About Sugar at Chelsea Bay
A city escape just a stone-throw away, Sugar at Chelsea Bay is a wonderland full of everything sweet. The lush green grounds and ocean view are the ideal spot for a day in the sun. Let your worries wash away with a glass of wine and elegant dishes in the restaurant, complete with a cabinet full of freshly baked take-home treats.
As always, food, coffee and views were amazing. However you need to get better air flow or air con the the main conservatory area, closest to the sea. Saw many people including us struggling in the heat - and it wasn’t even that sunny or hot! Also terrible service today. Slow, got multiple things wrong and one guy was seemed borderline rude and annoyed.
Always superb and on the to do list when in Auckland
A special place in every way. Spectacular environment, professional friendly staff, delectable food, great coffee!
Beautiful food in a lovely setting. We are never disappointed.
Such a fantastic experience. My father (82) did the Chelsea Sugar tour which really was enlightening! The restaurant setting and food was amazing. Defiantly coming back as soon as I find the opportunity, in fact I will create the ocassion. Brilliant. Very happy customer. Thank you
We had a most enjoyable trip around the factory - well explained & informative. Our lunch in the restaurant was lovely - sweet corn fritters & bacon & mushrooms for me & pork belly Benedict for my husband - both yummy ! All this & a beautiful view of Auckland through pohutakawa’s .
Always lovely and the site is so easy to find and parking abundant.
Staff friendly ..fabulous food
Lovely Brunch! Always a good idea to bring friends and family to this beautiful place :)
Great food. Great service. Excellent venue
Fabulous spot fantastic food
Our pre dinner drinks arrived after our meal had been delivered after much reminding the waitress that we were waiting for them. Delicious food thank you
Big breakfast was really big and great value. Loved the spicy sausage.
Lovely food and gorgeous food. The factory tour is well worth it if you have time.
Lovely space and view. Initial host and the girl we paid with were both super lovely and friendly but service was a little slow at the table. Our coffees arrived towards the end of our meal even though we ordered it all together. Food and drink were both tasty. Would go again.
Welcoming, friendly , efficient service , yummy food presentation great
Overall superb experienced
Such an amazing venue. Really good food options.
It was very noisy, I booked for 2 but next time book for 2.30 as a lot of people left at 2.30. Last time we discovered 10am was also a lot less people. We went to do virtual cooking with Annabelle, this was good fun $ will be coming back with my grandchildren.
Really appreciated having a table that could accommodate us with our 8 prams!
Couldn't be any better. Beautiful food. Next time will leave some room for something sweet out of your cabinet!
Absolutely delicious, as always!
I came from Hamilton and booked on-line about 3 weeks ago which was great. When we arrived as it was a very hot day you accommodated us by putting up an umbrella and moving us into the corner of the conservatory where there was a sea breeze and great views. The baking side of our choices were amazing, but the bacon & egg croissant was cold in the middle and was sent back when it arrived again it came back obviously microwaved so did not get any crispness just soggy. The coffees were watery and had no coffee flavour so your barista needs training as everyone remembers the coffees. The experience was good as I have always wanted to come to Sugar @ Chelsea Bay and if you can get your coffees up to 10 / 10 I will be back.
Beautiful eating experience and staff were excellent. A great place for a catch up with friends.
Enjoyed the experience. Fantastic view. Value for money.
