David our waiter was excellent, refillable drinks weren’t very imaginative, chicken strip starter portions are smaller than before, triple stack burger was dry and over cooked.
Nice stuff and good food. Very noisy though so not the place to go if you want to chat.
Fantastic night! Our waiter was fantastic and we are particularly thankful to his expertise in dealing with young diners. He suggested bringing the toddlers food out with starters...great idea! and noticed when our toddler was becoming restless and entertained him with balloons and ice cream! We cant thank him enough helping us enjoy our meal even more! It was my birthday and the team serenaded me and gave me a slice of cake! Fabulous! We will be returning..... we love the Basildon restaurant!
Waiter was not very helpful. Our meal arrived without any coleslaw and when we asked where it was he said they had ran out. He didn't explain this prior to receiving our meal. My sons pineapple juice arrived half empty and when we asked for it to be topped up he took it away and brought it back with even less. We orders drinks which were then forgotten about and arrived around 30 minutes later. The bill was given to us without asking, basically being told to leave. Not a good service whatsoever.
We were quite disappointed with the food and service at TGIs, we went there as a party of 3 just for dinner, we booked earlier on the day using the app. We ordered our drinks first which my Pint arrived almost straight away and then about 10 minutes later the two bottomless Coke Zero arrived. We ordered our food and a while later two starters arrived and we had to ask after about 5 minutes for the third starter, I was forgotten about, the waiter apologised and that was fine. The main course arrived and the boneyard was ordered with no sauce and no onions, it arrived with onions, we scraped them off. One of the others ordered a full rack of ribs, the ribs were dry and the the glaze was burnt so made them tough and difficult to eat. The burger which was the other order was however very nice and tasty. We were so disappointed because we love TGIs but this was one of the most disappointing experience we had in here. Sorry but we expect better for an almost £100 bill for 3 people.
Very good service manger especially.
Staff lovely food good but toilets disgusting
Would of liked some coleslaw or salad with my main of ribs it was just those with chips and a corn cob seemed a bit boring
We had a great time at this restaurant i asked for tomahawk for my son as it was his birthday and when he ordered they changed it to this for me and we had a good time will go again.
Lovely food, really enjoyed it.
Was very disappointed with the service. Arrive 4.45 for our 5pm reservation was not seen till 5pm when I had to find someone to see to us. Got to our table waitress took drinks order waited 10 mins before she came back to say no slush re took the order and then waited another 10 mins before we got our drinks in this time we still had not had our food order taken. Food order taken at 5.35, food did come quite quick after that but was very disappointing as it was my son’s 9th birthday and we did not have time for them to sing happy birthday. Been coming to TGI’s for the last 3 years not sure I would return again.
Service was very slow for the second time very under staffed faultless food as always just made us not want to go back for the long waits for ordering food and getting drinks
Have been coming here for years. Good always amazing never had a problem. Always pretty slow bringing the bill and coming back for the money which annoys me but other than that everything is perfect
Great experience, great staff!
Staff very friendly & helpful
Attended for my daughters 18th .. had a fab evening .. she was made to feel really special and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
Always good food and good staff good times
Disappointed with the presentation of the food, it was also overcooked. A waitress was cleaning the table next to us. She put the cutlery on the seats where a child had just been standing, she then dropped some cutlery on the floor and instead of getting new ones, placed them on the table. I will not be in a hurry to go back again until the standards of cooking, presentation and hygiene have been improved.
We come here before for a birthday and it was great, son got lots of balloons and birthday wishes etc, this time come for daughters birthday she got a balloon on her head after the starter and a half hearted happy birthday song, Food had been under the heater light to long so was dry and buns were little hard and service was very slow. Don’t think will be returning again!
Lovely meal out at TGI Friday’s Basildob for our daughter’s 8th birthday. Good food and excellent service. Staff went out of their way to make our daughter feel special, especially our waitress Sophie. Our daughter loved her balloon hat! Only negative was that the Costa coffee wasn’t available at the end of our meal due to maintenance which was a little disappointing. That said we still had a great time.
Our server made our children's birthday meal special and was very attentive
On previous occasions we have always been satisfied but we have been to the restaurant twice in the last month and have been left very disappointment. On the first visit the starters turned up before they even managed to get a drink to us On the second occasion we waited about 45 minutes for our starter to arrive (my son was on his third drink before it arrived). There was no cutlery on the table and we had to ask and was left waiting with our starters getting cold. Then when the dinner arrived the ribs were fatty and definitely not up to the normal standard and the cheeseburger deluxe was awful and had to be left. TGI Basildon is somewhere we have been to on many occasions but after the service and poor food on the last two occasions we will be looking to go elsewhere. When you go out for a meal with your family and are spending £150+ you expect a better experience.
Staff always polite. Bit pricey especially for families but generally one of the better eateries at festival basildon.
Vanessa was fantastic! She had great banter with our table and was fantastic the entire night.
