Soggy loaded fries and sesame chicken was very dry even with sauce.
The food was OK, the atmosphere was OK, the service was OK - nothing to complain about but the prices, especially for the drinks, does seem excessive for an average meal.
Great meal, atmosphere and service.
Speedy service, attentive servers and great food!
Good value and enjoyable meal.
Great Service, very nice, friendly and efficient. Food was good, although it wasn't many vegetarian options.
Our watiter ‘Ben’ was extremely helpful , friendly and very polite .
Lovely evening celebrating with fab service and lovely food
Staff very kind and helpful. Delicious food. Pleasure to be there.
Lovely food but quite expensive
Best place to celebrate a birthday!!! Harley was an amazing server and nothing was too much trouble.
The food was mostly very good however one dish was poor! We appreciate that you are offering vegan dishes however the vegan pasta was not good. It was poorly presented with veg just tipped on one side and all the sauce had soaked into the pasta making it dry. It was, to be blunt, pale and unapettising -it would be better just not to offer such dishes if you aren't going to care about them. After asking a couple of times for sauce, and then some ketchup to put on it when kept being told the sauce was on, my husband was brought some more sauce which did lift the dish but he should not have been refused twice, especially when the dish looked so appalling. He was offered a different meal before being given sauce, which was all he wanted. Perhaps you could try a tiny bit harder to offer a vegan meal, it's really not that hard!
On reserving a table TGI Friday's ask that you arrive 15 minutes early. We arrived 10 minutes early then had to wait 5 minutes whilst e table was cleared. Around us were dirty uncleared tables, staff walking past dirty uncleared tables towards the kitchen empty handed repeatedly. The starter took 30 mins to arrive, only two sharing plates of potato skins and a bucket of bones. The potato skins were cremated when they arrived. Our waiter obviously messed the order up but instead of apologising just avoided us for half an hour. The mains were quicker. Came to ask when we'd finished the mains did we want anything else, when we said 'no thanks, just the bill' he walked off without clearing any plates. We would have ordered dessert- it was a celebration after all- but didn't want to wait another half an hour. Also in the back of my mind was the wording on the reservation email form TGI Friday's 'we respectfully require your table back by 8.45pm'......... Another member of staff came and offered to knock the starters off the bill which was gratefully received. The first waiter came back and asked if we wanted anything else and I had to ask for the bill again. As we got up to leave the Manager came over to apologise but clearly wasn't aware of the level of service we had received. There were two members of staff in training which had led to the poor service, surely someone would be supervising staff in training? We were told that they were busy but there were a lot of empty tables and although I understand that staff/shortages/training may have been an issue we were surrounded by uncleared tables for the time we were there with staff walking past them empty handed again and again. I've worked in the service industry as have both of my daughters so we all understand the pressure that waiting staff are under but there was just no excuse for a messy restaurant on this occasion. We were celebrating two birthdays and were looking forward to a family meal out together. The evening was memorable but for the wrong reasons. We've been visiting TGI's for at least 25 years with our family but it's unlikely we'll be returning following this visit. Our last visit wasn't much better but on that occasion as it was a December birthday we decided the service may have been seasonally affected. On Sunday the Manager did her best to offer us some money off the bill for the inconvenience. I appreciate that it's a team effort but it would be better to run an efficient team. We were prepared to pay for a night out and TGI Fridays isn't the cheapest around. The food was mostly good when it arrived but the service and surroundings didn't stand up to it. The Gents toilets were in a shocking state too according to my husband.
Waitress was fab.
Great service, fun atmosphere and delicious food.
New menu when we went last night, advertising salad wedge with sauce to chose from, having had this experience at Miller and carter we were expecting someone similar, well how wrong were we, this was 4 lettuce leaves on a plate with a squirt of sauce and some chopped tomatoes in a herby dressing, this was your only choice with steak so really there was no choice because Miller and Carter salad wedge it’s not!! Steak and chips ok, not as good as I’ve had from TGIs before though, table was dirty though when we were sat at it, decor looking tired and no flavoured gins even though this so now!! As always service good and staff entertaining.
Good food with lots of choice . Service excellent very attentive from Harley. Was a good birthday for my daughter on her sixteenth.
Good food, decent service! Can’t complain!
All staff friendly and food very tasty
Can I just say how amazing the male waiter was for us. I'm really not sure of his name but he was absolutely fantastic with my son, put a message on a balloon for him and did things to make him laugh throughout the meal, even when we were leaving. Absolutely fantastic guy, a credit to tgi Fridays! Hope we see him again next time we come!
Drinks service was agony. Almost gave up. Food average. Table service slow and indifferent. Only came to life during happy birthday song. I have used Coventry TGI many times. Cheltenham was poor. Would never return.
Service was poor, seem to take ages even tho there was hardly anyone else in there
Inexperienced staff, did not seem to be a visible manager around. Two of the waitresses were cleaning a table close to ours they were complaining how sticky the floor was and then continued to loudly use an expletive when further complaining about the floor. Then a male bar staff left the bar to come up to the waitresses designated section and placed a hot spoon from a cocktail he was making on the hand of a waitress who let out a loud scream, the bar man then placed the spoon back into the cocktail and proceeded to finish making the drink with the spoon for a customer. During this the other staff found this very ammusing and clearly did not see this behaviour as inappropriate. Myself and the other diners at my table felt very uncomfortable and there did not seem to be a senior member of staff to monitor this behaviour.
