Excellent table service as usual, big thanks to Sam our waiter
Plates were dirty had white sticker thing on them sent one back. Team were really nice and food and drinks were awesome.
Booked table for 5pm on a Saturday, so it was very busy with the queue going out the entrance door, which resulted in us waiting near ten minutes. The seating was dirty and we ended up pushing food on the seating onto the floor, On ordering our drinks I wanted a pint of orange juice and lemonade, only to be told I can't have a pint as the glasses have beer manufactures printing on them. Seriously? Just buy some plain pint glasses! The waiting staff were quite stressed but provided a reasonable level of service. However we received incorrect food in our order. This was sorted in quick time by the staff. The food was quite good only a little low on the normal high standard of food quality. The pricing was high for what we got, but staff done very well with birthday song for my lad, and he got cake too.
Amazing service, food was pleasant
I came to TGI’s on a Friday night and with a booming restaurant full of life the service was still so quick and superb! I came and ate dinner with my partner and had the legendary glaze with both my starter (battered prawns) and my main (sesame chicken strips) cannot get enough of that stuff!
Great evening, made my daughters birthday meal very special. Highly recommend.
Emily was amazeballs
The personalised card was a lovely touch!
A greater vegetarian option would be nice as would a larger non dairy option.....we found all our dishes overcooked and dry ..Our son really wanted to come here for his birthday as at a differant branchmy daughter really enjoyed hers and the team made a lovely fuss when it was cake time !!.this was probably our last time celebrating a birthday here .as the staff were very lacklustre.
Air conditioning was broken and restaurant freezing and had to eat in coats, kids were too cold to stay for desert, as result of the air conditioning issue the food went cold very quickly. Service was ok but no apology made about the temperature even when I explained why I wouldn’t be able to stay for desert. Kids menu very expensive compared to other comparable restaurants.
A menu to satisfy all the family, great atmosphere and even better service.
Came in with a group of nine of us, first my cocktail didn’t taste or look like a strawberry daiquiri so sent it back, then as the meals came out one of the girls was told that the salmon wasn’t available so she had to wait for something whilst we were all eating, then they had no wine on offer at all, nor any brandy, the girl that served us was lovely throughout and she was new, someone did come out to apologise from the kitchen but blamed the new member of staff serving us that it was her fault she didn’t tell us about the salmon thought that was very unprofessional Will not be going back there anytime soon
Very good, but slow on drinks
We booked a table of 7 on Sunday afternoon for our sons birthday. The restaurant was very busy and our table wasn’t ready when we arrived despite having booked. The staff were friendly and polite And I can’t fault them, but there didn’t seem to be enough staff to handle all of the tables efficiently enough. Our starters came out quite quickly, but there was a long wait for the main course after that. When the main arrived It wasn’t particularly warm But we were all hungry and had young children with us, so didn’t want to send it back and wait longer. Once we had finished We had to ask for the table to be cleared and for our bill at the end as we were all ready to go. The staff were just rushed off their feet. Our waitress was lovely and professional but had too many tables to serve
Slow, understaffed, don’t bother booking. Arrived 10mins early to a booking, was told to wait at the bar and come back in 10 mins for a table. Host returned in passing by the bar 10 mins later to say table is being prepared. After 40 mins of arriving a barman decided to find out what was going on. “Host has been looking for us” considering we hadn’t moved and was 1 of 4 couples at the bar I don’t think we was hard to lose, big bag of lies. Finally got a seat and every table around us was frustrated to order. Once we managed to order the food was quick, probably due to the long wait the rush had now gone. Would avoid on a Friday or Saturday night and especially after pay day.
We were very disappointed with the quality and service from the kitchen of our Main Meals. We both ordered Fillet steak. One ‘Blue’ and the other ‘Medium Rare’. A waitress brought our main meals to us when we still had our starter plates and cutlery on the table. We ordered both steaks to be accompanied with the ‘Blue cheese and Peppercorn sauce. When our mains arrived, one plate had no sauce and the other tgi’s signiture sauce. I went to ask a waitress for the sauces. She said she thought they were making a fresh batch up. (Why bring the steaks out if the sauce isn’t ready). She brought one out to which I said “we should have two” She said ‘No problem I will get another”. She never came back. Ages later another waiter brought another sauce out (By now my partner had nearly eaten his main course). The steak knives we were given were blunt and it was very difficult to cut through the steaks. Both the steaks were Blue, instead of one “Medium rare”, and mine had a big lump of fat in it. We had a very disappointed evening, especially as we ordered one of the most expensive items on the menu. Kind Regards, Tracy
Our food was served promptly but we were forgotten about after that for about 45 minutes. I had to ask somebody to clear our table in the end and for more drinks. We asked on arrival if staff could present our son with he’s Birthday cake but we waited for a long time and had to remind staff, as I think it had got forgotten
Food was amazing as per usual but the mojito we had this time wasn’t nice at all, we’re sure this is a one off as every other time we’ve had one they’ve been fine
Our waitress was lovely, we arrived 15 minutes early and were seated straight away even thought it was busy. I ordered a chicken burger which came out with no sauce on it, the chicken was quite dry as well. My partner had ribs and he said they were ok.
The majority of the meal was fine but the corn on the cob was uneadible. Three of us had them and all were like rubber. We asked for new corn but the second lot was worse. Still like rubber but this time with fridge cold patches. It clearly isn’t cooked to order and I suggest how it is prepared is reviewed. Thanks
Pasta main was dry and bland . Chicken fajitas chicken was dry veg without was like mush salsa watery guacamole no existent. Dessert disappointing
Nice atmosphere but my rump steak was tough. Other food was good though.
This restaurant is dreadfull, service was woeful, we order a cocktail and it was the worst I have ever tasted, was told the tea making facility was broken, I mean what you didn't have any hot water or even a kettle? restuarant is old, tired, dirty with many tables having cleaning products left on them and the food was awful. Will never go back
Our waiter was fantastic. It wasn’t daughters 18th birthday and be made her feel special with the cake, the singing and the hat! He’s a credit to the Braintree restaurant and first time I’ve seen a ‘TGi’ style/buzz in a waiter there.
Team where great food was lovely we always go to this one. Vanda was so good with us x
