Great experience, been a few times now and it never disappoints
I had a half rack of ribs, there were more bones than meat in between them. Expensive for what you get.
Sticky tables, dirty crockery & cutlery, disinterested staff and really awful restrooms means we won’t be back anytime soon. We love TGIs but sorry to say this is the worst branch we’ve ever visited :(
Great menus loved the food
Thank you for our service at the restaurant on Tuesday. Upon arrival the waitress was very friendly and pleasant. Our waiter Dan was so lovely and friendly, he is very professional and bubbly. He came over to ask if the meals are ok and if we wanted refills, this is appreciated as some waiters and waitresses take long to ask this and you have to approach them. Thank you Dan and the lady on the door, i dont know her name but she wore glasses and had shoulder lenght hair. We will be back over Xmas. Thank you TGIS, from the 3 ladies and little boy.
Very disappointed in this occasion. Having visited 2 years ago for my daughters 18th which includes two autistic children in the party, we were in forever gratitude for the service, kindness & understanding of our waiter Who I’m sure was called Jordan. He created a fun atmosphere and made us feel very special, his birthday wishes to my daughter stood out, he had the restaurant singing to her. Sadly in our return two years later, the restaurant lacked atmosphere and the ‘bouncers’ were just intimidating & unnecessary, our waiter thus time had zero personality and barely engaged with us. Rubbish atmosphere, poor service. The food as ever was lovely. I wouldn’t book here again for something so pivotal as a land mark birthday..
Food came out cold after a long wait. It did appear to be busy but warm food at least would have been nice. Good cocktails
Lighting was stark and univiting. While the waitress service was acceptable the food was slow to arrive and not of a particularly high standard. I understand TGI’s is known for birthday celebrations but the endless loud singing is not for me and start to grate after a while. We booked as I remember liking TGI’s some years ago but it’s gone downhill now. I’ll stick to miller and carry in future.
The night was very understaffed. There were 6 of us. 4 had received their drinks and it was only 20 minutes later after ASKING when the remaining drinks were brought to the table. Following this, our starters took 40 minutes to arrive. One of our starters was missing and the other was incorrect (dippers came out instead of prawns). We raised the issue immediately. Again, it took 20 minutes of waiting and we only received the correct starters after reminding staff REPEATEDLY. The service up until this point was awful. It was only when one of our dining party told waiting staff how poor the service had been AND that it was someone’s birthday in our party that service began to improve. We assumed that this poor service may have been compensated for in the bill (% off, voucher, etc.) but again, this did not happen. This would have been a nice gesture to have apologised for a pretty frustrating and disappointing evening.
Two course £17.99 chosen by the four of us, really enjoyed the food. We had to wait quite a long time for our drinks to come but the starters came just after our drinks and main followed in the right amount of time. We shall be booking for our Christmas meal as we have done for the past few years!!
Service was extremely slow. Food wasn’t what you expect for what you pay. Disappointed
Hadn't been for a while and most of our favourites have been replaced. Costs had also gone up a lot. However, the staff were lovely and we had a good night.
A very long wait for drinks
Service was very slow and food was not brought out together. Had to complain to manager who did resolve the problem but it should never have got to that point.
Jordon who served us was very knowledgeable in the menu recommending dishes. and giving us the best advice on what to have to eat. would recommend all server to be like him
Good food & plenty of it!!! Friendly staff. Could do with a larger seating area in the bar.
The service was very slow and not up to the usual standard at TGI’s. This happened about three years ago and a Canadian Manager was brought in who sorted it all out. The last two times we have been has been very much the same- very poor service! As the waitress was taking our order, a waiter came up and interrupted her. We had to constantly wait for someone to walk past the table to try and grab their attention if we wanted to order anything. The friend who I was with sat for nearly the whole starter, waiting to order another pint.
Our TGI experience was terrible! First of all we get to the table which wasn’t even set, no cutlery or napkins. After ordering our drinks, they took 25 MINUTES to be served to us! With the waitress still forgetting one drink! Starters took even longer! When the starters finally came round as there was no cutlery on the table beforehand she had to run and get some. One of the starters which was edamame beans was inedible, seemed like they had been steamed for less than a minute! Waitress didn’t even bother to come back around to check if the starters were okay, and after she brought them out we didn’t see her again for the rest of the evening, she must of finished her shift, not to sure. Finally the mains come out after what seemed like a very long wait! Two of the mains came out and it wasn’t until 10 minutes later that 3 other dishes came out! Bearing in mind there should be 6 main dishes! So one person was left waiting and after asking two staff members if another dish was coming, they both said yes but it seemed like they didn’t even check. We asked another waitress who actually did go and check as the manager came around and said there was a mix up with our order, and apparently one of our meals was ordered as a double portion instead of two separate meals. I do not see how that mistake could happen as firstly, the waitress counted she had the correct amount of meals and secondly, I have had that meal before & it was the same size portion i’ve had previously, definitely not a double portion! After just under 10 minutes the last dish finally arrived. Again, there was no cutlery available for when the mains arrived! After the first waitress disappeared, the second waitress we had was a lot better, she was very attentive and made what was a terrible experience a bit better. We didn’t catch her name but she had halloween makeup on (visited 28/10/2018). Thankfully the manager took a percentage of the bill due to the terrible service and errors made during our visit. Very unlikely to visit this TGI branch again.
Service was fab greeted by a lovely young man so smiley and friendly it was just effortless the lady who took our order was fab too really excellent customer service
Great happy birthday singing
Booked for a birthday party. Great when the staff sing happy burthday
Great food and a fast friendly service.
Food was lovely service was quick and great
We went as a large group (12 people). Are was seated in two booths. Which was disappointing, because surely the point of eating out is to socialise with the group of people you came with? As we was waiting we saw another area which would have been more suited to a group of our size. Never the less we sat down with no fuss and ordered. Waitress seemed nice enough. Although as the night progressed, orders were brought out incorrectly or not at all. One of our tables mains didn’t arrive for at least 15 mins after the first tables, and when they did, they was cold, a burning plate was handed carelessly to guest to hold and place on table (pretty much burning her hand). It’s a shame because majority of us enjoyed our food. Service let us down. Would not recommend for groups of 6 or more.
