All staffs are friendly. Our food comes was cold , we order our meals the same time unfortunately every meal come after 20 minuets one by one. Some of us finished some still eating.
Me and my party of 12, along with three other tables I got speaking to in the toilets found it absolutely appalling!! One of the waiters had given out table to someone else so when we got there we just had to wait for few tables to be free but with four kids it was challenging so I suggested we sit by the bar where all free tables were, but they then said they don’t waiter up there! I asked for balloons for my 8 year olds birthday to be in her chair and table when I reserved it and even when they was sorting our table, after reminding them twice -still no balloons. The kids beans came out freezing cold, they changed them THREE times before them actually coming out warm !! Then our dinners - one was forgotten, we ordered four whole rak of ribs, we only got half ! Another mean the ciabatta was so burnt it was black and could knock someone out if got hit in the head with it! Then they bought out the rest of our rak 20mins later (but only three for some reason) just sitting there on a big plate with no sauce, 25 minutes later they came out with our rib sauce !! So that was then cold. They then had no lighter or matches for the cake so they spent 10 mins walking the cake around the restaurant asking people. The toilets I took photos of because it was so disgusting!! Tissue all over the floor, lights not working, sink was the most in clean thing you had seen and was all broken !! When I got speaking the other women in the que in the toilet, one women had waited 30mins for her drinks before even getting served !! Two others also had bad experiences. The staff aren’t how they used to be, all happy with all the badges round their necks, child friendly !! I took my 8 year old there for her birthday expecting what we used to get years ago- a big fuss for her, standing on the chair to sing to her !! But NOTHING!!! Was worst restaurant experience!! Will never go back!! My family wanted to go Smith n western but I said no it’s lovely here !! How wrong I was !! I will make sure my review is everywhere because I am so disappointed and so was my daughter !!
Great food, great service we had such a good time :)
Sadly the restaurant called us merely 30 minutes before our reservation to tell us that the toilets were blocked and therefore they were not accepting customers. There was no offer to reschedule. I was grossly disappointed as at 7pm on a Saturday, it was very difficult to find a table elsewhere.
Burnt my burger wasn’t happy at all
Waited nearly an hour for the Mains to come out. By the time they came out appetite had gone. Cocktails were really good on the other hand!
Always love TGI, quite expensive but the Jack Daniels chicken strips are a cut above the rest. Cocktails are gorgeous.
Lovely waitress we enjoyed the food
The staff helped host my birthday and they really went above and beyond to make it great.
First the toilet were out of order, there was like 20 of us we came for my niece birthday party that was a downfall for all, it’s spoiled the birthday mood as some left and some stayed but then came the food, it was not at expected standard, presentation was poor, it came cold. We were really disappointed ☹️
We chose this venue for our Grandsons 13th Birthday, I really wish we had not. The food was sub standard as the vast majority was luke warm at best, we sent one course back as it was stone cold, it arrived another 45 minutes later. We spent over £200 pounds on rubbish food and a very disappointed Grandson to boot. Will not be returning
Starters came out cold and had to be sent back. Chips were cold. We were then overcharged on bill for the food that had to be redone. Very cold room temperature. Sticky menus. Very expensive. Will not be returning.
I booked a booth for my sons 16th Birthday last night. When we arrived we were shown to a table in the front part of the restaurant, in the walk way, it was a small table for 4 people. When I said I had requested a booth her response was they were all gone apart from one which was near the door and was cold. I said no more but was moved to an available booth, it was not a booth just a table not on the main walk way. The waitress who see us in was appalling however the waitress who served us for the night ( Laura I think) was lovely, food was great but as a 16th Birthday experience it wasn’t great unfortunately. It was a cold night but you shouldn’t be shivering eating your food so maybe the heating needs to be updated. Such a shame as I have great memories of this place but this wasn’t one of them!!!
No longer the place it used to be. So disappointed for our daughters 18th celebrations. Zero atmosphere, zero staff. Bar filthy and glasses and plates everywhere. Dirty, freezing cold and lack of staff left us searching for someone to come and clear our plates away. Could’ve made at least another £100 from us if only they’d asked us if we required more drinks during our meal.... so very disappointed with the whole exp. unfortunately we won’t be visiting again. Used to use TGIs a lot over the past 30 yrs or so but it’s definitely lost it’s attraction now. No bar tenders throwing bottles and making the cocktails or crowds at the bar, buzzy music and amazing vibe😩😩zilch. A very expensive and disappointing night. If you want to survive as a business you seriously need to sort yourselves out as a restaurant and bar.
Fix the toilets.
Really slow service, to the point where even when we received the bill, we had to get up & find someone in order to pay so that we could leave. TGI’s has always been one of our favourite restaurants but this visit left us with a really poor experience.
Nice family place
Overall friendly and welcoming. Server called Jake was very attentive and professional. He was also very friendly.
Our server, Raj, was amazing. Best service we have received in TGI. Thank you Raj!
restaurant was empty and yet the waitress ignored us most of the evening; food was ridiculously overpriced considering our dishes were cold and barely cooked- told the restaurant pre our booking and on the day that it was my boyfriends birthday and they completely ignored it
Perfect for my 9 year olds birthday party. She had fun. The waiters were really patient and attentive.
service was a bit long but apart from that will sure to be back again x
Food came out cold even after sending it back twice....far to long waiting for our food after ordering....all our food came out at different times....all in all was very disappointed apart from our waiter who tried very hard to keep us happy even after all the disasters
Too much salad dressing on the duck salad - better served on the side.
Despite leaving information when making the online booking that it was my sons 11th birthday, there was zero effort made to recognise this. We have been coming to TGI Kingston since before our eldest was born so 11+ years and have watched the premises slowly become tired and worn out and the service levels drop - mainly as a consequence of reduced head-count, so too few people looking after too many customers. The service on the day was absolutely fine and the young lady who looked after us could not have done more, but she was totally unaware of the special occasion. The meeter/greeter did say happy birthday when we arrived which proved that the info had been received but that was it. It had been my sons choice to come to TGI, and he was left feeling a bit flat. When we left he said, "I thought they sang happy birthday to us on our birthday". I suspect that you have likely lost his custom as a consequence, as the most recent offers of eating out saw us at Pizza Express and Zizzi with neither of our boys (8 & 11) pushing for TGI. A shame but there we are.
