A hot savoury item would be great
We had a reservation for afternoon tea and had checked the menu on the website - unfortunately it was not on offer after checking with multiple waitstaff, a poor substitute was in its place, and we were told that traditional afternoon tea was only served on weekends - again not what the website indicated. Disappointing for what was supposed to be a special occasion, so we left without ordering.
Service was first class. This was my fifth time to the high tea. It was still great but on past experiences I’m sure we had more food. There are heaps of desserts but lacking in pastries . There were only 4 or 5 to choose from . I’m sure in the past there was a chef who was there making sushi . Or differently sushi was on the menu. I think you need more pastries and maybe one more sandwich with chicken selection. Not even chicken sandwiches . Which was strange . Over all very good . !
Having lost my voucher on the way there, the staff went out of their way to admit me and my husband - and we both enjoyed it very much.
Unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. Service was slow took like 15 min or so before someone came to ask what drinks we would like and offer us the sparking wine. Then we had to ask if we could order tea or coffee after waiting another 10 or 15 min then another 10 or 15 min before coffee and tea were served. Too slow for high tea especially for a short sitting of 2 hours.. Food was also so so, selection is limited and food at hot section had run out for quite a while before it was refilled. On a positive note, the venue and ambience is nice. Overall sorry to say but a disappointing experience.
Sandwiches in the high tea were stale, however tasty. The balance wasn’t right between savory options and sweet. There was far more sweet options but as we were hungry we ate them and ended up feeling quiet sick for the rest of the day.
Not enough staff rostered on to serve customers in a relaxed 5 srar manner. They looked under pressure and it took ages to be served tea and coffee. Sandwiches were lovely. Savoury food items were liuke warm and dry. Not very appetizing unfortunately. The scones jam and cream were ordinary. Pianist added atmosphere to the Sunday afternoon high tea. Sweet and tiny desserts selection was lovely. This high tea was not value for money.
1. The Menu mentions 2.30pm-5pm is the HIGH TEA time, but then we receive a rude note on the appointment confirmation e-mail that goes-"WE NEED YOUR TABLE BACK BY 4.30 PM" Not that I am cringing about the 30 minutes, probably we may even leave sooner BUT it should be our choice if we want to leave early, you CANNOT list different timings on Menu for selling and then once people book, change the time as you please. 2. No food available from 4.30 pm (again relates to point 1) - Please CHANGE your times on the MENU 3. Desserts & Tea were quite great 4. Very limited savoury options whilst there were many dessert options
Great atmosphere. Sofi’s was perfect for a friends catch up
It was a special anniversary which we shared with our family, including grandchildren, and the staff were very friendly and professional to all of us. We had a very enjoyable day. Great staff, food and bubbly ... thanks.
We thoroughly enjoyed our High Tea at Sofi's Lounge at the Sofitel. The setting, service and food & beverage provided were first class. The birthday plate with a candle and the singing of "Happy Birthday" was an added bonus and a nice personal touch. The pianist did an excellent job providing very relaxing background music whilst we enjoyed our afternoon tea. Overall, a truly enjoyable experience and we can't wait to return one day soon!
Poor selection of warm food (none of which was very warm or tasty) like warmed up frozen food.. the only cold savoury dishes were sandwiches. Cake selection very good, crepes like rubber. We were sat at a table next to piano and serving area so difficult to talk. Have been there midweek and much better value... terribly overpriced for what is on offer on the weekend.. would not go back.
Cosy setting, fabulous food and friendly staff.
I was already expecting something nice because of the Escher theme but Sofi’s Lounge surprised me with delicate tastes and inspired infusions. Being a big coffee buff, I surprised myself feeling so tempted by tea and am glad to say I was not disappointed, at all!
The Monochrome High Tea was an intriguing concept that persuaded me to do high tea for the first time. Such an indulgence! We appreciated the thought and creativity that went into designing the taste experience!
Beautiful venue and service was amazing. I'd like to see more colour in the food, black charcoal scones and other desserts weren't exciting to look at though tasted great. High Tea is all about colourful desserts and sandwiches so did miss that.
Our family afternoon tea was to celebrate 3 birthdays ( all big ones). Our party consisted of adults, children and babies and we all enjoyed the afternoon with fantastic service which was second to none from O Donghyup who was friendly and helpful.
The Escher themed Monochrome HIghTea was just delightful; a sumptious way to spend time with my family on a public holiday. The food was interesting, fresh and delicous and we were able to replenish our tea/coffee several times. The service was friendly, professional and timely. Thank you for a lovely experience!
A High Tea At Sofi’s is the perfect way to celebrate that special someone in your life. The skill and attention to detail taken to create even the most simple of dishes, is reflected in the friendly and welcoming nature of the floor staff (oh, if only some of the other patrons had a similar sense of occasion and dressed accordingly). Buffet dining with style.
Beautiful, relaxed ambience. Could have included some hot food items as part of the high tea experience.
Fantastic. Selection of food was great and the service exceptional.
We had a lovely afternoon at your lounge for afternoon tea.The food was very yummy and had a great variety of savoury and sweet options. The piano playing in the background made the atmosphere trey relaxing and enjoyable. My 3year old daughter loved it too so was perfect for 3 generations to enjoy a lovely day out. :)
Wonderful Birthday celebration for three generations of family members. They presented us a with a special platte rof cakes, each onefoe each of us individuly. Catered very well for Fish allergy for my granddaughter serving special sandwich platter. Can not recommend highly enough
