Enjoyable night, good service
Fab evening me my son had birthdays and we enjoyed it with our guests. Only down side my food i was taking away slipped out my hand and dropped :( wish tgi gave me some more to take home. Wishful thinking.
service was slow took 2 hours to receive my main course.food was poor to average for all in our 19 party. however Brandon our waiter dealt with our complaints brilliantly so high praise for him he could not have been more helpful it was my grandsons 18th birthday and they done the usual birthday shenanigans and gave him a pint on the house ! my starters and mains was taken off the bill and information provided was excellent well done Brandon ! you deserved your tip !!
Waiting staff were excellent, kitchen staff were not, we were left waiting for a main course for over 20 minutes after the first main was brought out.
We had to wait over an hour for food and to pay, we went there with two boys age 9 and 11 who were starving. Service was haphazard. Food was dire, lots of melted cheese. My burger was missing the bacon. We telephoned and asked said it was a birthday celebration, however nothing special happened and at the end of the meal we had been there till 9:20 and just wanted to get the kids home. The decor is dated and dustry. Food was expensive, we all agreed Nandos as an equivalent restaurant is much better value and food! I'd avoid like the plague.
Chips were cold and service was quite slow, waited quite a long time for our food (even starters).
Very disappointing experience, service was slow, food over cooked and one dish was missing vegetables. Birthday song for my daughter was good but really not impressed overall
Very pleasant staff but slow and forgetful service
The food is amazing and the service is when it’s not busy, however when it’s busy there never seems to be enough staff to man everyone and people are left waiting for a while to place their order we eventually had to ask to place our order which was quite frustrating however we could see how busy everyone was
We were sat down promptly. The waitress came over 2 minutes later to introduce herself. We ordered and our starters came quickly. However when we received our mains, one of the sides were missing. I enquired with THREE different waiters/waitresses, and even though they said they were going to get it, we ended up getting the side at the END of our meal...?! BOTH our sides were thrown onto ONE plate, disgusting. The side also tasted gone off, and when I told the waitress she said she will go and tell her manager... which she clearly didn't care or have any intentions to. I understand it's busy but the service is always terrible at TGIs, if it wasn't for the good food - I wouldn't recommend the Croydon branch to anyone.
Ashley who was serving us that day was very friendly and attentive. Food was served hot.
Greeting and order taking was fine having Coeliac Diease a manager took our food order. Drinks took a awfull long time to arrive. My Well done Steak ordered Well Done even still had blood dripping from it. Waiters where running about everywhere but never come back to our table to ask how our food was. Eat about one third but had to leave the steak. I ordered my dessert with main order. Wife ask for the dessert menu when plates where collected then I mentioned about underdone Steak. 15 minutes waiting for a waiter to take Wife's dessert order in the end ordered two Lattes. Must of waited 20/25 minutes for my dessert. Which was removed from the bill. Lattes Coffee arrived arrived Cold. At that point we gave up drank them and ask for the bill. Possibly the worst meal service ived had since using TGIS
Had a lovely evening food was great but took about half hour after ordering to get are drinks and it wasn't busy
booked a Valentine's day reservation for 10pm wasnt told what time kitchen would close so we weren't able to get dessert. but overrall it was ok
Went on valentines expected it to be very busy, luckily it wasn't, but the service was extremely slow considering the fact it wasn't busy my first drink took 40 minutes to arrive, I ordered a Strawberry daiquiri, usually the glass is rimmed with sugar, it was rimmed with salt instead, which was disgusting. Our food took almost an hour, when it came it was lukewarm and we wasn't given any cutlery, I then ordered a birthday cake shake as a "dessert" and the cake on top was rock hard and stale. im shocked considering the usual high standard of this Fridays, it ruined my evening.
Myself and boyfriend have been before and it was great and the service was amazing... so we decided to have our valentines meal here. Unfortunately it wasn’t the same experience this time round. The staff seemed very rushed and there seemed to be some tension between them as there was one bubbly helpful lady who seemed to be doing all the work and rushing round for everyone’s tables when the some of the others seemed a lot more slow. Our drinks came after our starter, we got refillable diet cokes but everything seemed so slow (considering it wasn’t as busy as what we thought it was going to be) that through most the meal our glasses were empty. The food was still good as usual but just the atmosphere all seemed a bit run down... especially on Valentine’s Day. We will probably go back again because our first experience here was great but this time round was a different story.
It was a nice evening although my meal wasn’t correct so I had to then find someone and wait for the rest of my food to come & my food wasn’t really hot so wasn’t as enjoyable but the starter was very pleasing it was a nice valentines evening, I’d always go back to TGI’s the food is always worthy just hopefully it will be a lot warmer next time and service is quicker
Waited over 40 minutes for our starter. Waiter never apologised, gave us an explanation of indeed bothered with us very much. Restaurant was freezing, we complained to the waitress (not our server, hardly saw him). food was good when it did arrive. Restaurant needs a bit of tlc, toilets scruffy & not particularly clean. Outside is very poorly lit, my husband is disabled, no visible sineage to disabled parking bays which resulted in us really struggling to get him in. Overall a very poor experience, server didn't really want to know. Very disappointing. Doubt if we wil go back. Shame as we like the food.
Great service from Aran/Arun! Thank you?
Customer Service was very poor. I firstly asked for a bigger table because my partner's legs couldn't fit under the table because of his height. This request was declined even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. there was more than plenty spaces. We then ordered endless appetizers. It took ages for someone to take our order and it also took ages for our food to come. Our food came warm/cold which was also disappointing. To top this off we were rushed to eat because they were closing (which is understandable) so I didn't get to enjoy the full use of the endless appetizers
Overall a pleasant evening well spent. Fries were a bit salty so it may be better for customers to add their salt as needed.
Only gave a small tip below 10% because on occasions when we wanted more drinks or to even order our dessert we couldn’t see our server and had to wait around 10 mins to place the order. Our server was less than attentive and was lucky to get the tip we left. The food was good and portions good with the exception of the brownie dessert where we chose the sharing option and felt that the portion was small for sharing.
We were a party of 8 - 4 adults & 4 kids. Our table host Rebecca was fantastic. Fast & efficient service, attentive & used her good common sense to get the kids meal served first. She was also keen to take more orders throughout our dining experience. Great atmosphere, lovely cocktails.
The food was nice when it finally arrived we waited over 45 minutes for starters then again another 45minutes- 1hr for mains. continuously trying to find someone to refill our drinks that kept them being left at the bar and melting. We had a change of 3 waiters in the space of the time we were there. The food was OK when it finally arrived
We waited 1 hour for our starter, we couldn’t get refills on our drinks as our waiter was so busy we had to keep trying to find him. When our mains come my mothers was cold, we had to send back and by the time she got hers we were almost finished. Also they brought out our onion rings after we finished our meals. Wouldn’t go back again
