About Duke of York St Johns Wood
Eastablished in 1826, this landmark pub is located in the heart of St John’s Wood. Combining amazing food, great wine with friendly service, The Duke of York is a must see for anyone visiting the area.
Enjoy a candlelit meal, a dinner party in our private dining area or simply socialise with friends in the informal atmosphere of our bar.
Spend cold Winter evenings in the cosy warmth of the fire and hot summer days relaxing outside watching the world go by. The Duke of York is also a great place to come after seeing the cricket at Lord’s!
We have enjoyed lunch here on several occasions. Good, reasonably priced selection of food and drink in a pleasant atmosphere with good service. We enjoy it after a walk in Regent's Park.
A favorite Wednesday night restaurant!
Love this pub and come here often. Food is great, especially their steaks on Wednesday 'steak day'. The service is fab and you feel they really care.
Service was amazing!
Always a consistent good experience, staff is very friendly and attentive, fast service. On a Sunday evening a bit packed and the room is a bit small for a lot of people to talk at the same time, so at the end lots of people start almost talking very loud / screaming over each other.
We had a great lunch at the Duke of York. We let the team know in advance that it was a birthday lunch and they very sweetly put balloons up for us to make it extra special. The food was also delicious - big portions and very tasty. Would definitely recommend Duke of York.
Nice Atmosphere... Great Service... was a tad disappointed in the Wagu Burger the two of us ordered. Too dry and the bun used would have been more suited to a pasta dish then a high end beef burger. Perhaps a brioche bun or similar would be a better choice. Probably should have told the staff at the time ... but I didn’t. That being said I will go back and try again. Service was excellent!
The atmosphere is just perfect - the best pub in the neighborhood!
Great sunday roast
As always, excellent service a real feature..
Consistently great food, service and staff. Your our go-to for eats and a drink or two on a Sunday night, see you next time!
Myself and my parents.. plus my 6month old. Had a lovely lunch Tuesday afternoon. The food was great and the staff were excellent. It was a perfect afternoon for us.
Great vibe and ambiance on a Sunday afternoon. Enzo went above and beyond. Despite obviously being really busy he made the time to see if we were ok and if we were happy with everything. He really made our experience a great one by doing the simple touches. One of the nicest roast dinners I have had in a long while. We will be back again soon.
very good service; one of the few pubs who will take your order at the table and not at the bar.
great food, great service!
This was my second visit. We enjoyed it in every way and will certainly visit again.
Lovely pub that is close enough to Lords Cricket Ground
Thank you for being so accommodating for our party of 7! We had a great time!
Good atmosphere. Excellent service. Average food- Sunday roast with lots of good meat but indifferent veg and Yorkshire pudding.
Our second visit to the Duke, but not our last. Quality burgers I (I had Bison) among other things. Good to eat at a non chain establishment.
The service and food are consistently good; we often take visiting family for Sunday roast. I have coeliac so I can’t have gluten but the wait staff is always quick to run downstairs to ask the kitchen what I am able to order. My only request would be to have a gluten free gravy for the roast as some of the other pubs in the area have. All in all a great place at a convenient location!
Relaxed atmosphere and super friendly staff
