Absolutely brilliant all round. The service was amazing and so friendly. The food was too good, we all eat wayyyy too much. And the cocktails were amazing aswell. Definitely be back.
Despite having a reservation, we waited 30 minutes for our table, and then the order took a similar amount of time to come.
Food was lovely however the music was too loud! I’ve been to a few TGI’s and never had to shout to waitress or friends! One of our orders was wrong however trying to get a member of staff proved difficult
Very disappointed in this visit. Music was far too loud and our group struggled to maintain a conversation without shouting at each other. Lighting levels were too low and room seemed very dark. Despite booking a table for 5 in advance and being asked to arrive early: table was not ready. Asked to wait at bar, however bar was so busy we had to stand for 20 minutes waiting. Our group of 5 was then led to a table set for four. Had to ask to be moved to somewhere more appropriate. Waiter was loud and shouty. At one point, he sat in my friend's vacated chair - she had gone to the toilet. Waiter repeatedly chastised a member of our group for not drinking despite her telling him several times she was pregnant. He then offered suggestions as to what cocktails to try and rolled his eyes, chastising us for choosing something different. Waiter walked away in the middle of us ordering and at one point had to be chased through the restaurant to complete the group's order. Both food and drinks were ridiculously slow. Frozen cocktails arrived melted. Orders were dumped on the table with no effort to tell us what they were or find who they belonged to. Table was left uncleared and at one point there were 12 empty glasses and 5 plates taking up all the space. The bill was requested and after 20 minutes still hadn't arrived. It took our group putting on our coats and walking towards the exit before anyone made any attempt to give us our bill. We had asked three times. Food was delicious when it finally arrived and despite being melted, the cocktails were fantastic. Bad service has put our group off returning in the future.
The service was very slow and unapologetic when our drinks didn’t arrive! Food was great though!
I now remember why I don't go to TGIs. Only went because my niece was given a voucher for her birthday. Food was cold when it came and serving spicy sauces with the children's dishes probably isn't the best idea. Staff were friendly, but when we had finished our mains and drinks, we sat for 25 minutes with no service before finally deciding to leave to get dessert elsewhere. We would have probably waited for longer, but the 3 screaming kids behind us who were getting up and running around the restaurant, with no staff asking their mums if they could keep the children seated whilst they drank cocktails (even for their own safety), put us off staying.
Atmosphere and service were good. Food was very poor. Only the chicken wings were durable. The tacos were soft, the salmon dry (as were the mashed patatoes-not creamy at all) the burger was not what you would expect from the land of burgers. Soft wet bread and dry meat. TERRIBLE
We will be coming back
Music was a bit too loud
Was very happy with service and food 10 out of 10👍👍🍸
Great service from Charlotte
Food was great, and staff were very chatty and friendly!
The waitresses was a wee notti minx xxx @grantbelcher_
Wonderful service as ever at TGI's, the ideal place to treat the family for any kind of celebration.
Very nice staff
You have the best waiter's in Edinburgh
Booked a mid week table for a child’s birthday food came with a hair , seemed tasteless except for the dry ribs desert was inedible for £70 2 adults and two kids on food would expect better quality this excluded any alcohol just food and not so nice juice the server was funny .
Very good meal. Staff were 10/10
Food choice and quality has certainly went down hill since last visit, service was very good from the waitress, but the way you treat gluten free requests is ridiculous, when you approach the table you ask "who's got the allergy !! wait and ill go and get a manager to deal with this". Then you bring an ipad for them, talk about making someone feel different. I understand the need to be careful but your approach is invasive / loud and extremely awkward it needs seriously looked at, plenty other restaurants do a far better job than you - zizzi for example have the correct attitude and way of dealing with it by far.
Outstanding service food great and cocktails even better.
Server was very friendly, efficient and polite
Came in to celebrate my daughters 14th birthday. No starters as wanted main course and desert. After a 30 minute wait for desert we cancelled the order. We had already been in for two hours by this point as our server was too busy chatting up tables of females and chatting to other staff members. We waited 40 minutes for our main course plates to be cleared. I did speak to a manager at the end, however by this point my daughters birthday meal was ruined.
Had a very good experience last night and the girl ellie who served us was lovely always checking making sure we r ok food was lovely and cocktails to
We had a fantastic experience on Saturday. Our food was amazing. We were in for dinner for our son's birthday. Our server Vicki was very attentive from the moment we arrived. She is an absolute asset to your team. Our son now knows the TGI values Peacock for protection, Boat for teamwork and Hat for personality. We will definitely be visiting again very soon. My husband was recommended the sesame chicken to try and it didnt disappoint. The cocktails were amazing too! Thank you again for a fantastic experience.
I LOVE TGI FRIDAYS! GREAT STAFF, LOVELY ATMOSPHERE, GREAT SERVICE!! ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS FOR ME!!
