Fab service and even better food!!
Making the reservation online was easy. The staff were attentive and friendly from the minute we walked in and the food was hot and of fantastic quality.
Over priced, under performed! We arrived 12 minutes late to our reservation... I did try to call the restaurant twice beforehand to let them know but there was no answer. When we arrived we were greeted with “you will know have to wait 20mins for a table”... no hello, no please sit at the bar whilst we sort your table, nothing! Awful, I wish we had just left then!! When we actually got seated, we were on the smallest, shabbiest table and the back of the restaurant, against the back door and a wall - not what you expect when you book in advance! The restaurant was extremely busy, however this should not compromise service. Every time we wanted a drink, we had to ask (even when our glasses were empty) and when we were ready to order (after waiting awhile) we had to ask for something to take our food order! The food was good, but at £20 per main course - so it should be! The only snag regarding the food was that I found a bone in my pork belly - unexpected?! We were them told when we asked for the bill, that we had to go up to the counter?! Service and quality should not slip when the restaurant is busy... if you can’t handle a busy restaurant then don’t over book the tables. We definitely won’t be returning.
10/10! Food was great and good portion sizes!
fantastic place, fantastic meal
it was my first time at spago with my girlfriend and we had a great time, the food was excellent. the service was great.... my girlfriend even got chatted up the chatty old chap at the bar.
Always consistently excellent food, it maybe slightly the higher end for price around Lytham but the old cliche is "You get what you pay for" and in Spago it is exactly that, very well worth the extra cost.Secondly there was a very slight misunderstanding one evening(Not with the food) and the owner rang me personally to explain, which I thought was very good customer skills and appreciated.Keep up the good work Spago, always the leader , never the follower.
Great food & lovely staff
Wine a little overpriced food and sevice exellent
Amazing tapas, very helpful and attentive waitor. Definitely be back soon!, thankyou x
Enjoyed it all very much.
We came in early 6pm so it was quiet. Waiter was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. Food was chosen from the Market menu, which was very good and a good price.
Enjoyed the Sunday Roast both of which were perfect and delicious desserts a bottle of wine and a lovely drop of port to finish.
Great food as always and impeccable service. Thank you x
First visit, family of 5. Food quality was spot on,good value for money.
Took advantage of the Thursday offer on the Market menu, food amazing, attentive service and nice atmosphere as usual
This evening the service was atroshous. Waiting over 1 hr 20 mins for main course which was hardly warm and not even an apology. As a regular diner at the Knowles Atms we have decided to find an alternative venue. Not at any point during the evening were we asked if everything was Ok. Very poor and disappointing
Had a great night at Spago entertaining some key partners of Danbro. Great food, attentive service - the whole package! Well done.
Great night. Great staff. Sunday deal is spot on.
Excellent food n service
Beautiful roast dinner the best have had in a long time, great value for money and the service was fantastic ! Lovely dining experience we were made very welcome with the children too
What a fantastic Sunday with the family. Personable service ensuring my little noise makers had everything they needed, it makes such a difference. Couldn’t have done more for us, fantastic waiter! Well done Spargo!
Starter (crostini) was too thick, not enough olive oil and not toasted enough! VFM - went for 2 courses for £10 and walked out with £65 bill! Accepted that’s alcohol but says a lot about the money made on wine!! We like Spago but cost is high for a mid week bite to eat!
A diner who we got speaking to told us if we ever went out on Friday to go to Spago where you would receive 20% off, so as we were going away on the Sunday we phoned and booked Fri. Our bill on Friday was £183 but guess what we didnt receive the discount, apparently this is for online bookers only !!! When we made the phone reservation would it not be ethical to be told, book online and you will get the discount instead of telling you when you get the bill, we have booked for Valentines night but will have to consider strongly whether to make any further reservations.
Food was lovely as always! We are regular visitors.
