First time with you.... Server was more concerned with her clipboard than us... Visibly showed annoyance that we were sitting at a table.... We waited for nearly an hour before getting a cup of tea! I didn't need to hear from another server A) that your understaffed B) He prepared the afternoon tea.... It wound be good if server's came to check on us during our time there. Rated #1 in Melbourne.... Not for us....
Amazing experience !!
I would have liked a bit more of a christmas atmosphere seeing as we are in December
We thought that there would have been more savoury foods, the tea was cold and for the money we thought there would have been more variety.
Food was good but would have preferred less sweets and more savories. The top plate of cake were to sweet/rich. But still a very pleasant time spent at sofitel.
The food was excellent but there was not enough attention paid. Having to wait over an hour to be asked about having a tea was not service at its best
We had a lovely time and the service was just exceptional! The food was also really good and cheaper than what I had expected which is a bonus. Would definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again when we next go back to Melbourne.
Chrisma should go back to training. Totally unprofessional service experience. Being told to wait in the lobby rather than allowing us to sit in the lounge prior to the high tea service and then being chased down the escalator when we went for a cigarette to be told we're not allowed to leave. Really disappointed. Not 5 star service at all.
Service was not great, not attentive enough had to ask for coffee/tea and when delivered the hot tea was passed over guests which is dangerous. Also booked for flowing sparkling this was offered, we did not get charged for this which was also incorrect as I booked it.
I had lovely servers and the food was well presented and delicious. I especially liked the blackberry jam.
Sofi’s is in need of face lift. Food and service is very nice.
Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. I was supper impressed with the service from the table staff.
The service was outstanding. As was the food and wine. Thank you for making my mum’s birthday special 😊
We had fun ... thanks to the team ....keep playing piano man🤙
Something different to celebrate a special occasion, all ages and we all had a blast. Staff amazing, guy on the piano amazing, food amazing and beautiful surrounds!
I was here with my husband in October and commented on the crepes. Once again, here they are! Crepes are fine, thin sheets of deliciousness. The ones presented at Sofia are rolled into a tight , thick mass. Bring back the French crepes! These rolls are not pleasant and surely you are noticing that they aren’t being eaten.
I found the service quite slow. The desserts and sandwiches were good however the flavors of the hot food needed to be more traditional. They did cater for middle eastern tastes, but my observation was that mainly caucasians were attending that afternoon..
We found the service excellent and they were very accomodating as we arrived early. Sweeney was responsible for our table and she was friendly, efficient and attentive,. The quality and variety of the food was disappointing. Whilst plentiful the quality of food on offer was disappointing.
I wasn’t really tempted with the hot savoury table at this visit on Saturday
This was a present for a birthday, the staff were unsure of what they needed to be doing and were not talking to each other. Concept of monocromatic interesting although for an indulgent high tea it was sparse.
Thank you, we had a most enjoyable monochromatic high tea. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive.
Monochromatic high tea was superb such a great take on a high tea. Food was deliciousl and looked irresistible. Such finess and full of flavour, outstanding presentation in a beautiful setting. Great Selection of teas and staff very efficient. Highly Recommend, a big thank you to Eric who was exceptional and a delight to talk too.
We attended the monochrome high tea. Well presented. Only comment is that there needs to be more savoury options available instead of just finger sandwiches. There was too much sweet/dessert items and we just didn't finish them as it was too much.
