About Sofitel Pool
Went for a Staycation with my Mrs at the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa. It was a much needed vacation after not traveling for a year. Being a frontline doctor can be quite tiring . Coming to your hotel just made me unwind and relax. Thank you for your wonderful service. Hope to return for another staycation at your hotel one day.
The swimming pool is in need of a deep clean. The floor of the pool is really badly stained. The water is also really dirty, I'm afraid.
The pool is not children friendly. The steps had tiny pebbles.
The pool was quite dirty in the sense that there was a lot of white sediment, some big pieces of it. It was like something had peeled off. Quite disturbing actually. Watermelon juice at $10++ is not good value for money
The pool is absolutely filthy. The tiles are all caked with efflorescence and gunk, are mismatched, and the water and is full of sediments and hair and floating bits. The overflow edges are all grimy and the poolside furniture though comfortable, are stained and all terribly marked. We took underwater videos of our kids with our GoPro, and are embarrassed to share with the grandparents.
So the pool was closed every time it rained. But no one is allowed to sit around it. Why can’t we sit around the pool when it’s raining? Both the days we stayed at the resort we couldn’t use it! It’s ridiculous and such a waste of money. You guys should keep a shaded area around the pool where people can at least enjoy a drink if they can’t swim in it!
Excellent ambience , service, food and stay. Pool can be better - too much chlorine and salty water.
Overall a good hotel to eat and relax
The hotel should not mix dining reservation and pool reservation. Even though i made pool reservation, the employee can’t find my reservation and let me in into the pool. I thought the purpose of reservation to avoid crowd at pool?
Loved the whole layout and design of the pool. Plenty of lounge chairs and daybeds to rest in. With the booking system, the pool had just the right amount of people which made the experience all the more pleasant. Child friendly with attentive lifeguard. Overall a wonderful experience and looking forward to go back!
Do not have the chance to use the pool
Was told at check in to make reservation for a pool slot online but found out at the pool check in that Online reservation was not required. Other guests before me in the queue was let in without a online reservation and I was not asked for mine. While the poolside is nicely decorated, the pool itself was poorly maintained and discolored. The black pool tiles are discoloured and powdery, and bottom of the pool was sandy and covered with sediment and leaves.
Great ambience if you don't mind being stuck on an island.
Liked the sauces that came along with the cheeses sticks and calamari rings especially.
The pool was a good size and length, staff at the pool were also friendly and warm, except the lifeguard on duty whom I felt could use a better tone in communicating his concerns. The pool also looked old and in need of maintenance.
Large/spacious swimming pool with life guard, recommended.
Honestly, this was the worst staycaytion experience. 1. Waited 32 minutes to check in / 25 mins to check out 2. Bed filled with bugs 3. Called and waited over 11 mins and 13 mins respectively for front of house to answer the phone 4. Spider webs in the room 5. No remote control 6. Terrible food 7. Overcharged on bill, despite having a package 8. Extended onboarding process (other hotels were seamless and easier to book the pool/gym/pampering etc) 9. A lack of willingness to engage/alleviate issues 10. Dirty restaurant seats 11. Lipstick marks on tumblers requested 12. $5 for a bucket of ice...?! 13. The balcony did not meet expectations (very dirty, with cigarette butts, withered leaves/plants, bird feces and dirt (not cleaned). (I have taken photographic evidence of the entire weekend and the aforementioned issues). We had a group booking for December which we have subsequently cancelled and have advised friends that unless the service improves, this is a waste of money. The French gentleman (front of house) and the small token of acknowledgement for our mini-moon (cake, balloons and towels) were the closest things to expectations across the entire long weekend.
It was so difficult to book the pool in the morning and look like not many people using. I wonder why the booking is full. Other than that we enjoyed the atmosphere and service as always.
No issue with the pool slot reservation and access. Number of people is also well controlled.
I thought the pool was good. But would be if they had a bit of flexibility with entry. Ie if not many people are at the pool, allow walk in etc. thanks
We stayed at Sofitel for 10 days and and can say that our experience at the pool was the most relaxed with no friction whatsoever. The diligent staff took time to assist with all our needs, whether it be food, drink, shade from the sun or weather predictions. We’ve also never seen a lifeguard so attentive to the goings on in the pool. We particularly, commend Sara, Toni and Zach for their hard work and attention to detail which made our every visit to the pool thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you so much guys. Drinks too expensive
Hi I had booked this pool package and I must say that it was the most disappointing experience I have had in Singapore. I am a silver Accor member and really like your other properties but everything from food to staff to changing rooms were terrible. The food was horrible - we ordered the club sandwich and margarita pizza. Both were undercooked and terribly made. Tasted bad. We left most of our food. The mojitos were sweet!! There were cockroaches in the changing rooms and the pool was really short staffed I understand it’s been a difficult time for the hotels and one of the reasons I decided on Sofitel over say Tanjong Beach club was to support the hotel, but it was totally not worth the $230 I spent there yesterday.
Everything was perfect!
Very slow service at the pool area. No one was actively picking up drink orders. Food quality very ordinary, they served me a different meal to what I ordered. I stayed at many 5 star hotels, and this was definitely not 5 star.
