It's our first time here after it became Skai. The restaurant was busy but the staff remained attentive. Selection of food seems less compared to Equinox but quality is still there. We enjoyed our lunch.
Great experience with excellent service.
I loved everything in the high tea set except for the beet bun with foie gras. Would definitely love it more if we managed to get the window seat. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the ambience and service, thank you!
Surprised to get such terrible service at this restaurant, it seems that Tiffany did not get what we asked for most of the time, was not attentive to the 4 tables she was manning, and when my friend asked for pepper for the pork belly dish, we waited for 15+ mins and she only came back with a dish of pepper after seeing us staring at her. How are we supposed to apply pepper from a dish?! Has she considered the customer’s perspective? There were also kids constantly screaming around us, I do not know what the restaurant’s policy is on that. If that is a kids zone then they should not have put us there. It was very annoying and disturbing in contrast to the nice view.
The food is definitely not worth the price
The vegetarian 4 course was perfect, 🎉💖
It's an afternoon tea built on display and setting. The quality is ok but others do it better for less. Scones were too light and fluffy. Good view, if you're lucky enough to get a window seat, but that's not worth the premium, nor is the 'fancy' tray. Restrooms are too far away, down too narrow a staircase, don't offer disabled access and are dated. The smoking room looks like a converted sauna (is it?). The ground floor security guard was hostile which muted our excitement on arrival and left us feeling low when we left. Highlight was the private photo session we stumbled in on in the area adjacent to where we dined (some ladies who make a living at night doing a shoot for new profile photos - I suppose that's one way to afford this over-priced high tea)
Good food with Wonderful view
SKAI should be able to inform guests earlier if window seating is available so that the guest may be able to make an informed decision regarding whether to proceed with the reservation
Ambience is good. However, due to the lunch and high tea timing, they started to chase people away after the lunch timing (even when you still have food on your plate). It does not feels good especially if u are there to chill/ enjoy or having a business lunch. This is for the fact that having a meal there does not come cheap so customers would definitely want to spend more time there.
We waited for so long to get attended. The Saga A5 wagyu was disappointing. We spent $155++ for tough meat.
Difficult to find the entrance. Staff at entrance of the hotel building was rude. When we enquired if it was the right entrance to get to Skai he rudely ordered us to scan the safe entry code and keep moving, without verifying if it’s the right entrance. Service of restaurant staff was lukewarm
Excellent and prompt service with amazing view of Marina Bay and the CBD
The breads are slightly stale.
Always a pleasure to be at Skai. Thanks for the warm hospitality and amazing food.
feel disappointed to choosen SKAI to celebrated my wife's birthday as my request never fullfil, request and got replied will arrange mandarin serve but NO. requested window seat also NO.
Service was excellent with very attentive pour 🥂
High tea is between 3-5pm and I understand that dinner service starts at 6pm. However I find it disconcerting and abrupt how guests are made aware by the serving staff that we must leave at 5pm (on the dot). When the watch showed 5:05pm our serving staff started hovering behind us to remind that we must leave. This just did not seem to be at par with what a hotel high tea in such luxurious setting should treat its customers. I’ve had the occasions of staff in other hotels advising us that the kitchen closes at 5pm, meaning we couldn’t have tea refill or order more coffee but we were allowed to linger, at our leisure, until we observed staff start setting for dinner (we got the discrete hint). But at least we were not forced to leave on the dot. This was unfortunately my lasting memory of the Skai high tea experience because it ended on that note.
Food is expensive and not worth the money, steak was very normal, just like what you can have at jack's place, but at 4 times the price, very different from other fine dining restaurant's steak, where you can really taste the difference. Ordered a heineken and it wss not really chilled, it isnt sparking at all, taste like plain water, very bad. Lighting was very dim, too dark to have a proper dinner. Also, i was given a right at the corner seat, where i can nothing except walls. Service was so-so. Wouldn't recommend this place.
The high tea sweets and cakes were divine
4 course set menu was just AWESOME
The portions for the mains are small, but it helps that there are breads available for us. Fennel on the snapper is not to our liking, and the asparagus sides is a bit too sour. We love the view at the bar table and the ambience is really good. Service staff were courteous, friendly and attentive - they are all great. It was our first-time there at SKAI, and overall it was a great experience - I daresay we will go again soon :)
We were assigned a table at the back of the restaurant where its dark and a distance from the window although there were empty tables along the middle part of the restaurant where its brighter and nicer view. Not worth paying the price if u are seated behind in a fairly dark place
