Service was friendly and efficient. The online reservation worked fine. The breakfast food was interesting and tasty. My only suggestion for improvement is a fuller plate for 'The House' breakfast. My hunch is that people opting for 'The House' are expecting something more substantial. For example, one small sausage didn't really cut it. I'd definitely go back - but I'd eat something beforehand if I was hungry.
The food was stunning, the staff are helpful and knowledgeable and the views are beautiful. I've eaten here twice so far and 'll definitely be back.
we have been several times over the last t few years and have always been very impressed. However, our last visit was not up to the usual high standard. Having to order st the bar whilst seated inside was not ideal, the guy taking the order lacked confidence and made taking the orders a lot of effort. Our order was wrong but this was not a problem accept the waitress seemed to imply it was our fault, we were a table of vegetarians and a meat breakfast was served. The food was tasty and portion were good but not up to past high standards.; poached eggs hard, no butter for toast and tomatoes should have been halved. We will return as this was probs just s one off, at least I hope so. Also where has the shacshuka gone! Xxx
First time at Spoke and Stringer. The brunch was really tasty, was happy that my steak was cooked med-rare without having to ask. £3 for smashed avocado seems a bit steep. The staff were very accommodating for my friend who arrived with a pram and his 3 months old baby. They let us move to a new table so we could all fit more easily. I look forward to going back to try the lunch menu.
I thought the food was lovely, albeit on the pricey side for a brunch. Also, despite having a children’s menu and baby changing facilities, you do not provide high chairs. Why is this? We brought our children and found it extremely challenging trying to eat brunch whilst taking turns to balance our youngest on our lap. I have never experienced this anywhere else in Bristol before! Either you welcome children or you don’t? For these two reasons I would hesitate before recommending you, which is a shame because the food was delicious and it is such a lovely setting for brunch.
Really don’t get why the Waitress couldn’t take orders from our table outside. We would ordered extra drinks at least if we didn’t have to take the order ourselves.
We had a fabulous night and would definitely recommend spoke and stringer for private hire - great venue with lovely service.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Really attentive and helpful with regards to nut allergy of one of our party. Thanks for a fabulous evening.
All good. Many thanks!
Brilliant Staff, and food - I love coming here.
Very good house breakfast. Shame the waiter basically threw us out as soon as our plates had been taken away. I personally found this to be very rude.
Really lovely place. Great location and great food. Staff are brilliant.
Lovely location... we enjoyed eating in the sunshine by the water. The food was really delicious. Would have liked to see a vegan option for breakfast.
Food tastes fantastic and it's a lovely atmosphere. Mostly value for money for the quality of food. However £5 for the Kids menu for a single piece of toast and a little pot of baked beans was a bit steep!
I booked a lunchtime table for my dads birthday at 1.30 on a Sunday and you literally had no food left so hard to give any other rating.
Delicious food with lovely staff
Wonderful setting, friendly welcoming staff, concise but good menu, food superb and the best Malbec I have had in ages. Looking forward to our next visit already!
We returned after finding this little gem last year and weren’t disappointed. Fabulous food, fabulous staff and great to enjoy the atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended!
Always love coming
Always top notch on food and service!
Excellent service, delicious food, lovely location and setting.
I can’t fault this place. They were accommodating with changes to the numbers and nothing was a problem. We went for a Sunday roast and they have some great options for meat eaters and vegetarians. I’m lactose intolerant which often causes problems for somerestaurants. Not here though! Thanks for having us!! Would definitely recommend - we all had a fab time.
Everything was perfect. The food, the drinks, the service and the atmosphere :)
We were visiting Bristol for the weekend and wanted somewhere relaxed and tucked away with some great food. This place has all of that and more, the food and coffee was delicious and the service friendly. It has a beautiful view onto the quay as well, nice to spend a relaxing morning/lunch.
