About Slims Pork Chop Express
Taking inspiration from John Carpenters 'Big Trouble in Little China' in both name and decor, Slims Pork Chop Express is an American style BBQ restaurant & smokehouse situated on the very lively and bohemian Seel Street, just a stones throw away from Chinatown itself. Specialising in smoked meats and dishes to share, our in-house smoker takes pride of place in our restaurant whilst our menu also features Asian-inspired dishes such as the Lo Pan banquet as tribute to the 1980’s film classic. Every Friday & Saturday from 10PM we also run our Late Night BBQ Club featuring our hugely popular and unique Crayfish Boil, whilst on Sunday from 12PM we pride ourselves on serving the best Sunday roast the city has to offer. Theres something for everyone here at Slims Pork Chop Express and we hope you enjoy the experience.
Great service fabulous food, early diners so a bit quiet
The best of its kind in Liverpool. Food is absolutely superb and service is always first class .
The staff at Pork Chops were all brilliant. They were friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent too, easily the best roast dinner in Liverpool!
I just wish I could eat everything on the menu!
The food here is incredible
Food was great!
Best Sunday Roast in Town .......
Gutted to find out the lo pan fries/burger were sold out by 8pm on the Saturday but understandable as they’re the best salt & pepper chips in the world so we forgave! Thanks very much for a lovely meal
Roast was spot on no complaints I’d give 5 stars for that alone, drinks tho £3 for a can of Coke... you can’t be serious.
Great food and big portions. The chilli cheese fries and bbq brisket beans are a must!
We travel from Chester to eat here when we can never had a bad meal
Drinks are a little limited and a bit pricy, but the Sunday lunch more than makes up for it.
Love Sunday roast at slim pork chop
Quality of food was excellent, So was the service. However, I was disappointed that 3 of the main menu options were crossed off the menu (No beef short rib, No Smoked chicken salad & no burnt ends, And NO draft beer was available. For 6pm on a Saturday, I would have expected there to be fresh barrels on and a full menu. Overall, disappointing experience, I was looking forward to the dining experience as a keen amature pit master, plus I took my team from work here last year & it was spot on, Next time. I’ll give Reds a try,
Great food, great surroundings. Loved the Lo-Pan fries and burnt ends. Great to see Beavertown Gamma Ray on the drinks menu. I will be back it's all in the reflexes.
Great as always
Beautiful food in a beautiful building with friendly, helpful staff. Love it here. The Lo Pan Fries and the FKC chicken are amazing 😊
Really good food
Food unreal waitress Philippa boss
Came for a Sunday roast and luckily we had pre-booked a table as the restaurant was very busy. Although it was busy we didn't have to wait long for anything, we were sat quite quickly, service was good, fast and the food was very nice. Would recommend it and will be back.
Warm and friendly staff and really good food. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
We arrived at 1:15 on a Sunday me, my partner and my baby who was in a pram. We were then shown to our seat which we had to go up steps but no disabled access for anyone in a wheelchair luckily my partner was with me to help me with my pram. We were greeted by a lovely blonde girl who was the only reason I didn’t get up and leave. We ordered our food at 1:30 and as we were sat there the whole restaurant was freezing to the point I was sat with my coat on whole way through the meal. We ordered way before another table in front of us and there food arrived about 20 minutes after they ordered. It got to 2 o’clock when my baby was due his feed so I had to feed him which I was hoping to get atleast something inside me before his bottle. The waitress then came over after an hour of waiting for our dinner to arrive to say it was being plated up as we speak. Another 10 minutes later the food arrived were the server said they had added a few extra things on for us. By this time I wasn’t hungry anymore and was pretty annoyed with the outcome. The food was lovely but it would of been nicer if I could of eaten it whilst it was still hot! We then asked for our bill which I had by then wanted to leave so I could shop before they all closed. It arrived 15 minutes later and I made my way to the door to pay because I was not impressed having to wait even longer to pay, these things need sorting out as the food was lovely but I wouldn’t reccomend it to people due to the waiting time
This was our second visit to Pork Chop Express. Once again the food was fantastic, staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was great. The only downside to our meal was that on both occasions we have been seated in the small, downstairs area and the passing traffic of arriving diners can be a little distracting. All in all a fantastic eatery!
Great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff
Great little place helpful staff fantastic food and beer
