About Simpsons Restaurant
1 Michelin Starred Restaurant with Rooms
Amazing all round expirience, each dish complemented one another which was also complemented by outstanding service for a all round supurb time.
Our first visit to Simpsons was ‘amazing’. The service was exceptional: bettered only by the lovely food. We will definitely be going back.
Ben and Adam made our day They are a credit to Simpson’s 👍
Amazing place food and staff superb
We had the vegetarian tasting menu for two. Every course was beautifully prepared and presented and was delicious. Request for birthday recognition was attended to nicely. Waiting staff very attentive. Only downside was even though I'd requested a quiet table and we were put in a corner the noise from other tables was very loud hence marked down on atmosphere.
Wonderful evening, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, wonderful food.... Have gave you a trip advisor review also- thank you
Great meal, great service. Was slightly breezy with the glass doors open to the garden.
We visited here for our annual splash out celebration and were not disappointed. The welcome, ambiance, gentle pace, friendly service and unbelievable food all combine to provide an exquisite experience that is so much more than simply going out for a meal. After cocktails, we were led through to our table and opted for the tasting menu accompanied by a bottle of Chilean Carmenere. The whole vibe is in a relaxed and spacious Terence Conran style - understated quality. The waiting staff are plentiful, never rushed, always polite and ready to answer questions about the food, its composition and cooking techniques. Each course was just right in terms of size with the combinations of ingredients delivering new taste sensations course after course. This was the first time I had ever had deep fried fish scales or enjoyed yeast flakes as a crispy topping - both inspired ingredients. The way the meal progressed through the courses developed a wide spectrum of tastes with an expansive offering of meats, offal and fish. The smoked egg yolk as the starting snack was exceptional. The desserts were equally amazing - I particularly loved the coconut rice pudding with curry ice cream. I'm not an expert in such things but compared to other places, I'm surprised it only has one Michelin star. We are already looking forward to next year - which is what makes special treats special!
My wife and I enjoyed the taster menu, everything tasted so good, lots of flavour
It was nice of the head chef, Leo Kattou, to come and speak with us at the end of our meal. The complimentary mid-courses were a pleasant surprise also.
Personal reason , had taster meal yesterday. Thoroughly enjoyed all courses with exception of last dessert. Didn’t enjoy at all , flavours didn’t compliment each other.
Very friendly nice staff, good atmosphere and we appreciated the Motown music!
I attended the Eureka one day cookery course and would highly recommend it. My skills in the kitchen are by no means advanced however I would say it is aimed for beginners as well as advanced cooks. Leo was a great tutor, knowledgeable and entertaining. The day started with a welcome tea or coffee followed by a tour of the restaurant and kitchen - really interesting. We prepared a starter, main course and dessert. We had a champagne break whilst our dining area was set up and then sat down to eat our treats. The food was incredible (with wine pairing). This day is well worth doing, really interesting. Lots of learning and good fun. It was a small lovely group. Well done Simpsons.
Excellent as always.
Amazing food and excellent service. We had the lunch taster menu and wine pairing which I’d highly recommend.
All the staff we came in contact with were 100% . Ease of adders attentive in a relaxed manner and willing to help or chat. This quality of food dose not come cheep but the staff make it a little easer to swallow. Everything is of a fine hight standard. Thank you all for a splendid evening John, Sue, Beth
great food and service One of my favourite restaurants
I have been to the restaurant on two occasions and both times the food and the service was excellent. The last time I went I took my mother for her birthday and they made it a very pleasant occasion. They gave her a birthday card and we even got to meet the chef. Overall they made her day perfect
We celebrated an important family event and it was greatly enhanced by Simpsons. The atmosphere, staff and food was excellent. It all made for a great afternoon. It’s more than a meal it’s a wonderful experience that added something special. Thank you all.
Was good, but not exactly a Michelin star level – neither the service nor the food.
Great food, well presented and great flavours. Found the look of the white room and end wall a bit confused and at odds with eachother and the arched glulam beams. Staff seemed to waft around a little too much rather than just disolve into the background and be there when needed but we very good, polite and attentive. Overall a wonderful place and will be back again throughout the year whenever in the area. Well Done.
We had a fantastic evening, food, service & atmosphere were all great!
Relaxing, down to earth, calm atmosphere with excellent food and service. The outdoor space is fantastic for pre/post dinner drinks. My wife had a great birthday lunch so thank you. We’re already looking to book again soon!!
Good food and cannot really fault the service but have had much better food at cheaper restaurants.
