About Terroir Tapas
TERROIR (Terroir – French pronunciation: [ter-wah] from terre, “land”) is the set of all environmental factors that affect a crop’s phenotype, including unique environment contexts, farming practices and a crop’s specific growth habitat.
We’ve taken our own twist: An eco-aware global tapas bar with a big nod to doing what we can to eliminate: waste, chemicals, unnecessary carbon trails and all the other challenges the Restaurant & Bar industry face to keep Mother Nature happy.
It’s all about preserving & enhancing what we have on earth.
Food was amazing! Love the veggie roast.
Most unique dining experience that I have experienced in the region - it is a gem and I will be telling everybody!
This was our first visit. We loved everything about it.
A fabulous find! A really enjoyable experience accompanied by enthusiastic staff who really love their concept. We even got to try a ‘work in progress’ tipple that was being created for New Year. We will definitely be back.
The food here is totally amazing. Not overpriced. The menu is imaginative and interesting, a masterclass on incredible vegetarian food that anyone would love (although there is some meat and fish too).
So good and staff explaining the dynamics of food and drink is a winner .
Great place, love the concept!! Food was fab..... will definitely visit again
Fantastic food, great friendly and up beat service and atmosphere. Great night.
I've been wanting to try Terroir for ages, so when I finally got round to it and it was your 2nd birthday, it seemed like it was meant to be! It was really busy when we arrived which was great to see. It took a long time to order drinks/ order food/food to arrive etc. But your team are a credit to you and completely saved the night by being communicative, friendly and confident; plus the drinks are very good! The food was a bit of a let down; with such a varied and interesting menu I was expecting big flavours and excitement, but it never really took me there! And I think some of the food was stood waiting at the pass a little too long sometimes, so maybe the dishes weren't hitting the table at their best. With it being the 2nd birthday I would've expected you to staff up and put your best foot forward for an awesome night; but instead it felt too busy for the team and like some of the love was lost. I wanted to love this venture as much as the Larderhouse, but alas it's the Larderhouse that I'll return to time and time again.
Really enjoyed our evening. Food was great - local produce each with its own story (being massively picky would opt to choose the order food was delivered) but, perfect timing full of flavour, interesting variety. Service was brilliant, again informative but not intrusive, friendly and helpful. Loved David Attenborough in the toilets- a brilliant touch hitting home what it’s all about! Will definitely return. Thank you 😊
We had a brilliant night thanks. Great food and really great service. Thanks very much.
Fantastic evening all round
Really great service, ethos and food.
Another exceptional dining experience. one of my favourite restaurants in Southbourne!
4th visit and 4th time loving everything you do !
Had a lovely evening and the food and service were great.
I celebrated my birthday with a meal out for 6 of us Booking was very easy and on the night service was excellent - in fact surprisingly better than usual, even though the restaurant was very busy. As usual, all dishes were delicious - I can't get enough of the Hispi Crumbed cabbage! All washed down with some lovely Red Tempranillo. Will definitely be back!
I'd like a greater choice of wine and like the wine glass to have a stem, just a personal preference. Food was so different , tasty just wonderful. The service was excellent too.
Great Story. Good quality food. Somewhere different and worth it.
Great food with a great ethos and friendly knowledgeable and helpful staff.
This was a first time visit. Terroir had been recommended by friends and we liked the concept, being ideals that we support. The atmosphere was great and staff friendly and good service but unfortunately the food itself was disappointing. We all left still hungry after exhausting our options to order more food. The plates were small for sharing eg. bread and dips - one roll per plate at £6 a go, really an individual portion. The food was tasty and interesting but all seemed over seasoned and very salty. Sadly didn’t meet our expectations for dinner but would be better as tapas with a few drinks.
Tasty food, great wine, great service, lovely atmosphere, looking forward to our next visit.
