Our server was amazing again so very friendly and helpful and quick to rectify wrong drinks and missing items. Never had a bad meal at the kingston branch and look forwarc to visiting again. Gutted i forgot my receipt to add my rewards lol
All staff very helpful and friendly on the day. I was very pleased to be able to go in the day before to pre-order the food for a party of 11 children. One very minor thing - I would have liked some jugs of water available for the table. I did ask but didn't get them. Other than that it was great, sorry about the noise!
Mojito was horrible. We have had many mojitos before and it was too strong and wasn't made right. The food took a long time to come, people Around us that came after us got served before. Considering it was an expensive meal we weren't happy.
Atmosphere awful so quiet in the restaurant for a Saturday evening ordered a burger and chips burger came it wasn't very warm taste like it had been 're heated not impressed at all and won't be returning.
What a shame it appears you still haven’t resolved the scandalous tipping practices where the company deducts nearly half of that tipped by customers paying by card. We will certainly think twice about coming to TGIs again and will tell everyone we know and use social media to spread the word until we hear publicly that staff can receive 100% of the tips given. You’re a big company. You didn’t need to behave like that. I hope this saga persuades you to do the right thing in future.
The food was pretty bad, the garlic was break had so so much garlic on that it wasn’t nice to eat, the burger was literally just a beef burger no flavour to it whatsoever and my chips had a strong onion taste to them, I would have expected that kind of food in weatherspoons although the food is probably better there. Did not bother to complain because we were hungry and on a tight time line. Not worth the money at all
Went there for daughters 16th birthday and it was really disappointing. Waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for starters and when they did come only brought half of them. When I asked about the rest the lady said they have a new system and starters are going through as mains?? So when the rest of starters came the mains started coming out too!! They forgot chips on daughters meal and the sirloin steak was so tough couldn’t eat it and shared a burger with other guest which was also bland. Also the pulled chicken tacos had what looked like boiled chicken in and when I questioned it they said it was poached?? I showed them the menu to show it said pulled chicken?? Really really disappointed about the experience
Our waiter ‘jo’ was great , he was helpful, friendly and did it all with a smile on his face!
Our waiter was very efficient and polite. Very friendly.
The waitress that served us was extremely polite in such awful conditions. I arrived before the rest of the party, I waited 45 minutes for my cocktail, my guests waited 40 minutes for their drinks, which arrived after the starter, that we had waited 30 minutes for . The waitress kept apologising, which was the only thing she could do, and I reiterate she did her best under the circumstances. The manager did not come and apologise at all. We then waited another half an hour for our main course this was now 9pm having booked the table for7.30, which, when it did finally arrive was luke warm. I could not send the food back as my mother is diabetic and could not afford to wait any longer to eat. Our second drink was just as long in arriving. This level of service is unacceptable and spoiled a Birthday celebration completely with substandard food and lack of management of bar personnel to cope with a busy restaurant on a Saturday evening. I will not be recommending TGI Fridays
I booked a table for 11 people weeks before for a birthday party at 7pm on a Saturday. I have always enjoyed TGI's and a previous get together on a New Years Eve was far superior. This evening was a shocker. Our group were all early and we duly waited for our table at the bar. 7pm came and went and no table. After chasing it we were told it was being prepared. More waiting and chasing before we were directed to a gloomy (not atmospheric) platform area with 3 balloons on one table. After ordering drinks and starters, our mains still had not arrived by 9pm. We chased and they arrived. Dried up burgers, Luke warm food and in my case missing coleslaw and a bland corn on the cob which was supposed to have been chargrilled. My son complained about their inedible burgers at the time and was refunded. The restaurant was very busy and appeared understaffed but they still found time to do the 'Happy Birthday' performance to practically every party there EXCEPT my 74 year old mother. It really felt as though once we were there they forgot about us and tucked us out of the way, away from the atmosphere as well, when our table was booked way in advance and specifically noted as a Birthday. Our waiter was apologetic and mostly helpful but even he was appearing less and less. We were not even offered water for the table. My ribs were tasty but the evening was generally ruined by the fact that it was gone 10pm before we got our desserts and the whole group were tired and disappointed at having to wait so long for sub-standard food and service. Not a single appearance by management to apologise for this fiasco. This restaurant needs a complete review of management and staff training if it wishes to continue as a TGI's.
I’m a regular due to my child but food often Luke warm
Our first server was a little hard to communicate with. We then had another waitress for the evening and she was great, she gave me recommendations for cocktails, kept checking the food was okay, and made my sister's birthday special by giving her a balloon crown. She also got more waiters round the table to sing happy birthday but not in the traditional way which I thought was a little more special. The downside was that the piece of fillet steak was tiny!! And my corn of the corn was wayyy over cooked. Apart from that everything was brilliant.
The waiter who served me and my two friends was really friendly and helpful. The service was quick and the food and drinks were great. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Most of the food was not eaten, burger extremely dry no effort on the salad in it. Garlic bread way over the top on garlic. Veg skewers dry. £60 bill we probably ate about £20 worth if that. Very disappointing.
We had a table of 9 celebrating my daughters 19th, two meals had to go back as they were stone cold, one of the meals did not come out until the whole table had had finished, wouldn’t go back.....
Staff were lovely and made my partners birthday wonderful. They were attentive yet didn't annoy us. Great service and a good meal.
Waiter tried very hard. However we waited a long time and ate both mains and desert in pairs due to delays of getting all four courses on the table at the same time. I paid using £30 vouchers from a torrid time at Croydon. This involved the seating in a booth collapsing on my son. I’m afraid despite many great attributes about the experience of eating at TGI’s this will undoubtedly be the last children’s birthday that I celebrate with you.
Food was disgusting unfortunately 4 of our party of 5 suffered diarrhoea and stomach cramps. Service was great considering they were very short staffed.
Mains came out before our starters; starters brought out and they then brought back the same mains which were offered 15 minutes beforehand - resulting in both of us feeling unwell
An hour wait between starter and main!!! Awful service
The table I booked for 15 people with babies in highchairs .was unsuitable for us as it was by 2 lots of stairs so .they had to re do the sitting and that still was not good as some of the people in my party were being knocked as staff or customs walked by so they didn't enjoy them self at all .and I thought being .having a 8 children at the table the staff would of gone out of there way to make sure they didn't get bored while waiting for food and drinks that took over .hour and half to come after ordering . I picked you restaurant because I thought it would be a change for my partner's birthday and we had a lot of people travelling from different areas of London and outside of London i.e. Heathrow Greenford Morden in Hoddesdon. Need more staff on as our waiter (liam) seemed to be a headless chicken running around to different tables .and having to ask for stuff is not what you want when you go out for a meal it should be stress free .And some of the meal where cold but as we waiting so long people just eat it any way .sorry but not a good experience .
Food was nice and service was good, but the cocktails were a rip off, very expensive considering they were all ice and very little alcohol.
Arrived on time but told reservation was “marked off” as didn’t think we we coming! No problem with table though as not very busy. I found the area we were seated in to be rather dark. Our server was pleasant but a little brisk! Food was very good. Drinks ok but surprised my son who was celebrating birthday was asked for ID. He didn’t have any on him so drank water. Atmosphere lacking! Have always enjoyed previous visits to TGI’s but would not rush back after this latest experience when there are so many other places to chose from.On a positive note the food was tasty & plentiful.
Service was abit slow tonight waited about 20 mins for my drink but food was lovely
