Drinks were expensive and the chips were cold but had a great night.
service great, food is on the expensive side
It felt very rushed. The restaurant was not busy but our server wanted to clear our plates before some people had finished eating or as soon as we had put our knifes and forks down. I was a bit disappointed with my meal of all the trimmings. I expected a bit like a roast dinner. I didn’t get the cranberry sauce instead I got a jd glaze, there was no gravy and the seasonal veg were in fact peppers and onions which I couldn’t work out how they were seasonal for winter. So I actually had mash, chicken, pepper, onion, tiny potatoes with a spicy flavouring (I don’t like spicy food). The only thing festive or anything like an xmas dinner was the stuffing which was the best part of the main meal. My dessert of cheesecake was also unavailable as someone forgot to take it out of the freezer. Even though the food had been preordered. Overall not a great experience, if it wasn’t for the company I was with I would of not enjoyed anything about it.
Wait for 15 mins for table to be ready even though resturant empty and we booked a week ago . Out of children’s burger and was going to charge us for an adult Burger to go in kids bun !!!! They forgot kids veg sticks. We had to ask . Left off shrimp on dish when we ordered scrimp, steak and chicken dish !! Forgot to give us steak knife with steak dish . We ordered 5 desserts they all came out individually with 5 min gaps . Whilst one finished the next came out . Two cookie dough had no cookie dough in it or cherry on top as described in menu . Plates looked shabby and the table had huge chips out of it . It looked like it needed a huge overhaul . Shame it was my daughters birthday and feel quite sad that I asked the whole family to experience this poor service and paid a huge amount for it .
We had a very poor experience which was a real shame as it was our sons 16th birthday treat. Our orders were taken and our starters arrived. Then it went downhill badly. Our waitress was called away due to a family problem apparently. Unfortunately no one took over the responsibility for us or thought to explain. We waited for almost half an hour for our food and had to ask where it was. When it eventually came, one of the orders was wrong...... Then the dessert for our son contained some kind of marzipan, not mentioned on the menu ,which he could not eat. No one seemed apologetic or tried to compensate for the situation. Overall the experience was very poor. We will not be coming again or recommending the restaurant.
We had a long wait between starter and main courses even thought it wasn't that busy. We had the wrong food bought to our table. When we finally got the right courses my chicken sesame strips had hardly any sesame seeds and not the usual taste. Not the best visit we have had at TGI Fridays.
Brilliant, love it in TGIs. We booked a class meal for 16 lads aged 17/18. Not a problem with service or staff, we were treated equally which was nice as some restaurants expect the worst form out demographic. In addition we were the only ones there due to the time of our booking yet there was still an atmosphere as the tables around us were full. This shows how well the staff have been trained in order to get the best possible experience.
Despite us telling your staff, and adding a comment on my booking. My daughters 10th birthday was totally forgotten about. There was no special TGI magic, no singing or dancing. They brought over a half hearted balloon hat only to tell my husband sorry we can’t find anymore and it was actually from another customer who had left it on the table. My daughter specifically asked to come to you as she had seen the birthday fuss first hand, however was not made to feel special at all. We left thoroughly disappointed. Turning double digits was a huge event and coming to you to finish her celebrations was not the way we wanted it to end!
We arrived for our meal and seated and then left for 40 minutes without anyone coming to take our order or even a drinks order - service was totally diabolical. It totally spoilt my daughters birthday.
How they had completely run out of steak by 6pm on a Saturday night is beyond me, the waitress implied it happens regularly too.
Great food and great service
Our waiter was absolutely fantastic! We were a party of 12, 11 year old girls and he dealt with them fantastically. Gave them a little independence but In a controlled manner. 10/10 service
Let me say that I come to TGI for all of my birthdays. This year was dreadful. From the service to the fact there was a debate over the cocktail voucher. We were under 18s and 18+ Then there was no hat, a young girl found some balloons and made one. I was asked if I wanted the birthday song. I said no. I asked for a cake with a candle. I got a cake with a candle while and inbetween it all some very disjointed and nonsense service. My son who is autistic wanted me to have a song. The waitress declared it wasn't my birthday. So I then spoke to the manager at the bar. Away from my table to let him know how upset I was. Whilst we didn't pay for drinks and got 40% off the bill. I am still upset that whilst my cake arrived, as I was blowing out my candle the waitress asked if we wanted the bill. What a birthday. I won't be returning next year or any other time. So dissapointed. As were the 6 others with me.
Thank you for a fab evening celebrating my 60th birthday with the family aged between 6-60, the service was excellent, and so was the food, we would definitely recommend for a group get together.
I reserved a table as it was my best friends birthday so a few of us got together, we had the lovely AK serving us he was very nice funny and helpful.
Had to ask for kids menus although obvious we had two kids. Prices of drinks definately gone up and over priced also tasted poor. We did complain and got told that's what there is. Food portions again not as they were very shoddy presented and wouldn't make me want to come back. Rude staff. Waited 10 mins to be seated although early reservation and empty restaurant so no excuse. Atmosphere was dismal and like being in a morgue no smiles or happy greetings very very poor.
They left us over an hour with no waiter
Burger bun was burnt and rock hard. Food took ages to arrive after starters
We used to regularly come to TGI however the quality of food seems to have declined so we have now decided to only have started if/when we return.
Can't fault our waiting staff, very friendly and welcoming (I think our server was called Kayleigh?). However, bar staff were unhelpful and rude. It would be a shame for something so small to spoil an otherwise great restaraunt :) Otherwise, we were very happy with the service and would go again
Great service. Horrible food. No reduction in price, even though we had to change our order as the kitchen could not do burgers, steaks ir ribs!! Salad was just a mountain of leaves with a minute amount of crispy duck. Chips soggy. Floors looked dirty. Menus sticky with dried on food. Will not ever go there again. Would tell people to avoid this restaurant.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Rachel for the brilliant service we were provided which enabled us to have a fantastic night. Kindness, patience and professionalism were displayed at all times and this is hugely appreciated. Furthermore a huge congratulations (per usual) to the chef's for the fantastic food and every other member of staff that helped to perfect our experience that night. We will be back again!
Great food great service!
Terrible. Don't bother dining here!
