Great food & service
The staff were very helpful and understanding when because of loss of purse were ynderstanding and helpful on payment for the meal. Very much would recommend to everyone because of their helpfulness, understanding and great customer service
Brilliant time my son loved it as it was his birthday also he wasn't nervous or scared due to his autism. AWESOME PLACE! 😁
It would have been a lovely meal with great service except we were put at a wobbly, tiny table by the toilets and kitchen entrance. Had prebooked and told them it was a special occasion so would have been nice to get a better table like I have done in other TGI's.
Mentioned it was my daughters 20th birthday celebrations ! Asked for a balloon hat ! Was told to ‘hold my horses’ after the 2nd ask ! I am still holding my horses ! Not impressed ! Staff not even that busy. We tried Crawley over Purley way Croydon but not a great experience !
We have been here lots and it’s great, food is always good. The staff are very friendly! I would recommend. I will come back again for sure.
Food was lovely, however I didn't appreciate seeing it again throughout today! I have been ill all day and will definitely be lodging a separate complaint.
We walked out 1 hour and 20 minutes after arriving, having only been served our starters or which one was sent back as was not cooked properly and was cold. We have never done this anywhere else.
I made a reservation with a note to explain that my husband is autistic and so we would appreciate a table located away from any noisy groups. On arrival, there appeared to be no record of our reservation, but fortunately the restaurant was not busy. A member of staff walked us to a small table surrounded by other people, so I said I had sent a reservation request as we would prefer a quieter table. She responded 'Good luck with that in a family restaurant.' I said 'well my husband is autistic, so can we sit over there' and pointed to a quiet corner. She huffed and puffed and said 'Yes that's fine'. Our server was then lovely, but the same girl that sat us down brought our food over. I said 'oh, our drinks have not yet arrived'. To which she said 'yes, they are being made now for you'. She was really quite rude and I was tempted to leave and eat somewhere else, but as my husband wanted to dine there as a treat we stayed. I would suggest getting rid of her!
Amazing yummy food. Only one thing I think they should stop, get new ways and ideas but the birthday bells & loud singing has gotta stop. Get enough of that at Smith & western. Need something new with the American theme.
waiting ages for drinks. kids strawberry slush tasted of carbonated water. no kids menus provided, had to collect them ourselves.
Great evening lovely food and great service from our waitress.
Excellent service, food and drink satisfying. Nice atmosphere enhanced by our excellent server Nikki.
As people with gluten-free diets we were impressed with the menu for this (and lactose intolerance). Also impressive was the process for taking our order - for anyone with an allergy or intolerance the duty manager takes the order and passes it directly to the kitchen where it is cooked separately from other food. My plate was clearly marked to ensure that only I received it. The burger that I ordered came with a tasty gluten and lactose free bun. I was also able to order a gluten-free beer. All very impressive.
Service was brilliant our waiter was very attentive even though it was very busy! booking system was quick and easy and a god send as there was a 2 hour wait for walk ins!
Poor service! Starters not cleared before mains came. Having to go up to bar twice to order more drinks and not asked if wanted any sauce when mains came out or cutlery. When we did get lady attention instead of getting bits she went off to get person seeing to are table and my friend watch her talk bout are table and keep looking over. Took another 5 minutes for us to then have someone actually come over and get bits asked for, Meaning are food been sitting getting cold.
I had a very disappointing experience to be honest; I’ve never been to TGIs before and I certainly won’t be going again any time soon. When I turned up with my friend we were ignored for about 5 minutes; admittedly the restaurant was exceptionally busy but 3 members of staff just walked past us. Even if we had be acknowledged and told we would be seated soon would be far better than to be ignored. When we were taken to our table it was not set up at all; again I understand that the staff were busy but I would have waited for our table to have been cleaned and prepared. Once our order was taken, the food (our starts) was fairly prompt which was good. However, I had the potato skins with bacon and it was barely warm; reheating skins needs more time. My friend had the hot wings to start and it was so hot and spicy that she commented on it to the waiter and he said that was the second complaint about them he had had. My friend likes spicy food but they were unbelievably hot and full of chilli; far too much and overpowering. Our mains came pretty quickly which again was good but this is where the meal was really disappointing; my friend had the chicken burger and when she picked up the bun it had a piece of plastic stuck to the underside. If she had bit into that it would had damaged her teeth or chocked her. When she told the waiter he went back to the kitchen and the kitchen manger came to speak us and explained they use these plastic things to identify the burgers and it had unfortunately got stuck and broke off in the bun. To be honest, I love going out for a meal and have enjoyed many experiences in Crawley restaurants and at the leisure park but TGIs is not to be rated highly at all; very disappointing experience: badlly organised and managed, very poor quality food and no quality control at all from the kitchen to the customer, cold and inedible plates of food, very noisy, not enough staff who are coping with many customers - the quality of service and food cannot therefore be of an exceptional standard let alone a high standard to which I’m sure TGIs desire to have. The Crawley TGIs need some serious looking at so that the eating experience is a good one for most if not all of its customers.
Was good to see Peter again keep on doing well!!!!
The food was food in general. I had the Gravy Seal which was alright - kids ate all their food as did my mum and my partner. Service was a bit on the slow side especially when we were trying to get drinks refilled.
Took my grandsons there they have been before & really liked it at Crawley
Good food but service was not brilliant. Quite a long time between courses and empty plates and glasses not removed
Over priced food and drink Rushed service
Firstly our waitress was lovely. However it took a long time for mediocre food to arrive. We then ordered dessert reminding them we would like the usual birthday celebrations for our daughter. After waiting an exceptionally long time they arrived, not all together & with no candle or celebrations. When we asked we were told the delay was because they had run out of bowls to put dessert in and no celebrations as they were short staffed. We were very disappointed as was our daughter. If they had been honest and told us earlier on or at least at time of ordering dessert of the situation we would have understood & managed our daughters expectations. We only found out when we questioned it after the long wait.
