Very disappointed with food and service only good service we had was the manager when we complained we were there at 7:45 didn’t get are mains till 9:20 had long wait on drinks, brought drinks over to us we didn’t order it was hard to get someone to take are orders Not a good experience at all £94 pound bill I expected better service.
Very slow service, not due to the waitress she was very polite and pleasant and couldn’t apologise enough but the food took and hour and 20 minutes to come.
Easy booking online, the food was fantastic and we were served very quickly.
Service was really good, waitress was friendly and helpful.
Food was fantastic, the service..not so much! We were left waiting on multiple occasions for long periods of time and felt completely forgotten about in the corner of the restuarant. We ended up having to attract the attention of the manager who was attending a nearby table just to get them to take away the plates and finally pay the bill.
Service and quality of food was absolutely dreadful from start to finish. Never have I been so disappointed. The order of issues were - 1. My son’s glass of water was served in an unwashed filthy glass with white bits floating within the glass. 2. My husband ordered a half rack of ribs and got a full rack of ribs. 3. My daughter’s pizza was burnt 4. I ordered a water and I had to ask for it again 5. My meal was incomplete as no corn of the cob was on the plate and I had to ask why it wasn’t there and the excuse I was given was that they had probably run out. 6. My husband ordered hot wings and they were dry with no sauce on them. 7. My kids meals were supposed to come with vegetable sticks and I had to ask for them. This was our first day of our holiday visiting Bristol and I found the experience at Cribbs Causeway the most dreadful ever and I have been to a few TGIs, but I shall not come back to yours. To not pay any attention to what you are cooking, presenting and serving is a disgrace.
It was very busy so I fully understand delays, our server was lovely and kept chasing our food. Ordered about 7.10 got starters approx 8 and only 1 the other was delayed. Food lovely, but another delay for mains and for a pint of beer. Meant we were still eating/drinking until approx 9pm.
Sadly a disappointing visit. We had requested a booth table for our sons Birthday - we arrived a bit early but managed to get a booth table which was great. Our waitress was very jolly, slightly too familiar but I guess that is the ethos there. All staff very bubbly - lots of happy birthday chants going on and a balloon hat given. Again a bit OTT but that is TGI. Service was pretty poor in all honestly - not the friendliness but the speed. We had to summon someone to get more drinks - only wanted water but had to ask 3 times...and in the end my son went up to the bar and got them himself! Waitress didn't know alcohol laws..as in under 18 years being allowed a drink with their meal. Not a big issue but made to feel a but stupid for even suggesting it (We didn't bother pursuing issue and getting one) We had free cocktail voucher but is all seemed a bit confusing as to what we could get - staff should be clear on what offers customers are being given! Nacho starters were a pitiful amount and really not worth the money. My chicken salad was OK but very leaf heavy..not a patch on what other chains like pizza express are offering these days. Boys burgers were fine, chips were nice. Husband had chicken satay or something like that- super sickly and sweet. We had to ask for a pudding order to be taken - when it came the rocky road (or cookie dough? can't remember) was a mush of cream - we think it was meant to be ice cream but was very sloppy and frankly a mess. Son's Brownie was good but served on a hot plate so the ice cream was melting away by the time it came to the table Thankfully we hadn't paid for them (an alternative offer to the cocktails) On the we didn't feel particularly pampered, the food was average, service slow - considering it didn't seem that busy and sadly not somewhere we will be returning. TGI used to be 'The' place back in the day. Now dragging behind others and a bit tacky :(
Very noisy, background music so loud could barely hear each other. Otherwise very good
Terrible experience as something went wrong in the kitchen and meals took a lifetime to come out ! Waitress was miserable ...and whist we waited to be seated on arrival we were told to have a drink at the bar haha on the night Bear grylls would struggle to find a drink as it was too hectic,So I’m not sure why front of house even suggested it absolutely ridiculous! but things were dealt with very professionally by “Harvey”
We have been here a number of times now and this was the worst service was slow food was over cooked I asked for extra sauce with the starter and main which arrived once I had finished each as the was my daughter birthday it was disappointing for all of us
The gluten-free menu was very restrictive. It was ok but very restrictive.
I was not very impressed to be honest!! We waited for someone to take our order , then I had pasta with chicken the chicken was awful rubbery could not eat it ! We had no cutlery on our table some of the items were not on the plate eg baked beans !! Service very slow would not be coming again !!!
Very nice food and fantastic service.
Friendly waitress but service very poor had to wait 50 minutes for our food with no explanation just a mumbled sorry about delay will not be visiting again!
Made our daughters birthday party special service was fab
Brilliant service and food
We arrived at 6.10pm. The Greeter was busy on the telephone so we waited to be seated. Once seated, we were given menu's and ordered our food. At 7.05pm, I enquired how much longer before our starters arrived.....The Birthday Boy was starving! They arrived straight after and were lovely. I went to order a Shake for the Birthday Boy but you had run out of milk so no chance! An older gentleman complained to your Server Claire about the time they had waited for food......over 50 mins. A Manager arrived and spoke to the older gentleman for quite a while at their table which was very near to our table.Their food was brought to the table. The Manager came back to their table and continued the conversation whilst the couple ate their food. The conversation went on and on. The older gentleman was clearly not happy about the wait. The Manager didn't agree on how long the wait was and stated it was 35 mins. The conversation continued and continued! The older gentleman was clearly unhappy and stated He was going to take his complaint further and was told 'thats your prerogative' Our food was lovely but it was a long wait. And I was put off at having to hear other people's complaints during our meal. I would have to agree with the older gentleman.......it was a long wait!!!
Service was sub standard and very slow (the place was empty). Asked to swap an item - this was taken from the table and the waitress never returned with the other item. In all the management are not keeping on top of the tables.
It is very expensive now so the food and service NEEDS to be top notch.
Very slow to get food out once ordered. Food was good though.
The service was brilliant and made my birthday one to remember :)
Quality and quantity....No Comparison, Superb
We have been dining at various TGI’s for years including this one at Cribbs Causeway. This has been the worst experience we have had. The service was shocking. The waitress forgot our wine, ordered our meals incorrectly and when the wrong meal arrived she just disappeared, so we had to tell another waiter who took our food away but didn’t return. Absolutely disgusted with the level of customer service. As this is an American company who pride themselves on customer service you should be ashamed
Long gaps between the meals coming out. Some were finished before others started.
