About St Michaels Resort
The relaxed Brasserie on the Bay, overlooking our sub-tropical gardens and on to the dazzling sea, showcases the best in Cornish ingredients. Our head chef works closely with local producers, farmers and fishermen. Passionate about using locally grown, reared and hooked produce, he creates dishes that are fresh, of the highest quality and low in food miles.
Customer service was excellent and the covid measures in place were extremely good and reassuring. Food was excellent and very good value. Will definitely dine again.
Sublime food, exquisite tastes! Chef is extremely talented. Phill in the restaurant looked after us so well. He runs a great team and is very welcoming. Guy, Benn, Olivia and Maisie gave us great service and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect! We have had a week of 'out of this world' food! So accommodating with our child and with a nut allergy. Can not recommend enough. Thank you x
Excellent 2 day stay , food was excellent and the service also very good. The staff were also very accommodating at tweaking the menu for our grandson, his words “ Best Scrambled eggs he’s ever had” Would definitely book again
Amazing waiter service. Patient and kind
Fantastic staff, good size room , comfy bed , Best fish and chips for a long time in restaurant Only down side new building going up to side of hotel , which will cut views , but would not put off going again
Great service Friendly staff Great atmosphere
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. All the staff were great and exceptional in my opinion - Carol / Nadia at breakfast and Henna in reception. The only moan I will have is the price I paid per night for each room was extortionate, given this property is only 4 star. I don't mind paying more in the summer but I hope the hotel is not profiteering from the situation. I was surprised you charge guests to use the Hydrotherapy pool. It should be part of the package for guests just like the gym and swimming pool.
We stayed for my birthday weekend, long over due time off (work on the frontline in NHS) so was looking forward to time off. However was really disappointed, my wife booked spa hydro sessions but the pool was very cold, when raising it to spa staff they brought me the book to say it should be 35c but didn’t check the temperature of the actual pool... so we weren’t able to stay in there long due to it not being enjoyable. Also not informed that over half of the facilities were closed due to Covid, so only actually able to use that cold pool and wait for the outdoor hot tub to be free. The service in general was really slow, specially the food was very slow to come out, worst of all the breakfast - waiting 45mins and it was cold. The room we stayed in the bed was so soft we snuck half way down! Very uncomfortable. Overall an awful stay and I feel sorry for my wife spending so much money on it all.
Staff at the restaurant and resort are second to none, very lovely people and very genuinely helpful - nothing forced. There needs to be more Vegetarian and Vegan options as standard, but on the evening we dined, the chef made us a special pasta dish as there was nothing we could eat from the a la carte. It was very nice and despite being expensive - think this was more than fair given the special treatment we received
It was an enjoyable experience with great service and food. The food was particularly good value since we had booked dinner in advance, at the same time as making room reservations. Otherwise it would have been on the expensive side for rump steak.
Great service, good food.
Beautifully designed suite/accommodation. Service was excellent from very friendly and professional staff. Excellent food, but limited on snack menu. We had a very restful and pleasurable stay.
Breakfast was delicious
What a great find! The location, the hotel and the staff are all world class. We fell in love with Cornwall and will be back... Thank you to everybody at the St. Michaels Resort for making us feel so welcome, especially our six year old daughter Annabelle. Cannot wait to return.
So we paid £225 for a cosy double room which we weren’t happy with the room smelt musty, stains all on the carpet mould in the grout all over the tiles, bathroom door did not close properly, kettle didn’t boil fully and the iron didn’t have a lid so leaked everywhere really was not a great room experience when I’ve paid less and stayed in way better room there was also no option to upgrade other than the room the rest of the hotel experience was really nice
Excellent food and hospitality
Another lovely meal the crab cakes and seeded goujons were lovely.
Excellent hotel and restaurant, stunning views. Relaxed and laid back feel to resort. Food was delicious with well balanced flavours.
Amazing weekend! Staff were lovely and made the weekend great.
Was a lovely afternoon tea for my Mum’s birthday. The food was excellent - including her vegetarian option. The lady serving us was exceptionally pleasant and friendly. Thank you
Hotel was on a building site checked in 30 minutes late no champagne in the room not impressed checked out and went home not worth £800 for 3 nights
Possibly the worst steak I’ve ever had, Shane because apart from that all good.
The deserts are amazing and the sea bass was beautiful.
Lovely good, service and views
