Always a great place
No beer or cider on draught as pumps not working very disappointing as my husband wanted a cider on his birthday
Katrina was mega!!
I should say that my children enjoyed the meal very much. But from an adult perspective, the food is average at best. The peppercorn sauce... what even IS that? A sort of sweet black barbecue-y glaze, without any peppercorn in it as far as I could tell. But our waitress was perfect – friendly and attentive and fun, all without being intrusive. And the team did a spirited birthday song, even though it must have been the millionth time they'd done it. So thank you very much to them all for making it a fun dinner.
Waitress waited until we’d sat down and ordered our drinks to inform us none of the grill items were available. Long wait on food but when it did arrive it was lovely. Likely to return in the hope it’s better next time.
We were assigned a server, who we never saw again after she took our mains order. We were then left at the mercy of getting passing staff to help us. Although we purchased refill soft drinks, we never got refills as we had no server attending us. Main course took over 40 minutes to arrive. We then waited about 15 minutes before we could order a dessert. This then took 25 minutes to arrive. Wouldn’t visit again. Food was ok, but due to complete lack of service, wouldn’t recommend, or visit again. Felt like outcasts rather than paying guests.
Service was slow although it wasn’t busy. Burger was over cooked and dry. Kids meals came out wayyyyy after adult food.
Good overall experience
Great birthday meal
It took ages for us to be served when they were v quiet rinks order was wrong the toilets were dirty, and there was an eyelash in the food . We won’t be returning !
Our waitress Amy S was an absolute star. My boyfriend and I came in for our anniversary dinner and we had a wonderful time. She was so lovely and made us feel very welcome, we will definitely be coming back. The food was also great, the brownie and ice cream was incredible.
Cold food, server didn’t care. Didn’t get correct order, things missing. Dirty tables not cleared for ages. Will not return!
The air conditioning is so cold 😂😂 but I have to say.. the staff were incredible but our waiter in particular was incredible ... huge effort was made for the birthdays in our group and nothing was too much trouble. He had a beard and was great with the balloon modelling ?? If that makes it clear. You need to send him to different restaurants to teach others 🌟
Very unhappy, food took a long time to come out, server was not available often, no free refills available and no alternative such as free bottled drinks. Food also was not up to the standard of other restaurants, wedges undercooked.
Hollie and the team made our evening really special. Good laughs and lots of fun.
The restaurant was freezing. Goosebumps all night and put feet in handbag to warm up. It was so unbearable and not enjoyable too. The service was so so so slow and it barely had any customers in it. Really disappointed as I normally go go tgi’s often and never have any problems.
Our waiter Lilly was lovely and really helpful. She checked on us frequently and made sure we had all we needed. Had a top night!
We love going to your restaurant because it is brilliant and fun and the food is great we will be there again love it so much thank you for your great work guys your the best
a very relaxed atmosphere with attentive but not pushy staff
Loved everything except my friend didn’t get her sweet potato fries she asked for and just got normal fries, we didn’t want to say anything...everything else was so lovely
Most of the staff were very new, which is not what we found a problem with but from what we could see none of the staff were supported because there wasn’t enough of them which then in turn made the service bad and a few of our meals had something wrong with it. It seems to be the same story in every TGIs you go to. Let them employ more staff!!!
Very slow service- sat for 45 mins before even being asked what we would like to drink. Food then took an age to come and restaurant was very noisy with shouting children
We booked two tables, one for my son and his friends and one for us on the other side of the restaurant. The boys had a very good dinner and we're well looked after. My wife and daughter both ordered vegetarian mains and both had very undercooked sweet potato in them which was a real shame. Everything else was fine
This is now the third time that we have been let down terribly by TGI Friday in Guildford. The previous 2 occasions were for my son's birthday and the latest was for my daughter's birthday. It is safe to say that we will never be returning to TGI's in Guildford. The lady serving us was very nice but quite frankly one person can't stop a ship from sinking. Over the years the chain has gone from bad to worse in the quality of the food, items not available and painfully slow service. There is clearly no manager at Guildford as you can see everyone is doing everything ad hoc and as a result no one seems to really care as they are totally exhausted from trying to keep things going as best they can. The food 5-6 years ago was better than it is now and clearly everything is shipped in frozen including the steaks. If something isn't done to save this chain it will not survive. Thank you for ruining 3 of my children's birthdays and fools on us for coming back the second and third time. Someone from head office should spend a week in this restaurant especially over the holiday season to see how much of a disaster the chain is.
