Although we were seated promptly it took 15mins for the waitress to come and greet us and take our order. The restaurant was very busy and noticeably understaffed. When our food arrived it was burnt and the chips were over cooked and tasted of cooking oil, but we waited so long we couldn’t bother to send it back as we had a toddler. The restaurant had run out of kids crayons/activity packs which was a little disappointing as we had to find creative ways to keep him entertained and stop him from bothering other guests. Our waitress was polite but noticeably stressed due to her workload but she was accommodating and professional. Having been to TGIF before I was underwhelmed by the food and the atmosphere- but understandably I may have just come on an “off” night!
Booking was straight forward but the only thing is when we reached there we had to wait a little while before we were taken to our table as there was small problem with some people in front, but luckily another member of staff came over and sorted everything out and got the queue moving. We had a lovely gentleman called George who made sure we had everything we needed.
The service was fast and the staff were very friendly
Me and my family enjoyed the evening . It helped make my son's 18th birthday special.
Dirty cutlery, used serviettes from previous sitting, 40 mins from ordering to getting starter, 30 mins from finishing starter to getting main... and then the chips were cold, one order was wrong and steaks like an old tyre. And all this for £130!!! Not impressed and staff didn't seem to care, just looked at us like we were a pain in the a***. Expected SO much more, especially spending that kind of money!
Really lovely restaurant
We had to wait half hour for every time we ordered a drink for our table, absolute joke, not acceptable at all and waitress did not come to check on us to see if everything was ok with our main, waitress was too busy to give us any attention, we had to keep waving to her and asking the bar where out drinks were. Too many tables for the amount of staff they have.
Booked table for 7.15, ordered starters but main didn’t arrive until 8.40.... felt rushed as waitress kept checking if we were done
Really great service. Made a huge fuss of our son whose birthday it was
Enjoyable evening. With lovely food
I booked a table online. Arrived. The restaurant was empty of people. The chap went away - came back and said we are just getting your table ready! We could have sat at any empty table. 5 minutes later he still hadn’t come back. So we went to the bar. Waited there for 5 minutes. No one behind the bar to serve us! So we went to the restaurant next door and got served immediately.
Booked a table for 7:30, arrived at 7:15 and was asked to come back at 7:30. When we returned we had to wait 10 mins for a table which was too small to fit my party of 8. Only after complaining were we moved to a bigger table. Only to be left there for over 15 mins before we had to call a waiter ourselves to take our order. Seriously when making a reservation with plenty of time for restaurant to prepare for our arrival i was dissapointed with the service i received
I have emailed my feedback already but here are my comments again: Dear TGI F We have just finished our meal which was delicious. However, the starters arrived after our main course, the cocktail drinks came after the meal, martini x 2 served in the wrong glasses and ultimate purple rain sickeningly sweet. Despite mentioning it was a 60th birthday celebration for my husband in my booking, there was no “Happy Birthday” as requested. Just before the bill arrived, my son went and spoke to staff who then appeared with cake and sang a belated happy birthday. Very disappointing experience and not to your usual standard.
The aircon was too much, I had 2 babies with me and it was freezing for them. The waitor was nice but the service was initially very slow. The music was too loud for babies.
Lovely food and we were well looked after.
Myself and my boyfriend absolutely love TGI's but unfortunately this time and the last time we visited the Enfield branch it was just horrible. Service was shocking, it was very quite also so not being busy is not an excuse, we waited 15 minuets for an order to be taken, food was not great and then to top it all off our tablet had not been cleared 35 minutes after we had finished our meal. My boyfriend was so fed up with waiting we went to the bar to pay the bill, only for the chap who took our order and served us our food to tell us that he wasn't the person looking after us it was someone else. Another couple has ordered food in the next row of tablets and one persons main meal had arrived but the other persons main meal took another 15 minutes in which time the first person had finished the meal. Absolutely shocking service from an almost dead quite restaurant. We normally visit the the Lakeside restaurant which is absolutely amazing, service, food and atmosphere, we will never be eating at the Enfield restaurant again.
On entry we was amazed to see dirty plates outside not cleaned with flys festing on them, once we got in it tock 15mins for us to be seated as they said they was cleaning a table for us all the while it wasnt busy and there was empty clean tables. The service was terrible the food was missing. As we left the dirty plates outside was still the way it was on entry! Disgusting
Very dirty cutlery replaced with yet again more dirty cutlery, over charged and given a time limit in which to eat and be out
Terrible slow service, left all of the empty glasses on the table for 4 people for the whole meal. 3 people had finished their starters by the time the 4th came out. My milkshake had melted by the time it was brought over as it had been left sitting at the bar for so long. Waiter was favouring larger groups of people over us and took way too long to clear plates. I love the fact that TGI's plays music but on this occasion it was much too loud- the waiter could not hear our orders and so we received the wrong food.
Lovely food and great service by April.
-Chairs where dirty, when asked someone to clean them they looked at us like we was weird -Music was too loud where we was struggling to hear each other - even though we had asked them to turn it down on a few occasions -Got a couple of our orders wrong -Staff don’t look like they have had any training on customer service
It would be helpful when you book a table online that the booking actually registers at the diner so I felt as if we just walked in off the street and waiting for an available table even though at booking you are advised to arrive 15 minutes before. However, April was able to assist and it being a birthday too was able to accommodate us all including a high chair. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Even when the meals came with sweet potato fries (which were not requested but nice) the children did not like them so had to order more fries or they would leave hungry. April arranged for normal fries and didn't have to pay extra (not our fault) and still kept the sweet potato ones. So we were totally fried at the end of our lush meal. It was nice and would go again and recommend!!
The hygiene level regarding the seats and table is extremely appalling. Sticky seats and table is a no no!
We arrived 15 my name early for our table. Lots of tables free but we’re made to sit and wait until our correct time. We then waited 15 mins to order, 15 more minutes for drinks to arrive and then another 15 for food - arrives shortly after we’d been in the restaurant for an hour. Music was too loud to hear conversation. Food was over cooked and chewy. Won’t be coming back or recommend going.
Had an awful experience. Absolutely disgusted by your level service tonight, waited 30mins for drinks, over 30mins for starters then 45mins for a COLD main! Large table next to us has many servers whilst we got forgotten about. Left without eating our mains as it was so bad! We were there for a total of 1hour 55mins and were served a drink once and a starter. Tried to notify staff who seemed to not pay attention or pretend we were not there. Each time we spoke to staff it was because we had to find them, they did not serve us
