About Stanbrook Abbey Hotel
From heritage dining rooms to stylish lounges and a contemporary bar, there is always something to discover at Stanbrook Abbey in Worcester. Our newly refurbished restaurant, The Refectory, is a restoration of the nun’s original dining room and now serves a relaxed menu of modern British food, inspired by the season.
With an altogether more contemporary feel, the light bright and airy George’s Bar serves tasty bar food and an extensive drinks menu, from morning until night.
For that special occasion, our plethora of private dining rooms offer a variety of memorable settings for your birthday celebration, anniversary or business event, and those looking for a touch of indulgence can settle in to enjoy the time-honoured tradition of afternoon tea.
What an amazing afternoon tea at an amazing venue. To our waitress Claire we cannot praise you highly enough for everything. You made us feel so welcome and valued in every aspect of our fantastic afternoon and made it so special not only with your tentativeness but also your insight and guide into viewing Stanbrook Abbey. Thankyou to you Claire. We will definitely be back very very soon.
Can't fault Stanbrook, my partner and I always enjoy visiting this hotel.
Sat opposite the double open doors when there was a wedding fair on, so people were walking past staring in was the only downside.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience of the Afternoon Tea at Stanbrook Abbey Hotel and we believe it to be one of the best we've ever had ! From the moment we walked in to be greeted and hosted by Clare ( who we must say was outstanding from start to finish ) the room, comfort and not least the food was excellent ! A very memorable Afternoon- Thank You
This was our 3rd visit to the Stanbrook Abbey for afternoon tea. It is our most favourite place, the staff are friendly and very efficient, the food is really good quality and the new tea room is really lovely and relaxing. We were celebrating my birthday and it was the perfect setting in which to celebrate it. We hope it won't be too long before we return x
Service was superb - the newly refurbished dining room was amazing
Had a wonderful afternoon tea visit, The atmosphere, food, and service were second to none. We must mention the exceptional service from Claire. She was simply FANTASTIC. She made the whole day very special. Will certainly be returning again. Ian & Barbara Hayward.
We had afternoon tea which was delicious. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. Added to that was the superb service we received from Claire. Will definitely be returning.
Wonderful Champagne and Food for my sister’s Birthday Tea. Great friendly service.
Your staff made our day extra special. We took our daughter for afternoon tea for her 40th birthday and our young grandson came too. We were made to feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble.
A rare outing for my husband and I...I booked Afternoon Tea as a Christmas treat & a couple of hours to unwind from the teenagers in the house. We had excellent, warm & friendly service from Clare & food as always was outstanding! Would highly recommend 🍾🥂🎁
Stanbrook Abbey achieves a unique balance - its ability to make you feel as though you are in someone's home whilst being in a huge abbey is quite remarkable. Every detail has been thought of - from the fragranced hand towels to the personalised, handmade birthday truffles. A special and unforgettable experience
Stanbrook Abbey is set in the most glorious countryside, the view is breathtaking when you drive up to the Abbey especially at Christmas all life up. It looks so magical. We’ve attended a Christmas party, stayed a night and the room was clean, luxurious and comfy. The breakfast was cooked fresh for us. We’ve had Sunday roast which was amazing all fresh veg and succulent meat. Oh and we’ve had afternoon tea, this is fine dining at its best, the finger sandwiches were tasty with lots of filling. The cakes and scones with cream and jam were to die for. Would we go back.... absolutely and I’d highly recommend everyone to go to Stanbrook Abbey
Wonderful place to stay and have Afternoon Tea.
Fantastic afternoon tea in a great ambient setting with outstanding service. Thank you
Delightful afternoon. Food excellent, good selection of teas.
Service on this occasion poor
An excellent experience, made extra special by Clare, who took the time to explain everything on our afternoon tea and then presented my husband with a birthday plate when I mentioned it was a birthday treat - thank you for making our celebration wonderful.
We booked our Christmas lunch on recommendation. We picked up a friend from Broughton Hackett after travelling from Leamington spa. We expected a fabulously decorated hotel and were quite disappointed. The service was relatively ok although the drinks order was very mixed up(language barrier possibly). The soup was luke warm, but the bread was very nice!!! The turkey meal was very disappointing, no cranberries, or cranberry sauce no stuffing or bread sauce, some things you would expect from a refurbished restaurant trying to make a name for itself especially at this time of year. The vegetables were inedible, so hard the knife wouldn't cut through the broccoli. Very sorry about voicing our opinion in this negative way, we did complain about the vegetables while we were there, but it was supposed to be a meeting and lunch to cheer up our dear friend who had recently lost her husband. A bit of an embarrassing meal and it is doubtful we would return. Very sad!
A fantastic afternoon tea served in a cosy little room with only two other tables. Food was delicious and service was impeccable. A lovely Christmas treat.
Excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable staff
We had Claire serve us our afternoon tea. She was great. Very friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble. Looked like she was happy in her work. Food was fab nothing rushed great knowledge of the hotel and history.
This was a bogof offer from Hand picked hotels so excellent value
First time here and overall a good experience. The staff could have been more attentive, it was fairly quiet when we were there. The treacle tart was probably the worst desert I have ever had the misfortune to try. Dry, tasteless, badly presented and looked like it came from Iceland! The rest of the food was very good.
Stunning surroundings and attentive staff made for an enjoyable experience. Ample and tasty food with a glass of champagne rounded off a excellent Afternoon Tea. Highly recommended.
