Excellent service by Atharva he looked after us for lunch on Sunday and Monday thanks for the lovely experience and great food. Cannot wait to return my favourite place to dine for lunch.
Just had an absolutely wonderful time at the Sofitel today. The My Fair Lady themed High Tea was perfect. Thank you Sofitel for taking on board past criticisms and showing your patrons that you do really care about them. You couldn't have done it better, thank you!!
Service was well below par for a Sofitel. No one met or attended to our party on arrival - all staff were dealing with a query from another guest. We weren't seated until we ourselves approached the bar. Having been seated, no one came to take our order for another 15 minutes - we had to call over a staff member who was assiduously clearing tables instead. Once taken there were errors in the order - twice. Same thing repeated with paying the bill - having obtained it, no one approached us so we had to go to the till and stand around to pay it. Hotel level food, cafe level service. Disappointing particularly for the very high price.
Waitstaff very friendly but can be more attentive and ask if we need anything. Sugar and milk was not included as part of high tea, had to ask waitstaff and spoon as well. Would also be nice if waitstaff could refill our teapot with hot water to keep our tea warm.
always a great place for lunch, tasty food, great service and lovely atmosphere.
food and ambience was excellent
After experiencing the High Tea & Archibald's last year it was a 'must do' for 2017 sadly the food was quite a let down. It was very sweet top heavy and the savory options were small and disappointing. I don't think we will bother next year.
Great high tea and service.
The Archibald inspired high tea was lovely and a perfect prequel to the exhibition itself!
Unfortunately the service let you down badly. We spend a lot of time trying to get the attention of wait staff - there were plenty there but not really focussed on the patrons. The cafe was NOT busy. We had our champagne order taken twice by two different staff and still not delivered in a timely manner. We had to ask for our food after a considerable wait to be told that it was being prepared. The little cucumber sandwich was stale and the dark scone was too dry. The coulis was also left off our afternoon tea. I requested my tea with the food but it came prior. All in all disappointing compared to your normal standard!
It was a great high tea...just concerned I couldn't get 10% discount as quoted because I had wrong member card
Service is always excellent. Always cosy and feels like home.
Delicious food, beautiful presentation, super service - all extremely pleasant perhaps a fruit option as there were too many sweet options & that's saying something for a sweet tooth!
service was very, very poor. Tea was cold and so was food.
Everything was great at the Archibald High Tea my mum and I attended. I will definitely keep an eye out for more events in the future. Loved the gorgeous tea cups and the art theme.
The Archibald high tea was delicious!
Hi there, my friends and I loved our Archibald high tea, although I've checked the advertising material http://www.sofitelsydney.com.au/archibald and we were not able to "paint our own macarons" which is what I had promised my friends. Still a beautifully presented feast, but it was false advertising which is still on the website. Kind regards, Jane
My friends and I like the Archibald High Tea, it's a great way to enjoy the art and share a meal with friends.
Ha a wonderful time at the Sofitel on Saturday. The food was beautiful and filling and I have recommended the high tea to my friends! Wonderful idea!
very enjoyable, it was a shame all 3 of us had a very hard croissant. Carolyn
I attended the Beauty & Beast Disney high tea with my 8 yr old niece. However I was not advised when booking that the Disney themed items had been removed. We went to see Belle's library & the rose so it was didsapointing to pay the same price without the Disney element. The food was also fancy for kids, the kids side had a tuna sandwich & ham & tomato (many kids don't eat fish or tomato ) & the same desert as adults. The only thing my niece wanted to eat were the macaroons that felt hard as a rock. The food was not as tasty as I would of expected & was disappointing that the food looked to fancy & foreign to my niece. It really ruined the bonding experience when I was the only one eating the food. Lowering the price & having more sandwiches could really be beneficial. If appealing to kids I.e. For your your next frozen high tea, you could really enhance the experience by simplifying the food choices & flavors.
The service is impeccable. Jarod Senior went beyond his call of duty to deliver my guest's demands. Soiree's staff are always professional and very attentive. This compensates the inconsistent quality of meals. Thank you Jarod, and your staff for your amazing service to my 16 guests.
The high tea display was very appealing to the eye, but very disappointing when it came to eating it. The pastries were loaded with sugar, but didn't taste of anything else. Even the mini chocolate tarte was bland and over sweet for dark chocolate
