It was my first time at TGI Fridays, and I absolutely loved it- can’t wait to go again! Me and my friend were served by Kieron who was absolutely fantastic!
When arriving at the restaurant we were asked if there was a special occasion for coming. We mentioned that one of our party had recently left our workplace and another had recently got engaged. At the end of our meal the whole team came over with a surprise cake for them and sang the TGI song,,,it was such a lovely surprise and not expected at all.....Topped the meal off perfectly!
Colleagues went ahead to order the food 30 minutes before our booking so it arrived on time at 1.10pm as we were on a works lunch with limited time however despite being very organised to do this the food did not come until 1.40pm wholly unacceptable and then the shrmip starter has a long black hair fried in to the batter. The waiting staff however were very lovely and attentive but the kitchen delay and hair completely let the restaurant down.
It was a bit like a below average road stop, pit stop. Drink order took 20 minutes to arrive. Apologies given by waitress. Table was sticky to touch. Had to wipe it with our own wipes we had with us. Food was not brilliant. Had potato skins with bacon to share to start. Potato skins were quite thick and hard. Tasteless. Bacon bits practically non existent. Definitely wouldn’t have again. Mains were mediocre. I had chicken, steak and prawn combo from Grill. Asked for medium steak. It was blood red in parts but okay. Chicken and prawns were fine The veg they served to accompany was atrocious. Couldn’t face any of it. I think it was burnt sweet potato and 2 mushrooms. Definitely would ask them to not serve that again. It was busy. Atmosphere was very loud. Staff appeared rushed. Very mediocre experience. 1 drink each and a bill of £70 for 3 people. Would rather have stayed at home. Won’t be returning any time soon. Not sure what has happened to TGI Fridays but it has deteriorated to being worse than a motorway cafe. You would perhaps get better value at a motorway cafe.
There was no rose wine .. no cheese for Nachos !?! Fajitas where burnt abc over spiced. Why was the branch open when only a poor choice of foods and drinks available
A children’s drink had a hair in the bottom and the children’s baked beans were freezing cold. The waitress apologised and changed the drink and beans. Did not feel that it was good for the price of the food at tgi that the chef could not even serve warm food
Where do I start? One of the worst dining experiences I ever had. My meal came out wrong, I only eat fish, and chicken came out. I was told it would be 15 mins to change, after we’d already waited over an hour for food. I told them to not bother as my family would have finished by then. My sons corn on the cob didn’t arrive until I asked again as did my nephews onion rings, by the time my dads green salad hadnt arrived I’d given up the will to live!! The fried onions were inedible, nobody enjoyed their meal!! To top it off my 2 youngest children decided to have a dessert, she ordered fairground attraction, what came out was nothing like it, once again I called the waitress over, she apologised & got her some candy floss & popcorn to add to her already not wanted ice cream sundae. The meal itself cost over £160, so not cheap , I think the waitress was as embarrassed as we were, it was a shambles and a huge disappointment on what should have been a joyous birthday meal out
As both and my partner both had intolerances, the waitress was unable to take our food order, therefore a manager came over who took our order without writing it down. She was very polite and told us how food was prepared separately. I order the Friday's Chicken Burger - it came without being cooked in the Jack Daniel's sauce, and without sauce and coleslaw - even though it did state it on the menu. If the restaurant is going to send over someone with more seniority to take an order, you'd think they would get it right!!! TGI's has always been my favourite restaurant, however I will not be returning in a hurry
Had to wait over an hour for food, which is a long time when you have children to keep occupied. The menu choices are very limited, food and drinks are completely overpriced. Refillable coke only available on diet versions which seems very unfair given that it's more expensive too.
Always an enjoyable experience and great cocktails
Waited 50 minutes for starter which were awful; burnt and dried out! Tried to speak to waiter about wait for food but told that they were busy and there was a delay we might get them soon! They were clearly not busy as many empty tables. Food over cooked dry and hard not enjoyable at all. On booking it was advised it was my daughters birthday but no recognition during meal for this, a table near by had the birthday celebration so try explaining that to a child! We would not recommend and will not be using you again.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere would definitely dine here again
hi I love tgi but im now changing my mind food was so salty service was so slow 45 mins for deserts because desert lady had gone home apparantly, When we arrived the lady on front desk was rude she pointed out we we were late as she walked away with her back to us so i didnt catch her full sentence but my son just looked at me like what did she just say! and portions seemed smaller as well. so overall will spend my money elsewhere as its not the best value place to come really anymore. I say this because my sister made a point about asking how was my my meal as she also thought the food has gone downhill on her previous 2 visits.
All food orders were mixed up people were given wrong orders. Ordered a bottle of prosecco for it to arrive warm not chilled when we pointed this out the waitress went and got wine bucket with ice in but it still took 15mins waiting for it to chill all the bottles in fridge were warm
We had a very disappointing visit, table of 14 to celebrate a birthday. Waitress dropped a child’s meal on the table, just apologised and left it. 15 minutes difference in the first and last meal coming out, 9 of the meals where cold. Not acceptable really, and very unhappy.
My sons 18th birthday meal Had a brilliant night Would definitely recommend
Our waiter was absolutely faultless and the food was fantastic. Drinks quite expensive but top quality. I just wish I could afford to eat there every day!
Overall, apart from a few minor nit-pickings I had an amazing time dining at TGI Fridays. Our server on the day, Charlie, was amazing and very clearly committed to excellent customer service. She displayed this through her welcoming tone of voice and clear enthusiasm when taking our orders. Also, she showed excellent skill when dealing with an issue that we were actually not even aware occured, further evidencing her commitment to excellent customer serice. In terms of the food, it was absolutely gorgeous and definitely lived up to expectations. Only flaw I could find in the food hardly relates to the food at all. The plates looked a little bit dirty, nothing too serious at all, and I could forgive this given that it was busy and mistakes always get made in those circumstances. The only other issue I had was that the seat was right under a vent and the light above us was flickering, but the food and service definitely eclipsed this minor inconvenience. Some of the best service my girlfriend and I have ever had and would definitely come back again, thank you for the night!
It took forever to get our drinks, each time we ordered they never all came out at once and took some time, same with the puddings. Got our food order wrong twice, not our waiters fault as he had written it all down correct. Shame as it was my sons birthday treat. Very hot in there too.
Great for a family meal .
Service was sloooooow. Has been the last 3 times we’ve been there. Food and drink were good.
Service was good, a mistake with the order was easily rectified. We are disappointed to see the changed and limited menu, the tostada stack was missed. We’re not sure if we will be returning to TGI in the near future as the food is extremely overpriced for the standard provided. We have watched food quality and quantity diminish over many years visiting this TGI Fridays. It is simply not value for money.
Awful service during a very quiet lunch service. Dessert menu never offered.
Usually noisy and difficult to hold a conversation without shouting...however friendly service as always.
