Great service as usual food excellent
Whilst food was great. Found staff more attentive to loud/overbearing table situated near us..they had no cause to complain or grumble yet staff put their voices above everyone else you was situated out on the terrace at same time
Beautiful setting. Excellent service. Delicious meal both evenings. 5 star all round.
Lovely staff and very good service
Lovely setting with great service
Very friendly staff, doing a great job in difficult circumstances
Food was lovely and the only thing missing was a glass of wine 😟 but during these Covid times we have to do what we can.
Service was excellent and felt safe and relaxed
Vegiterian Shepard’s pie was not really edible.
Really nice meal and great service. Very attentive!
A most enjoyable evening
We ate in Zephyrs, the Sports bar. We requested this because we wanted to watch the football match that was on...Neil, the manager, made this possible and made us feel very welcome.
Our reservation for kittocks den was in the bar as we were offered the lunch menu which was extended to 9pm not what we expected.
Seated next to stairs and lift , so fortunately manage to move . Slow service , asked x3 for food order. Waited along time and both burgers were pretty poor . Disappointed !
We were not expecting haute cuisine, but the chicken that we had was quite average and lacked any distinctive flavour. Given that it was meant to be southern fried chicken, I expected more spice. I have to say that I do not think it represented value for money. I expect more from a hotel of this standard. I can not fault the staff, service was good and with a smile. Though subject of the COVID rules, the lack of background music left the atmosphere quite flat.
Steak was overcooked but other than that it was a lovely night
Restaurant was freezing cold menu was limited as large parts of menu was not available also still awaiting hotel deposit to be refund to my account
Waiting staff particularly good.
the waitress was really nice - very young - knew little about the food, and in my estimation simply should not be serving in a restaurant of this quality
Excellent meal served by highly attentive staff in a wonderful location and stunning view.
I was very disappointed in the quality of food. The prawn cocktail was the worst I have ever had. Sauce tasteless, pile of lettuce and I actually left prawns which is unlike me, very bland and not what I’d expect from reputable seafood restaurant. Service was good however the chef has really let you down. Unfortunately, I would not be able to recommend, which is such a shame due to the beautiful location and produce available to the chef, one thing no one should ever get wrong is a prawn cocktail
Lovely restaurant, friendly staff & beautiful food.
Lovely food, great service and a nice menu choice! Will definitely be returning soon.
Service would have been a 5. From the moment we arrived to be greeted at the entrance by the concierge. It was fantastic. Reception was fabulous. All waiters and waitresses were outstanding. Maids and any staff we met going between rooms were all very pleasant. Greeted in breakfast by a lovely lady. Then there was the lady on the eggs/ omelette counter. Not so good. Not sure if she was understaffed or just having a bad day but she defo was not very pleasant. It was quite an uncomfortable atmosphere waiting on our poached eggs being made. It would have been 5's all round if had chosen not to have eggs. When we received the eggs, we ask for soft but hey were so undercooked we couldn't eat them. Defo was not asking for other eggs. I think that would have tipped her over the edge. Sorry for the negative review at the end but thought I had to say since all other staff were fantastic.
We were booked at the hotel and have to say didn’t have the best experience. We waited 1hr 30 for our main courses. My husbands steak was not of £45 quality. I had to ask for my drink 3 times, 2 courses we ordered weren’t available. For a bill of £174 to be honest it was no where near what I would have expected of this calibre or Hotel. We have stayed at the old course on a few occasions and must say following the experience at the fair not we won’t be returning.
