Food was lovely but service was very very slow!!!
TGI’s a great place to catch up with family & friends over a mouth watering menu & amazing cocktails!
My starter came after my main. We had to wait 5 minutes after getting our food, just to get cutlery. We were given a dish we did not order and after sending it back, it was still on the bill. The drinks I ordered for my children tasted just like water with lots of ice instead of the so called slushie. The coconut cream pie was meant to be light and airy, but it was frozen solid and couldn't be eaten. We waited over 10 minutes for the Fruit Cup kids dessert. In the end we just cancelled the order. 10 minutes for a scoop of ice cream is far too long.
I ordered and paid for ultimate ribs and they gave me the short small ribs from the children’s menu. I complained to the manager and they brought another plate with the same small ribs from the kids menu. I showed him a picture on my phone of when I previously ordered ultimate ribs for myself and the kids ribs for my children. You can clearly see the difference in size and thickness. However the manager said the ribs on my plate were ultimate and sometimes the ribs come in all sizes and he can’t control the size of the ribs. He spoke all over my food and was rude and still charged me for ultimate ribs. It was my daughters birthday, they sang happy bday but did not give us a free drink or slice of cake as advertised. We ordered a milkshake but the machine was broken. My children actually left TGI feeling hungry. The chips was a half serving. It ruined the birthday and I had to pay £91 for the meal. I told my waiter that I would like to make a formal complaint. Five mins later I was harassed by the manager who questioned me as to why I wanted to make a complaint in a rude manner, talking over my food and he repeated its not my fault the milkshake machine is broken! Disgusting service!
Before we arrived we read some previous reviews and was slightly taken back by the negativity. However, we could not have been more wrong. The service, food, entertainment and atmosphere were all excellent all evening. From the manager Alec or Alex to the floor staff our party were treated with special attention and gratitude. It made our daughters 17th birthday extremely memorable & special, thank you.
My side note was ignored but it was only a silly request but everything was on point. The mrs’s loved It which was great for me and everyone to
Great time great food great atmosphere
9 people attending a birthday celebration. Music far too loud, it's a restaurant not a club! service far too slow and sloppy, waited 15 minutes for drinks to be served, then advised that the "gas" had run out and waited a further 10 minutes for the alternative drinks to arrive. meals turned up in dribbs and drabs, the first meal was completed before the last meal was served. Not a great experience.
The service is absolutely shocking. The staff are lovely but the waiting times are a joke. We waited 40 mins before someone came over and took our order. Starters came 30 mins after, arriving before our drinks and even then a drink was missing. Another 45 minutes for the main to come out. We didn’t even bother to order a dessert!
Great service, great food.
The starters were not hot just warm, clearly heated up. The service was not good. Not enough staff for how many people there were. We were waiting a long time for anything we needed or ordered. One if our party couldn’t start their main course for 10 minutes waiting for a key component to their meal. There was also a extra main meal on the bill at the end by mistake. Our waitress worked really hard but had too many tables to serve
Food was amazing, service was amazing, our waiter was awesome, I would and will definitely be coming back and would always recommend tgi's to my friends and family who have never been
The food was absolutely fantastic. really enjoyed it, full of wonderful flavors. The young lady who served us was a joy, constantly smiling and very attentive. really enjoyed our first visit and will defiantly return .
Tgi has lost itself slightly and have to wait a bit longer than normal for service. They don’t sing happy birthday to you anymore even though I booked a birthday reservation. The mock tail was covered in ice
This review takes nothing away from the table server Shaun who was friendly, polite, efficient and a great guy. Terrible experience. Awful service. Arrived for 730 table booking at 720. Seated immediately and then IGNORED for nearly 40 minutes. Had to beg to get served. Asked the woman at ‘reception’ and still ignored. Ignored by people rushing past. Useless. They were busy and not enough staff on duty. Food was over cooked and cold. Steaks overdone and not nice. Starters and drinks fine. Table server Shaun was a lovely guy but way too few staff on duty. Will not return. Badly run place and unacceptable wait time.
So many staff yet, no one helping each other, one poor waiter to look after our big table and like another four more big tables, he couldn't reach all of us obviously, so we had two starters not arrive at all, asked for sauce like four times, arrived after our food was finished.. Other reasons too, table reserved, had to ask for cutlery because obviously staff cant count or read a 9 people reservation, mums birthday got ruined pretty much had to ask waiter for bill and told him we dont want no birthday surprise cake they normally do, we just wanted to leave before even celebrating etc, literally came to get drunk off cocktails but could barely get served one round.. it was a Monday, i mean it was quiet too.. i dont understand how such great food can be ruined by such poor service.. really disappointed, dont recommend, atleast not the enfield branch..
Waitress was rude... not even a smile, just a 'you ready yet?' for each order. I haven't been to TGIs in about 8 years and thought it'd be a fun place to spend my birthday with family, with great, friendly customer service from staff. I was wrong. Totally missing any of the fun TGI vibe I remember it for.
Waitress forgot to add our starter to order - twice we turned the main course away saying we were waiting for our starter - never mind these things happen and we accepted the apology, However, when the starter eventually did arrive i had to source cutlery from another table and we weren't even given any plates for our starters but after waiting for hour and half we carried on regardless. When my main course arrived the burger was cold, I had to return it, feel sorry for the staff they are doing their best but would not recommend TGI, kids loved it but I would be very reluctant to return.
Unfortunately you will not be seeing us again or hardly any one els. As I work a food company. I have been to a few restaurants that have needed some work. But as for yours.... I was absolutely horrified the way you run this place. I’m surprised you haven’t given any one food poisoning. Or you have but done nothing about it. I will be getting in contact with you CEO.
Had a very bad experience had to wait a whole 20 min before I got a table I book already
Booked a table for 7 and when we got there it was manic! We got seen to and managed to get sat down within a reasonable time. I forget how loud it can be here and my friend suffers with hearing problems and uses a hearing aid. We shuffled her to sit near me and we managed. We ordered a bottle of prosecco but they ran out of champagne flutes so had to use wine glasses (not ideal as it makes the prosecco flat quickly But it served its purpose). Yeah he prosecco was also served without an ice bucket (not sure if this is how they normally serve prosecco) so it got warm quickly. Food came quick and had to ask for fresh sweet potatoes chips and they were soggy and cold. Overall it was an enjoyable evening and we will return sooner or later!
Overall it was a pleasant experience. It took a long while for the food to come out and even the drinks to be given. Asked the waitress for a balloon as kids were getting restless she assured me she would get them and after two hours I had to ask another member of staff firmly who happily brought over a balloon within seconds.
Sat down at 7pm. Ordered at 7:10 drinks, starter and main. Didn’t get a drink until 7.30pm. Then had to ask twice where my starter was. After my starter finally turned up 10mins after our main meal was all wrong. Another 10mins gone and two staff people where asked where our main was. Fiannly got our main meal. Then when paying the bill aprrenlty only one card machine was in the whole building so couldn’t pay. Didn’t leave until 8:45pm. Terrible service.
Very slow service asked for bill a number of times
