We arrived looking forward to our food. TGI Fridays has always been a family favourite. The restaurant appeared busy for a Monday lunch time and it took at least 10 minutes for somebody to acknowledge us. I gave the name for our booking and was told initially we had missed our table (which we hadn’t, the name was incorrect) and then when confronted with the booking confirmation was told for tables of 6 I needed to input my card details and so the booking wasn’t confirmed. I showed the email confirmation again and was asked how long ago I made the reservation. I replied around 1 hour and half ago and was told that was why the system hadn’t updated. I was told there was only 1 table for 6 and we would have to make do with that despite having two other smaller children in prams. We waited a while for our drinks / food order to be taken. It appeared as though there was only 1 waitress on our side of the restaurant and she was rushed off her feet. The restaurant quickly cleared however and we were the only table left in that section with no sign of the food and not being asked for any further drinks or an explanation for the delay. As we were near the door we then overheard waitresses saying they were not serving anybody else because the kitchen had no gas. We waited for them to come and tell us so we could leave (as how would they be able to cook any food without gas and we still hadn’t received a thing) but they didn’t. We waited well over an hour and 30 minutes by the time we got our food. The food to say the least was awful. It was burned greasy and a complete mess on the plate - we had to send various plates back which they were supposed to replace but after waiting another 30 mins when the rest of the food had been eaten, we told them not to bother. We then overheard a waitress tell somebody that all the kitchen staff had walked out. When we finished we never received an apology for our food or the delay and so we asked to speak to a manager. The manager came from the kitchen where she had been working (we are not sure if this is because of the staffing issue) where we eventually received an apology and was told there was an issue with the boiler but became very upset when we said we had overheard that the chef had walked out. We didn’t pay for our food, the manager said she would take care of it which was nice of her but really the least she could do. The service, atmosphere and food was terrible and it’s a shame to say we will not be returning to the restaurant again.
My brothers, sister and myself meet up here every other month to catchup. We have tried one or two other places but always come back to TGI’s.
Staff are really friendly and always there, food is tasty but personally think it’s a bit over priced. Wouldn’t stop me from coming back though it’s a lovely place
Food wasn’t hot, barely warm, there was a considerable size difference between my children’s meals which were off the same little leagues menu. There was no one around us so I went to the front desk to pay to which I was told I needed to go and find my waitress, but we had 2 so had to wait for 10 minutes to pay whilst my children and partner had already left, staff made me wait whilst they had a chat amongst themselves even though they could see me stood waiting. we usually love tgi’s But on this occasion we were disappointed with the overall service and food.
Great evening very good food and friendly and helpful staff
Food was cold had to be sent back. Very nice once it was warm. Also forgot to bring out my daughters dessert so had to chase that. I was offered no reduction to my bill for the poor service
Very friendly staff all go out of there way to help you definitely make me go back
What a disappointment! We used too love coming to TGI Fridays as a treat and on this occasion it was my wife and sons joint birthday. The menu was limited and the standard and presentation of the food was a far cry from what it used to be and very poor. The portions were a lot smaller and extremely disappointing considering the cost. The quality of the food in general was found to be wanting. Sadly as a consequence of this experience we will not be returning to TGI Friday anytime soon.
Poor service, asked for a glass of water twice and never received one Warrior burger had cheese on one burger patty but not the other Ribs were over cooked on the underside Both left with splitting headaches due to the volume inside Won’t be returning anytime soon
Disappointed to find my favourite meal, stacked veg tostada has been taken off the menu. Waitress did ask if it was possible to have it but you no longer have the ingredient to make it .
Great experience. Visited with family for my daughter's Birthday and staff made her feel very special. Now my son also wants to go to Friday's for his Birthday.
Our waitress was fantastic. She was so friendly and helpful and great with the kids
Had a lovely meal. Waitress was excellent despite restaurant being slightly understaffed. Would definitely return.
When booking said it was for a birthday and told the waitress on arrival and nothing was done for it yet many other birthdays that night when we were in TGI’s. Food was average, not quick service. Waiter was good.
Staff were friendly and polite, food tasted great
Food nice but not worth the price being charged.
Service was a little lax but the restaurant was busy
Very quick at being seated and food order taken but after that we never really saw a member of staff till food came out but it was busy food was lovely kids meals came out first which is fantastic so they don't have to wait to long would definitely come back
Joanne f was amazing!! Nothing too much trouble.. funny and great with our little boy x thank you!!
All seemed good on arrival taken straight to pre booked table waited 25 minutes to order then 45 minutes before food came soft drinks where 45% ice and 17 fries equal 1 portion at £4.50 then waited 25 minutes after meal for a dessert will not be returning
First time visiting and can’t wait to come back
Our waitress Camilla was great always there to tend to all our needs. Lovely & friendly hope if we go again we get camilla to look after us again.
