Enjoy a fine selection of steaks, grills and burgers and freshly-stirred cocktails are served at the bar. TGI Friday’s in Edinburgh is an ideal venue for relaxed American dining. Edinburgh Waverley Station and Scottish National Gallery are a 10-minute walk away.
Big, bold American flavours freshly made in house served up every day. Choose from the sweet, smoky taste of their famous Jack Daniel’s glaze smothered onto dishes throughout the menu. Enjoy jam- packed juicy burgers along with some fresh hot sandwiches and a wide variety of flavourful appetizers. Signature steak grills and the fantastic range of fall off the bone pork ribs are a must have when visiting TGI Fridays.
Famed for its fantastic drinks selection, guests at TGI Friday's can challenge bar tenders to rustle up a mix from its 500-strong cocktail list, like the classic strawberry daiquiri, or the signature raspberry-spiked Haymarket. Ultimate thick shakes, Cooling slushes, chilled beers and wines are also on offer.
Leave room for freshly prepared desserts like the brownie obsession, chocolate fudge fixation and the cookie dough sundae.
We were out for my wife's birthday, she had ordered a Surf and Turf burger which states it was topped with creamy mac and cheese, what was served was dry pasta falling out of the burger, when it was raised the manager said this is what was served and only offered a tiny portion of nacho cheese sauce as a substitute, disappointing.
I’m not sure what the tables and seats are cleaned with but they dry sticky. Please look into this as it’s the only fault we found.
Lack of bar staff caused a long delay in getting drinks at our table, Bridget who served us was trying her very best and we did tip her because of her service. The desserts are not value for money. We’ve came here a few times and you can have a great experience one time then the next time it’s poor and it all boils down to lack of staff really.
Our server Chloe was very attentive, the only downside to our visit was that the gravy with my gravy seal burger was cold.. Couldn't fault anything else.
Really appreciated the TGI Friday team calling me to confirm my reservation and let me pre order a tomahawk steak for my husband’s birthday. Balloons, party hat and birthday cake were a nice touch too.
The server was fantastic, can’t remember her name though. Food as usual was amazing (but a tad expensive) Still love TGI’s so will be back
I do have to say that the service was shocking waited -20 mins to order drinks and only order because we get the lady’s attention. Our order then came out wrong (however we did eat it because we were in a rush) then to main we ordered two steaks one blue which was well done not 100% sure on how you get that so wrong and the other was meant to be rare and was also well done. Had to send them both back and wait another 15 minutes with no apologie. The nachos had the most unique taste I have ever tasted and not in a good way - do you use powered to make your cheese because I sure felt like it. I have to say I did except more from a well known company. I think it’s applauing that a restaurant would find that service acceptable.
Visited for my nephews 5th birthday and he was treated like a prince! Can’t thank your staff enough 😊
Charlotte was our server and was lovely!
For the first time I and my Children try to have lunch at TGI Fridays we are very enjoy it specialy because of the free flow coke and we went to TGI Friday regularly with the Children then, but now there isn't any more. Hope you can give the free flow coke again.
Booked a table of 25 for a big event and they handled it perfectly. The booking was smooth and easy, the manager I spoke to (can't remeber her name) was very polite and helpful. We had a great layout for our table and the service was very quick and smooth, the food arrived very quickly considering there was 25 of us there! When it came to paying they were very patient with us and allowed us to pay individually (something that must have been very awkward!). Very impressed!!
Great staff, friendly and attentive without smothering you. Food is always fab although one meal was not as hot as normal.
We came to TGI’s for my Daughter’s 13th Birthday meal, as part of her surprise in Edinburgh- it was part of an evening culminating on the Ghost Bus tour at 9 pm - I booked the table for 6.45to give us time not to rush - nearly an hr later I had to ask about our food and was told that we had only been waiting 26 minutes since ordering - meaning we had been left nearly half an hour before our order was even taken - at no time were we told there was a waiting time at all. The food was brought almost immediately that I had asked about it - clearly it had been standing under a heat lamp as there was a clear skin on the dips and the salad was warm - the chips were freezing - and had to be replaced. My daughters friend specifically asked for NO honey mustard on her chicken burger and that was repeated back to us by the waitress- the burger came covered in mustard and ended up being left uneaten. I spoke to a waitress who said we had been given a reduction but still charged nearly £50 on our bill - for one course - we left- my Daughters special birthday tea had been ruined - we specifically came to TGIs as our local restaurant at Meadowhall In Sheffield had always dealt with us beautifully. Perhaps a bit of work needs to take place with your Edinburgh team as when we return next year we shall be steering clear and that’s not a good advert for the restaurant Thankyou Tracey Baker
Staff were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. Food was outstanding! I do think the prices are a bit steep to eat here often but as it was a special occasion it was deffinatly worth it!
Had a fantastic time and will be back
Very busy, for a good reason, nice friendly staff, very welcoming and attentive. Choice of food very good, fast delivery of the food and the flavours were really nice, choice of drinks was great loved the cocktails 🍹, would recommend for a nice friendly meal out. Thanks,
Great food and cocktails as always
Table service was a bit slow.one meal served a waited 5 minutes for the other 3 to arrive after asking where they were
Always a pleasure and great service
Staff were very cheerful and attentive to any of my large groups needs. Service was fast and my birthday was made better with this meal.
Paige our waitress was excellent, 5 star service. Food very good.
very disorganised, dirty toilets. no birthday cheer as requested. food was good cocktails overpriced.
Unfortunately our first experience at tgi wasn't the best, to make matters worse we complained on the day before our visit was finished and the service still wasn't any better. Our food wasn't warm and some was so overcooked it was inedible. We had to ask for cutlery to eat our food on two separate occasions. Our mains were brought to us before our table was cleared from starter, we asked for condiments which weren't brought. Our deserts were brought to a table where all mains hadn't been cleared ( after complaining) All very little things but all add up to a dissatisfied experience. Especially when our bill was almost £200 I just expected a higher standard of basic service. There was a lot of staff but seemed to be more bothered about gathering to sing happy birthday than carry out their job. The food was enjoyable enough for me to consider taking my family to tgi again but probably not to this branch or maybe a weekday to see if it is any better. Overall just a bit disappointing for a far planned family event. We spoke with 2 members of staff on the day who identified as managers but as I say the service didn't improve after this
Our server was very nice and helpful.
