Lovely afternoon tea !
Lunch with a couple of girl friends in a lovely relaxed atmosphere, food was excellent. We had a lovely waitress and were not rushed. Have booked an afternoon tea for February
We had a lovely anniversary meal for 4 at Skylark on Saturday 30th Dec 2017. The two restaurant staff who looked after our table were both excellent and went well above what we had experienced at a 5* hotel where we had spent our day. The food was great as always and the discount that is made available for members makes this extremely good value for money. Because they were so good I need to mention the two ladies again!
Excellent food and service
Please correct my name to Mrs P Griffiths Excellent Waitress was exceptional Wonderful setting, food, value for money, atmosphere Will definitely return
We took our 3 neices to dinner and they were delighted with dinner. We all had a main course and dessert and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The service was first class.
Great service for the whole time only to be matched by the location and quality of the food.
I booked a table for my family and I to come for Sunday lunch following a recommendation. The food was okay, but we all were left feeling a little under whelmed. The roast potatoes were not great- more boiled and deep fried rather than roasted. The portion, especially the meat (1 and a half slices each) was a bit meagre. We had 2 potatoes each, and a bowl of shared veg. This consisted of boiled broccoli, carrots and peas. There was no cauliflower chees or red cabbage or leeks etc. All in all, it just wasn’t very special. We regularly go out for Sunday lunch, and we did not feel that our meal at Skylark represented good value for money. The Sunday roast at Kings and The Fishers Pind is, in our opinion, far superior. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and the desserts were lovely - it was just a shame that we had to wait over an hour for them. I did send an email to you regarding the above last Monday but did not receive a reply.
Food and drink were both excellent and the service was friendly. The room is very noisy and could do with some soft furnishings to absorb the sound levels. We had a good evening and would return.
Lovely food and exceptional service, staff were very attentive. The afternoon is great value for money.
This is my third steak meal consistent quality such wonderful tender steaks the best I have eaten in a long time. The Groupon voucher is such great value can't beat it any where else.
Lovely food good service
Afternoon tea was delicious and service very good. Such a shame that you no longer have the beautiful views one of the reasons we returned for afternoon tea. May be a reason we don't return which is such a shame.
Our steak was delicious, a quality piece of meat cooked to perfection. We all agreed it was one of the best steak meals we have had.
Amazing service and lovely relaxing atmosphere! Food was delicious too - thank you
Loved the afternoon tea, sandwiches were delicious, lovely fresh bread! Miniature scones were wonderful. Would have liked stronger tea but apart from that it was really lovely.
Very disappointed that we were in the back dining room and was told that we couldn’t sit looking at the golf course like last time we we came ! And the door kept getting left open to outside and dining door didn’t shut probably! Very cold and the noise was awful from a large table ! I took my mum on the anniversary of my dads death so I was very disappointed as It was a choice between you and fishers pond for a nice view ! The service and lady serving was very nice but I would not come back or recommend you as the attraction is the view !
Great choice of tea Nicely presented cakes
Beautifully presented afternoon tea, friendly staff and great service! Thank you! :)
We had a really lovely and relaxing time.
Beautiful location, tucked away which just adds to its charm. The staff were very attentive, friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food, even down to its presentation, was fantastic. My mum and myself came for afternoon tea which was delicious and value for money. On seeing the other meals coming out of the kitchens we can’t wait to come back for more. Just lovely. Can’t wait to come back and explore the spa and gym.
Good tasting quality steak as usual.
Perfect Afternoon Tea with an amazing view over the golf course. Atmosphere was a lot better compared to our last visit. Chloe our waitress was faultless. Look forward to returning soon.
Lovely breakfast, excellent service
The food was excellent and our waitress was efficient, welcoming and interested. My compliments to the chef.
