavy handed with syrup in the cocktails but I enjoyed mine anyway. Sadly, 2 of the 3 ladies toilets were out of service and the third was filthy with no toilet roll.
Almost everything was running out from the starters to the sides, ice cream and even whipped cream. We were each given less than a teaspoon of coleslaw with our mains and we asked for ketchup several times. We ended up walking around the restaurant ourselves looking for it and even then all we found was an empty bottle. The waiter however was helpful and was clearly under pressure. He was very apologetic. We have never experienced service as bad as this before at a TGI’s but definitely won’t be returning to this branch!
Was really really slow at getting our food and drinks then once brought the drinks over had to tell us they have run out or forgot what we ordered and then the beer was horrible and flat had to get that changed and had to wait ages for the bill we will definitely not be going back there again
Had dinner here with a couple of friends and the food and service was amazing. There was a great vibe. Definitely recommend and the 'sweet potato fries' are sooo good!!
Food was great and very friendly staff. I had a great birthday
Our server, Liam, was a nice chap who provided good service
We had a great time.
Very pleased overall
I’ve visited TGI’s a few times in Kingston gas this is our local , it was just a shame that on mother’s day me and my daughter (7) didn’t enjoy our main meals they were either , burnt bland or over cooked ,
Hadn’t been to Tgi’s for a few years, and despite it being a busy Mother’s Day, the food was great, came in a reasonable time and it was so good to have friendly helpful service from all the staff, unusual these days when eating out.
I was not happy that i ordered bbq chicken wing and they took ages to come out when they did they were only just warm and then i bit into it it was stone cold like they came out the freezer and slighty warmed up. I sent them back and they were reheated and they same ones came back out as put extra sauce over where i previously bit a chunk out of instead of getting a fresh batch.
Booked a table for 5pm.. 10 people.. we didn’t get seated until 5.15.. as the staff were still getting our table ready.. after sitting down we were approached after a about 10 mins for our drinks order.. when the drinks arrived staff took our order.. 6.15pm came and the food had still not arrived.. so we took it upon ourselves to ask where it was.. staff said it shouldn’t be much longer.. half 6 the food arrived.. and after the wait.. it wasn’t much to look at.. the burgers were dry.. the kids beans were dry.. the chips were over cooked.. and we were left with no cutlery.. had to ask for this also.. asked for ketchup and a staff member brought over an almost empty one which I then had to ask again for another.. Overall you could clearly see that the staff were overrun and that the kitchen didn’t have enough staff! For a Mother’s Day outing I came away saying I wouldn’t eat at TGI Kingston again.. very poor and not at all worth the money.. sad to say!
Very good service even though they were super busy and had some awkward customers they delt with it very well and proffesionaly and nothing was to much bother . Thank you
Average and loud
Our plates were dirty. Service was incredibly slow. My burger was very, very dry. I will not be coming back to tgi Fridays in Kingston.
We booked for 5.15, and of course on Mothers Day we expected to have to wait. We were seated at 5.30 which was fine. We ordered at 5.45. The starters came at 6.20! It was far too long even though it was busy. The food was warm, average and the restaurant was cold. Several people complained and you couldn't pay me to return. Whole experience was awful
We were shown to our table as soon as we arrived. We booked for 5.00 and was 10 minutes early. The table was ready and waiting for us. The waiter was fantastic. Food was fast, hot and lovely. Service was super.
Very friendly staff and very accommodating, we asked for a corner table to assist with our pram and they couldn’t have done any more than they did
