Very enjoyable night.
Was kept waiting 20 mins before waitresses came to take any order then we waited 35 mins for our starters and my sons meal then 10 mins after that arrived our means came and all we got told was nothing.
Was seated 10 minutes later than booking time. Waiting 20 minutes to be asked for drinks order once we were seated. (Cocktails has little to no alcohol in them) Waited 50 minutes for starters to arrive and then another 45 minutes for our mains to arrive. To top it off staff tried to overcharge us by £35 on our bill. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant AT ALL! Friendly waitresses but just awful service all round.
What a total shambles! A ruined Birthday treat for my little girl. We arrived at 7pm to a sticky table, floor, menus and cutlery. Despite calling the waitress twice, the Maitre de finally took our order at 7.40pm. “Still waiting on the tacos”, 3 out of 4 starters were served at 8.20pm. At 8.55pm, tired and hungry we gave up waiting for our mains to arrive, complained to the staff, asked to speak to the manager, who never came, I reclaimed my daughters birthday cake from the kitchen and walked out in disgust followed by a tearful child. 2 other parties were also complaining about the appalling service. Thank you TGI for ruining our birthday treat.
Service was practically non existent, we arrived early can. 18.30 but didn't receive the dessert until 20:10. The table was cramped, positive the food tasted good although nobody was satisfied. All in all I don't think we will be visiting again.
Service is ridiculously slow. We waited 45 minutes after ordering for our food to find it was luke warm. Its not the first time either we have had to wait to eat cold food.
Waited over 1 hour 30 mins after ordering to be told the food still will be 30/40 mins more as they have a problem in the kitchen
Arrived at 7pm for my sons 15th birthday dinner. Table service diabolical from the start, waited 1.5 hours for the food to arrive, when it did it was at best average, burgers were dry and ribs over cooked, eventually left the restaurant at 10.20pm. Manager was very apologetic and provided discount on the bill but this could not take away the fact it was a special occasion that was ruined by bad service and food.
Very disappointed that my request for decorating the booth for my sons 13th birthday was not accomplished again!! No balloons?? Please. Long wait for food and table to be ready. Not impressed
Waited just over one hour to just order food and drinks - one hour 20 min - we had our drinks 2 hours later our food come out Waiter only had the bill to complete on one table before only having our table to serve! Terrible service and hungry kids including the birthday boy!!
Some of the drinks tasted strange, the waiter said it maybe due to syrup spilling on the ice, yet that didn’t explain the foam on the surface of the drink. We couldn’t understand the waiter to well and the wait for food and especially drinks were way too long. We waited around 40 minutes for one drink! The staff messed up singing Happy Birthday to my son, it was done without any fuss and because of the wait we had we were told it was too late to order Irish coffee’s. As I spent nearly £400 on this meal, it was a big disappointment.
I had been looking forward to going to TGI for my birthday meal but unfortunately I was very disappointed, as were the other people at my table. Firstly drinks at the bar took forever to be made and then even when other people asked for non alcoholic drinks like coke they either didn’t come or came way too late. 2 people at my table had potato skins which were burnt. The food was not very well done, those who had beef burgers all had dry burgers, steak was meant to be medium rare and was medium, burger buns were dry. I definitely won’t be going back there, and I highly doubt the other 13 people at my table will be going back either.
Celebrating daughters 7th birthday. The slush she ordered was a glass of ice with a drizzle of fruit purée. We Had to wait over an hour for our food and then one meal did not come out until the others had almost finished. We asked for sauces that did not arrive, we were given dessert forms to fill out for the kids with no pens. Just a shambles from start to finish. Was sat at table for over 3 hours trying to keep 4 young children and a baby happy. Ruined the whole birthday treat. Staff were apologetic but no one had a clue what was happening.
Waited ages for drinks. We had finished starter before drinks even come out. Plus kids pizza was like a frozen pizza They are to busy to keep track of everyone and everything
Excellent service. Lovely food. Very happy
Wouldnt come back
Good food but our starters came at different times, colleagues starter was missed in kitchen. Mains came out before starters were finished, my colleague had only just been given the starter. Waitress didn’t seem overly concerned when we chased the starter.
We waited a long time for our starters, when we started to eat them they the brand out our mains!! They took them back but when we then got them they had obviously been kept on a warm plate as some of our meals were not very warm and dry..
I was very disappointed by the service on Sunday. I had booked (in advance) a table for 12 to celebrate my birthday. Upon arrival I was told that due to staffing issues my table wasn't ready and it would be another 30min wait. I was offered two booths that would separate my group so I opted to wait. Whilst waiting in the bar area with my guests we noticed a area that wasn't being used and ask a member of staff if it was possible to sit there. She was very reluctant to help us so I asked to speak to a manager. He was very helpful and arranged for tables to be moved in order for us to sit there. Once sat down we were left there without any menus (just the drinks menu) and after a 15mins wait had to find someone to let them know. Drinks were ordered and took another 30mins to arrive (even then certain drinks were missed off). Once the food finally arrived (the time is now around 8pm) the quality wasn't great and we had to send dishes back as the food was cold. So disappointed by the service and treatment we quickly done my cake, got the bill and left. This wasn't a great experience especially for a birthday celebration. I advice a review of your reservation policy. I certainly won't be dining here again
Food and staff are always great. However, it was extra noisy on Sunday, there's a birthday party which was understable but teenagers literally screaming on top of their voice for a good few hours was not a good experience. Slow service but because either very busy or understaffed. Not coming back to this branch.
Haven’t been to a TGI for a while. Nice experience staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was tasty with good portion sizes.
I had a lovely evening with tgi but I do feel it was very very rushed through everything
Our food had to be sent back as it was wrong then when it came the kids food was cold again we never got our side order and the food wasn’t hot
We had wait over an hour for us to receive our mains. Food was lovely when it did arrive.
Our party of 25 was waiting for so long for our lunch. It was clearly under staff and the poor waitress was run off her feet. Some people ordered the starters and some didn’t but the main meal we waited on for so long. We got to the Croydon one just after 13.00pm and left 17.00 too long with children. Also I didn’t get my deposit back. It was clearly under staff and there was lots of parties going on. You would have thought the manager would have been have organised a lot better. So we will never go back. I use to go to TGI when it first open and it was so good now it’s all run down and the toilets were not cleaned. Dirty toilets = dirty kitchen
