About Sushi Kimura
Sushi Kimura, a 22-seater fine-dining sushi-ya, provides guests a private and intimate setting designed to invoke tradition and the four seasons through the use of centuries-old Noren (room dividers), heirlooms of Chef Kimura, and fine Japanese earthen wall plastering, each shade representing a season.
Throughout the restaurant, there are added personal touches from Chef Kimura as an ode to those who have taught him – a ceremonial tea set hand-painted by his master and personally hand-carved stamps on the placemats refecting the Japanese symbol for the current season.
Guests can expect to enjoy seasonally curated Edomae-style delicacies, fresh from Tsukiji Market, complemented with personally sourced organic staples and a meticulously paired sake and wine list.
Great service, Great sake & amazing sushi from fresh ingredients !
exceptional, perfect. we 😍
Excellent experience. Great food and service
Kimura is now a friend. Not just a master.
This is our second time having dinner at sushi kimura. It was a wonderful meal! We especially love the happy chef who made sushi for us with a big smile on his face! Can't wait to go back!
Great combination of food. As usual on my other dining experience, we ended up too full. But the food was amazing. The sake was good. Kimura san is friendly person. The entire staffs were great at service
A special thank you to Miss Akane who served us, we really had a wonderful time and definitely will come back again.
Excellent.. Akane san is just the best! Would love to see more seasonal fare in the line up!
Very friendly chef and great value for money
An outstanding experience all around. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about the food and the sake available. My only small piece of advice is that it would be great to have a sake pairing to be able to sample several different sake with various courses on the omakase menu. But we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
A lot of new experience after a Omakase here with Chef Kimura. New types of sushi, new Japanese vegetable tried, new knowledge gained. The staff made us feel welcomed
Excellent ingredients, thoughtful service and the birthday surprise made my hubby smile!
My virgin omakase experience and I have to say, this is the best dining experience I've had. Kimura-san was a delight and a great sport!
Wonderful experience and very high standards.
One of the best sushi restaurant in Singapore
Apart from good quality food, staff are also attentive to details like filling up hot green tea, etc.
Great meal always! Thanks!
Good food friendly chef.
Second visit and more to come!
I was very excited to try out Sushi Kimura as I’ve heard really good reviews of it. The starter was really good (crab with jelly) but unfortunately that was what I enjoyed most during the meal, chutoro and anago coming close. For one of the nigiri, the rice texture was not consistent, some grains slightly harder than others, which was quite weird, but I assume this doesn’t happen often, perhaps just a slip up. Also ordered an extra piece of horse mackerel and nodoguro. The horse mackerel was not consistent in texture, some parts really soft but there was a bulbous part that was unusually firm. Nodoguro was also served very cold for some reason. Overall, it was a decent meal, but a little hard to justify for the price. Perhaps it was an off day, but at the price point... it fell short of expectations.
Kimura-san never fails to satisfy my cravings for fine Japanese food. The standard is of the highest level.
I was with one friend in the private room (which sits up to 4), and that allowed me to have more private conversations with my friend. I ordered the biggest $250 menu (XXX) and I was looking forward to having the biggest lunch menu to indulge. However, we miss the showmanship of the chef as he prepares each dish and that's only for the counter seating. This is best booked way in advance, about 1-2 months if want to watch the performance. My friend and I had lots to chat about and were deep in conversation, and we felt a bit rushed in between each dish. The fish was fresh and flavourful and it was really nice to try the range of all the dishes. Portions were a bit small and even the finale signature rice bowl with ikura and uni was also small. Lucky for me, my lady friend could not finish her meal and I had 2 bowls of it. The only downside was I felt a bit rushed in between the dishes and we were even reminded multiple times that the restaurant was closing. Maybe cos they had someone come in to service the air-conditioning. This made the Michelin experience a tad bit disappointing on the service level, but overall, I had a great experience dining there and recommend dining at the counter.
Hands down the best Japanese restaurant in Singapore. Great atmosphere and a very friendly chef! Excellent food every time!
Truly is a Japanese fine gourmet dining experience for us again. Every dish is sourced from Japan according to the season, perfectly curated for our sumptuous enjoyment. Thank you for the ease in booking, warm hospitality, clean and pleasant ambience.
