About St Mawes Hotel
Lively and informal, yet without compromising on taste and style, Upper Deck dining at The St Mawes Hotel is a convivial experience, enjoying the best locally sourced local ingredients. We offer a “from the heart, from the hearth” philosophy with our food. The provenance of our produce is important to us; we know the farmers, the fisherman and the growers. Think sharing and grazing plates, and delicious Sunday roasts all enjoyed in a young vibrant atmosphere with alfresco tables making the most of the spectacular water views.
We love dogs at St Mawes Hotel, and they will be welcomed with a treat in the Lower Deck bar, where food and drink is also served. Dogs are not allowed on the Upper Deck.
We’re open 7 days a week, food served from 12 noon to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm.
We had a wonderfully festive and delicious evening - thank you!
Lovely to be out ! Good was good bit not outstanding Starters better than mains
Really enjoyed our lunch. Food was delicious & service friendly & efficient. View was perfect too.
Lovely location for lunch
Staff were absolutely lovely and we felt v covid safe and looked after. Super pizzas 🍕 Thank you
Good food in a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly helpful service.
We had a lovely evening only slightly spoilt by being unable to order teas/coffees at 10.05pm. We understood the 10pm last orders were for alcohol. We were not warned or asked prior to 10pm whether we would like to make a last order. This did happen on our previous visit when closing time was 10pm. Otherwise all good!
Really lovely evening. Great staff. Good food.
Perfect culinary experience !
An excellent dinner which my wife and I enjoyed more than The Idle Rocks. Many thanks
Excellent food with friendly, knowledgeable service.
Incredible food, exceptional service.
It would be nice to see more sharing platters. Excellent, attentive staff in these testing and unprecedented times of covid. We love the atmosphere st Mawes hotel offers. We visited twice during our stay and both were great.
Unfortunately the Sunday roast was below average. The food was cold and potatoes were soggy and stone cold. Lovely setting and a great place for a drink but I’d leave the food.
Really nice meal and very friendly staff
We were welcomed warmly and efficiently . Calm and unhurried service. Very good food and nice to be able to take home two extra desserts, though a pizza box was a tad too big for two small slices of tart! Car wouldn’t start so they called a taxi and kept an eye on car overnight until we could recover it the next day.👍🏻
Not obvious on the menu which dishes are vegetarian or vegan. My vegetarian pasta dish was delicious.
Good food and very efficient service.
We had the most wonderful evening at St Mawes Hotel. It was a totally relaxing atmosphere, the staff were attentive and the food was divine! Would absolutely recommend x thank you
Lovely and attentive staff
Fabulous evening- service and food was excellent, already booked again. The beef cheek was amazing.
Had a lovely relaxed Sunday lunch in a stunning setting. Dining room very light, airy and well furnished with cosy seating. Food and service excellent, loved the uniform staff wore too added a nautical touch. Views if harbour stunning.
10 Oct 2020 - An excellent lunch for myself and my five guests. We were very well looked after and the food was excellent...the Pear and Broccoli soup being delicious. Many thanks and see you again soon
