Waitress was amazing she remembered my sisters name and called her by name every time she addressed her as it was her birthday and always kept our drinks topped up, shame the food was so slow! It took an hour for food to arrive and there was only a few other tables there
The food wasn't served at the same time. An order was forgotten and when chased still didn't turn up. Food portion sizes were poor for what we paid so poor value for money. Won't done there again. There were problems with other customers too. Very poor and disappointing.
Food came quickly but cutlery wasn’t replaced after starters Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and nice simple food.
Customer service in this restaurant is appalling. We arrived at front of house and there was two members of staff pumping up balloons for some children and not one of them approached us or looked at us. Finally we were approached by a young lady who didn't give us a welcome welcome at all. She looked confused to why we were standing in the restaurant if I'm honest. We mentioned that we had a booking and was led to our table. The noise from screaming children and the music in the restaurant led us to leave after 10 minutes of being sat down. Of course, no-one would have batted an eye-lid in that place if people got up and left. Not returning back to TGI Fridays again after that. Very poor customer service.
TGIs has always been one of our favourite restaurants but the last two times we’ve visited once to Nottingham and once to Derby have been appalling on the service front - the time we’ve been left waiting in between drinks and food Is ridiculous to that of the point we nearly asked for the bill yesterday (father’s day trey) before our mains had arriv e as it took over an hour from the starters / children’s mains to come which as I’m sure you can appreciate our 6 and 3 year old were beyond fed up and to top it off we’d filled in the challenge sheet from the children’s pack and on hamding a member of staff there filled in challenges expecting a free ice cream (as stated) the lady gave them there she’s back and replied “who’s your waiter as I am far too busy for this” which as Ann explanation to a 3 and 6 year old I’m sure you can see they wouldn’t understand this absolutely appalling following the way my children were spoken to we promptly asked for the bill and left. We won’t be in a hurry to return that’s for sure.
our server was amazing she couldn't of done enough for us. cant remember her name but she had blonde hair and was in a black and pink super hero outfit!
Family of 4. Enjoyed the square share, warrior burger, double stacker and kids loved the boneless bites and chicken wrap. Went on the best day as they had superhero day and did face painting outside the restaurant. Will be returning.
When you order your food and it's brought to you, I would at least expect everything at the same time. My main course I got my gravy seal burger but no fries had to wait a further 10 minutes how pathetic is that??
Out waitress Chloe D was wonderful. Attentive, cheery and very friendly. She even double checked with my friend whether she wanted the "birthday song" you do. I really appreciate the care as my friend who suffers with anxiety did not want that level of attention. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening, I will be rushing to come back
Would give the service 0 stars if possible. Worst service I have ever experienced. Did it even ask us if we had a reservation when arrived just walked us to a table without talking to us. The seat was dirty and wet so my clothes ended up ruined for the evening, as its not something you check before you sit down. Then i had to call over a waitor to order food after 30 minuets of waiting. He said it wasn't his job and that he would send Someone. Another 10 minutes later and we had to call Someone else over to take out order. Foood service was extremely slow. Food was below TGI standard with bad presentation and burnt food. After finishing food we asked for the bill ans said we wete paying on card which took another 20 minutes. When we asked for the card machine AGAIN once again we had to wait. Never witnessed service like it in TGIs
Good food and good service. It’s just a shame that we were seated near a birthday party where balloons were being popped constantly which led to our three year old eating much of her meal with her hands over her ears.
service and food were excellent will definitely return
TGI Fridays is always our first choice of restaurant for any occasion - it's so vibrant and fun but the food is amaaaaazing!
Good food, and service.
Friendly staff and great food! Would definitely recommend :)
Initial drinks order took a long time to arrive.
This was my first experience at this restaurant and I was so impressed , the staff were so welcoming and friendly absolutely rushed off their feet but smiling and happy and it was nice to see staff enjoying themselves whilst working. Our waitor was superb very professional and amazing at making my husbands 30th one to rember .
A little over priced and music is far too loud to be able to hold any sort of private conversation as you have to shout to be heard. Having said that left with a full stomach and the food was cooked well and waiting staff were attentive but not intrusive.
Derby is our Favourite TGI's. Always great service, friendly staff and hot fresh food.
We visit Derby branch a lot and decided to come for a birthday. Was the worst experience. It was 2 staff members last day and the shouting and screaming we thought was not on but what really annoyed us was the fact our food was sat at the pass whilst they celebrated. We found it highly unprofessional especially when the staff started throwing cake at each other on the restaurant floor. Will never return again
Nice atmosphere and our waitress was lovely. On the other hand we had to wait for quite long time for the food and popping strawberry margarita was a disappointment- dead strawberry as a decoration and popping candy smudged all over the glass, for the price of the drink I was definitely expected more.
The booking for a large party was easy in the restaurant a few days prior, our waitress on the night made sure my Daughter was the star as it was for her birthday, Collette is a credit to your company, was totally attentive throughout the night especially to the kids and 2 toddlers, amazing night, thanks to the staff at Derby intu.
Cleanliness could be better ! A lot of crumbs In crack at side of table and food on floor under table (wasn’t a busy evening!)
The poor service of having to wait over an hour for the starters totally ruined my daughters 21st birthday meal with the family. Even tho we received a discount which really made no difference as the night had already been ruined. We were more than happy to pay full price just so so disappointed and nothing would have made it better I was even asked when booking if it was a special occasion so why the poor service?
There was a great atmosphere during my birthday meal.
