very good foods and cozy qouiet place in Edinburgh. Our children have also enjoyed their tasty fresh meals and drinks.
My second visit to Stocks was just as good as my first. We will definitely go back. Both the food & service are excellent.
Brilliant service and the food was amazing! Tip top
Wonderful food and friendly service. Had a lovely lunch
My daughter and I had a very good meal and service. We also went for breakfast the following morning and it was very good also.
Very nice team and a great restaurant!
Dinner was magnificent.
four of us dined and all enjoyed our separate choices - fish meat and veggie - all good
Great service. Lovely food and nice touch of Prosecco as we arrived for a birthday celebration
Had a fantastic date night here and would happily recommend. Food was such great value for central Edinburgh and really beautifully presented. We shall definitely return.
Delicious food and wine. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back. Would highly recommend a visit. 😀
Great meal and service. Will definitely be back!
Lovely food and friendly staff though we were a little disappointed that vegetables weren't included with the monkfish which was already quite expensive
Very good selection of fresh delicious food.
Enjoyed the meal overall. Restaurant is nice and in a good location. Food was excellent, particularly the scotch egg starter and fillet steak main. Our server was polite and friendly but ultimately not particularly knowledgable. His english wasn't great and therefore he misunderstood a few of our questions, and brought two incorrect drinks and an incorrect main. Would return to Stocks in the future.
Had to wait 30 mins for our table, then oeft waiting to order food and drink for another 20 mins. Food eventually arrived 1 and 3/4 hrs after we were supposed to be seated, and two of the 4 meals had to be sent back as they were cold. Burger had overcooked blue cheese on top - pretty poor experience.
Lovely, friendly staff who made the whole dining experience even better. Food was wonderful - will definitely be back!
I had lunch with two friends and it was our first visit to Stocks. We loved it. We had a 3 course lunch for £19.50. The choices on this menu were lovely and the food was superb. I should also mention the great service. We could not fault Stocks and will definitely be back again.
Compared with similar priced restaurants that we used during our visit to Edinburgh this was the best value for money with excellent food and service.
We were so well looked after at Stocks in both the restaurant and the bar. We will definitely be coming back!
We had a complimentary voucher from the Fraser suites as we weren’t entirely happy with our 2 night stay over my wedding in November. We were very grateful for this and looked forward to trying dinner there. The starter and main were okay, food presented well and tasted nice. Unfortunately the meal was ruined by the desserts. The creme brûlée was runny and watery underneath the caramel (with egg being in the mix we didn’t want to eat what could have possibly been raw) this is not the way creme brûlée should have been served. The Tiramisu came in a sundae glass and was a glass of runny cream. It did taste of coffee and chocolate, but you could have poured it out like a runny sauce it was really quite horrible. Tiramisu should be layered?!? We were offered a cheese board instead which was kind, but the cheese came with no explanation of what was what and one cheese looked like a melted Brie / pile of cheese sauce on the plate, it was strange. We advised that the desserts were not right and we are not sure if the comments were taken to the chef. Hopefully they were, as you can’t eat desserts with raw egg mixture like that. Unfortunately we are unlikely to eat here again as there are many more restaurants in the royal mile / high st location that are far superior. I would say stocks is reasonably priced compared to others, however you do get what you pay for.
Amazing food on both our visits , service second to none, lovely atmosphere and never rushed to finish . Can’t fault it one bit and will definitely return on our next trip
Food was very tasty and the service was amazing. Loved the wee present at bill paying time. Nice touch. We will be back
Staff wonderful Thankyou! Lovely evening
