About Duke of York St Johns Wood
Eastablished in 1826, this landmark pub is located in the heart of St John’s Wood. Combining amazing food, great wine with friendly service, The Duke of York is a must see for anyone visiting the area.
Enjoy a candlelit meal, a dinner party in our private dining area or simply socialise with friends in the informal atmosphere of our bar.
Spend cold Winter evenings in the cosy warmth of the fire and hot summer days relaxing outside watching the world go by. The Duke of York is also a great place to come after seeing the cricket at Lord’s!
Myself and my parents.. plus my 6month old. Had a lovely lunch Tuesday afternoon. The food was great and the staff were excellent. It was a perfect afternoon for us.
Great vibe and ambiance on a Sunday afternoon. Enzo went above and beyond. Despite obviously being really busy he made the time to see if we were ok and if we were happy with everything. He really made our experience a great one by doing the simple touches. One of the nicest roast dinners I have had in a long while. We will be back again soon.
very good service; one of the few pubs who will take your order at the table and not at the bar.
great food, great service!
This was my second visit. We enjoyed it in every way and will certainly visit again.
Lovely pub that is close enough to Lords Cricket Ground
Thank you for being so accommodating for our party of 7! We had a great time!
Good atmosphere. Excellent service. Average food- Sunday roast with lots of good meat but indifferent veg and Yorkshire pudding.
Our second visit to the Duke, but not our last. Quality burgers I (I had Bison) among other things. Good to eat at a non chain establishment.
The service and food are consistently good; we often take visiting family for Sunday roast. I have coeliac so I can’t have gluten but the wait staff is always quick to run downstairs to ask the kitchen what I am able to order. My only request would be to have a gluten free gravy for the roast as some of the other pubs in the area have. All in all a great place at a convenient location!
Relaxed atmosphere and super friendly staff
The Duke is simply the best!
Great roast dinner and lovely pudding great day
A really good London pub great food great atmosphere.
Good job done by kitchen and staff to cope with pressure of a very crowded during the Test matcm
Great service, friendly staff, good food even if we have to bring our own Bearnaise. A regular haunt for us when in St John's Wood.
Excellent meal, good service and lively atmosphere.
Visited on a cricket day so it was heaving but we were seated instantly as we had booked and served with usual brisk and friendly efficiency. Good pub food and largely empty plates, apart from lamb pie which was delicious but simply too much for one of our party. On a recent previous occasion I had sea bass salad which was outstanding. Hardworking and tireless team always look after us- a go to place in the area. Thank you again.
Everyone was friendly, organised and helpful. Our two visits (for lunch) recently were relaxed & enjoyable and the service was excellent. So a great experience all-round, even though the pub was packed, as you would expect from a rained-off day at Lord's.
We enjoyed a very pleasant meal on Sunday evening with excellent and caring service along with a genuinely friendly atmosphere . I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did ours
Delicious food Very good service
