About Smoking Goat
The Smoking Goat, on Soho's Denmark Street, describes its offering as wood-ember barbecue with Thai flavours, featuring Cornish meat and fish. Serving lunch, dinner and cocktails til late
Great food and nice prosecco. Will recommend the place when we next have a business dinner event.
My oh My those chilli chicken wings!
Really enjoyed the meal, only comment re atmosphere is because we were the only people there for 40 minutes or so, probably because we went so early in the day
The Smoking Goat is always a winner.
Excellent combination of Thai and bbq flavours. Big bold traditional Thai spicing and full flavoured rich meat. Dishes were somewhat well proportioned and reasonably priced (we ate as a group of 7). Cocktails weren't bad. Come here for something different. Very good night out.
Amazing food and great advice offered on what to choose/ how much for the group. Only very small thing was that service was slightly slow towards the end; we ended up not getting another bottle of wine ;) Thanks for a brilliant birthday! Will definitely be returning.
Love the food. Will definitely come back
Second visit and will be back again. Food is fantastic!
Wonderful food, service, and beer ;-)
Best food in Soho! Fact!
Food at the Smoking Goat never ceases to disappoint, it's hard to pick from the menu because they're all ridiculously delicious. I'd advise going with a group of 4 or so, getting everything and sharing to avoid FOMO. The service was friendly, personal and professional, the staff clearly believe in the food and it shows in their approach. Cocktails are also outstanding. I'll be back next week and every week thereafter! #GOAT
LOVE this place!
This Thai barbeque cuisine is just delicious, and when you combine it with excellent quality meat and fish, and quirky wines, it is a winning combo - highly recommended. Only quibbles are funny tasting water (they soak leaves in it for some reason), and slightly weak and over-iced cocktails. And the wine list veers a bit too much towards the 'natural' for my taste. But go for the food!
Had a great night, food was delicious and the team were really accomodating with a big group booking (12pax).
Some of the flavours were too overpowering for me. Not as good a dining experience as Kiln which I loved. Interesting dishes though.
Amazing food, lovey atmosphere and brilliant staff
Had a great dinner, with amazing food and drinks!
We absolutely loved everything...the food was amazing....especially the goat salad....great atmosphere...we'll definitely be back
Having eaten here many times over the last few years I was truly disappointed with the meal we received. This is not the same brilliant restaurant I have been to. They have changed the chef and the food is way below the standard of previous years. Admittedly I have not eaten there this year (since it got into the times 100) but from a stunning food place to a weak food place is truly disappointing, and that does not even mention the scolding burns my mother and wife received from the scallop shells.
Every dish was a pleasurable surprise and I would certainly recommend the food. However the rooms were very noisy and it was difficult to hear our friends talking - which was our reason for meeting - to catch up! Possibly some soft furnishings would absorb some of the noise? Sort this out and it's 5 stars all round. Great food, but currently I wouldn't recommend for a group night out of you need to hear your friends!
Great food and super friendly efficient service
I had a fantastic evening celebrating my 30th with a group of friends. You exceeded my expectations with your food, service and atmosphere. I can't wait to return!
