About Hatton Court Hotel
Our fantastic restaurant and Alfresco JP Champagne Terrace and Tara Terrace have stunning panoramic views over Gloucester and the surrounding area. We offer a Sharing style menu offering great british and International classics. An excellent range of fresh and seasonal seafood platters. We offer traditional afternoon and cream teas.
Safe environment and very helpful and friendly staff. Food and drink very good. Covid dictates breakfast served in bedroom but it turned up hot delivered with a smile by staff. Very good experience for our first visit.
Very very good great service great food great value
Cannot fault. Staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble
The hotel and setting are both good. The views from the terrace are amazing (if a little spoiled by the marquees) The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was dated but had been luxurious in its day and still in good condition and in keeping with the classic style of the hotel. The food was very good especially the breakfast. Overall a very nice overnight stay to begin our staycation.
We have been 3 times this year because the food has been consistently good and often excellent and great value. 1st 2 visits rooms on 1st floor outside block were great and beds comfortable, but last trip 22nd Sept in room 27 bed was very saggy and both ended up up not sleeping well with a bad back in the morning. Would still be inclined to come again for the food.
Excellent, could not fault anything about our stay.
Very happy with our stay here, as it's tucked away in the middle of nowhere it is nice to just get away from everything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. The only thing we had a problem with was that the jacuzzi bath was a lot smaller then we expected and different from the picture when booked, as my partner is quite tall it was a bit of a squeeze. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Honestly such an amazing experience. From the staff to the room to the food to the location just an amazing experience
Very Freindly staff, good food and service, excellent room
Nice afternoon tea overall in a picturesque location. Would have been great to have been offered a top up on tea and coffee. Very generous on cakes and accomodating on dietry requirements. Booking was pleasant. Staff seemed nice.
The only comment I’d add is that the toilet needs attention and the rooms are tired carpet wise but I’m pleased you’re open in this Covid environment.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay, the hotel is lovely and the staff really attentive. We were particularly impressed with the management of the risks posed by Covid 19 and felt very safe. Just one small observation, whilst sat on the terrace enjoying the view and cream tea, the music was not that great!! That said the food was delicious.
We had a fantastic time. Your staff were lovely and very attentive. We are going to rebook for my birthday in November.
Bathrooms need a great deal of work doing
Another great stay. Yes some areas of the room look tiered and could do with some work. Toilet lid on cistern very grubby bath and looked like flooor had not been hoovered. However food absolutely amazing. See you woon
A nice location for our two-night stay. The Hotel has great charm. We were allocated accommodation in the “East/South? Wing” second floor but found the external stone steps to the first-floor irregular in height and difficult even in the fine weather which enjoyed during our stay. The internal staircase was in poor decorative order due to the lack of a lift which required luggage to be manhandled up the staircase causing unsightly scuffs on the walls. No portage was offered when registering with Reception, despite our age. Our opinion and speaking to other guests were that accommodation offered in this wing was not to the standard promoted by Hatton Group. Further, during “lock-down”, more could have been done to remedy the decorative condition of this wing. The reduced room service and reduced bathroom linen was considered an unnecessary imposition on guests but since our stay was only for two nights there was no significant impact. In the bar and restaurant, the staff were very attentive, and we appreciated their efforts to satisfy the needs of their guests despite the dictates of law and the Hatton Group Management. We appreciate that “the lock-down rules” is not the happiest for staff or guests. We had joined friends for lunch on our second day and requested whether light meals could be provided in the bar instead of a formal dinner in Sara Restaurant. We were advised that only crisps etc. were available in the bar. This resulted in us to adjourning to the Kings Head for light refreshment as an alternate Sara Restaurant.
Very good stay when I arrived we was given the wrong room we had paid for a upgraded room when this was pointed out our room was changed but the type of room was not available until the next day the staff was not available due to Covid 19 to prep room however we was willing to accept the room they moved us to but great staff very helpful good food and we would stay there again
Wonderful place with stunning views. Great food & sadetyy measures to keep everyone safe from COVID. Would highly recommend & will definitely revisit .
Loverly Hotel, Friendly staff, couldn't pick one member of staff out as all were excellent and couldn't do enough for us
Stayed for 1 night could not fault it , great food , room was spacious and bed very comfy . Staff friendly and professional especially with social distancing. Would definitely stay again
I only have one negative and that was the bar service, unfortunately the poor girl behind the bar was mostly on her own serving the restaurant the outside area the bar and she just couldn’t cope with the workload, on three occasions over our two day stay we sat about for over half hour waiting to be served drinks in the end we just left and went back to our rooms
Excellent all round. Great food, atmosphere, service, and great value for money.
Under the present circumstances my daughter and I had a memorable afternoon. I would highly recommend anyone going for afternoon tea @ Hatton Court hotel. Mandy Smith
Generally lovely accommodation. Views spoiled by wedding marquee out back. Useful base to visit the local area. Breakfast when had in the room as lacking in comparison to that when had in the restaurant. Nice rooms, good value for money. Drinks are expensive.
