Excellent food, brilliant service. Looking forward to returning again for a lovely meal.
Our waiter was fantastic and so enthusiastic even when we (unwittingly) kept asking awkward questions that he had to run to kitchen to get answers for. The food was pretty amazing as well. Definitely be back.
Fab staff , venue & food. Thanks so much xx
Lovely mac and pub!
My go to for Mac n Cheese!
Lovely food & friendly staff
Just love their Mac n Cheese and also the atmosphere in this little gem of a place. Definitely recommend.
I love it here for drinks, however was disappointed with the 'legendary' mac and cheese. It wasn't great and the chips were cold.
The macaroni was amazing and the service was very good.
Great food & service as always
Decent good and drink. Very lively.
Totally disappointed we arrived at the booked time were shown to a table served with our choice of drink ordered our food then waited, half an hour later we were still waiting I had to approach a waitress (as none of them made any comment as to how much longer we would have to wait) she apologised and said she would find out when we could expect our food. Another 15mins later it finally arrived Albeit we were offered a free soft drink. And another voucher ( the voucher given expires on the 3/10/18 and stated must book before the 19/09/18) we were never given an explanation as to why we waited so long. It is accepted that it was busy at that time however people that arrived after us were served before us. The waitress was most apologetic and no blame was attached to her. However I would like to suggest that if and for whatever reason there is a delay that the customer be informed,as it was with us no one approached us until the food was available. Your response would be appreciated
amazing food/service and value for money voucher from itison ... will definatley purchase more
the mac n cheese was very salty and left me feeling queezy for the rest of the day
Had mac cheese with bacon & brie. Bacon was more like cheap ham & Brie was tad rubbery.. And for it being mac cheese they seemed to scrimp on the cheese part. Not usual standard for Sloans.
The only complaint was our table was not ready in time for our booking
Very friendly staff,we were made to feel welcome by everyone we spoke to. We had macaroni which was delicious. We will be back for one of the movie nights we saw advertised.
Great service , fab prices & yummy macaroni
Another enjoyable meal at Sloan’s. Looking forward to returning.
Mac & cheese would have been very nice had it been hot & not Luke warm. Have been to Sloans before, this was my second visit, was more impressed with food first time round.
Excellent mac & cheese, really crispy fries, was a little disappointed that my topping was of chorizo and red onion was very little on top!!
Been going to Sloans for .many years now for legendary Mac n cheese however on this occasion it was bland and tastless....and that just highlighted to horrible cheap skinny fries served with the Mac..........also had probably the poorest pathetic excuse for a cheese board EVER.....really disappointing experience except for our young guy waiter ....cheerful and witb witty Glasgow humour.
I'd booked a table for a large group in the ballroom a few weeks before, however when we arrived it became clear we'd now be seated to the bistro area instead. This was a little disappointing, but even more so was how we were told when greeted by a female member of staff. We'd approached the stairs up to the ballroom area, when in a rude, patronising and almost hostile manner we were told that upstairs was now a private function on this occasion, despite me specifically booking a table there and not being notified of the change. At this point we briefly considered going elsewhere, but soon afterwards another member of staff apologised on behalf of the woman, whilst giving the impression that this wasn't the first time she'd had to do this. Once seated downstairs we were apologised to again from another member of staff, and from then on I couldn't fault the restaurant. Great environment, friendly and helpful staff, good service, varied menu and great food. It's just a shame that one member of staff can bring down the overall quality and experience of an otherwise great restaurant.
