Located just off the beautiful Norfolk coast line in one of the new Foundry Place properties, independently owned ‘Socius’ creates a memorable food and drink experience in a completely relaxed environment.
Offering locally sourced produce in dishes which change to reflect the seasons, Socius serves small plates – as a modern British take on tapas. Guests are able see the chefs at work and watch the genius of their food preparation and plating as the kitchen is entirely open. For those warmer days, an al fresco south-facing terrace offers summer dining with cocktails and drinking snacks.
Dogs are welcome during the daytime, as are guests just wanting a coffee and a light bite (even those with muddy paws and sandy wellies!) An exciting children’s menu is also available for little ones.
On Sundays, ‘Socius Sunday’ offers a family-style Sunday lunch.
Socius is located adjacent to Burnham Market’s only car park, with parking free of charge after 6pm.
A fabulous Sunday lunchtime spent here when visiting the area, so handy to bring the dog with us, great service, we will definitely go back again
Best Sunday roast in Norfolk! Our boys gave the Barney roast dinner 5 ⭐️ too.
Fabulous food, fabulous service
Socius was just lovely - such an amazing fine dining restaurant in a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere. It was the icing on the cake of our Norfolk holiday. We sat at the kitchen table with a view of the chefs at work which made it even more enjoyable, I would recommend doing this if it's available. In any case, if you have a chance to dine here, definitely do, you won't regret it! Many thanks again Socius!
Friendly staff and excellent food.
We had a lovely meal, thank you. We look forward to seeing you again.
It was honestly some of the best food I have ever tasted. My friends and I ordered a selection of savoury and sweet dishes to share. Each of them full of different flavours and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.
Excellent all across the board
First visit and very impressed. We will be back!
Fantastic food, beautiful presentation and friendly staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. It’s not just a dinner, it’s a dining experience!
We really enjoyed everything about our experience in this lovely restaurant. We will definitely be returning.
Wonderful first time , will definitely be back
Fab. We will certainly return. Very happy.
Read the fabulous reviews before we came and weren’t disappointed. My 16 year old was a bit wary of the menu but raved about the food afterwards. Would definitely return and will recommend to others.
We had the most amazing evening with you. The food flavourings were fantastic and we loved the ‘tapas’ style dining. The atmosphere and service were also exceptional!!!! Quite honestly it is one of the nicest restaurants I’ve been too and I visit a lot 😃! Thank you so much socious. I have also left you a nice review on TripAdvisor.
Excellent meal very different from the normal restaurant. Lots of small plates very interesting menu and all delicious. We will return when we are in the area again .
Excellent. Friendly staff, superb food and an altogether great evening.
Busy vibrant slick....great food, hospitality and value.
Fantastic dining experience. With first class food, backed up excellent service. Would thoroughly recommend a visit when in North Norfolk.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was sensational! A fabulous dining experience.
A perfect way to spend my 50th birthday with friends. Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere with top class service. Five 🌟
First class lunch
Lovely staff and a nice view of the pass. The chefs clearly put great efforts in but overall a very sub par experience because of the Saturday lunch menu itself. Each dish was a confusing and fussy concoction, partially tried but eventually left unfinished by everyone on the table. A shame to use so many great ingredients such as hake or hispi cabbage, and return such strange results - wet and bland. Other dishes (thick battered king prawns, boiled beetroot salad) were sugary, and the cocktails were watery and lacking in substance. The sharing plates format would work better if dishes such as broccoli pureé are reconsidered. The vast combination of flavours and textures made the sharing experience incoherent and tricky to navigate, especially as they mostly arrived one at a time to our large group. We came away confused about what we had each spent £40 something on.
We enjoyed a wonderful 3 course Sunday lunch with excellent, attentive service, a good wine list and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Superb and worth every penny
