About Shambles Restaurant & Wine Bar
Family run since 1983, on offer is a simple, seasonally focused, Italian inspired menu that changes daily.
We deeply care about being sustainable, using amazing produce (some fruits and vegetables grown on site) and providing friendly professional customer service, along side a fantastic wine list.
This all translates into the buzzing energy of the restaurant with Live Music on the weekends & a bocce/petanque court in the summer months.
Set in a old Grade 2 listed butchers, feel our warm and relaxed atmosphere whether dining indoors or al fresco in our beautiful summer garden.
We eat at Shambles quite regularly because the atmosphere is warm and friendly, the food and wine are great and we are always made to feel very welcome.
Food was really great, with helpful and knowledgeable service.
Friendly sevice Food on point Just needed more seats 🤣🤦♂️ Wine selection good
Our 1st visit, just newly moved to Teddington. Wonderful relaxing evening with amazing food , drink and service.Thank you all so much. We will definitely be back- soon !
Really authentic Italian food and great wine selection ! Highly recommended!
Great but diappointed by a very dry partridge.
Quite simply the best kept secret in the area. World class wine selection, world class food, loving family environment. I can't say enough positive things about our favourite place to eat.
Excellent 3-course Lunch menu with good service.
GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE. place could do with sprucing up the decor a bit
This is my favourite restaurant in this area. The food is excellent, the menu is updated regularly and the service is fantastic. Shambles also has a very reasonably priced for the quality wine menu.
A taste of Italy in Teddington, Eccellente!!!
Personally i thought it was too bright and too warm and the decor was lacking.
Excellent evening with good food, great service and an amazing atmosphere
My favourite of all restaurants Shambles is local to me I know but I would drive 100 miles for a meal at Shambles such a perfect place Food staff atmosphere amazing Thank you everyone
Love Shambles - beautiful garden in Summer, cosy and comfortable in winter. Food and range of wines is great. So lucky to have a great local restaurant.
We were in that small middle room but so was a large table of girls on a night out. Consequently it was quite loud and raucous which would have been tough for anyone there for a romantic dinner for two. Far better to give the girls the room to themselves and put other diners in another room. Also why do you still have that dreadful pianist there. There was no one in the front room and you have to think that was because the pianist would have made it impossible to have a pleasant evening.
Lovely friendly staff, great food and atmosphere
Been visiting Shambles for years and always found the service and food excellent. Undoubtedly the best restaurant in Teddington.
Shambles is a lovely restaurant with really friendly, professional staff. i'm not sure what it is, but I'm always slightly disappointed with the food. It's obviously good quality, but sometimes the flavour isn't quite there. The menu appears to be quite extensive but whoever I go with, we all find it quite difficult to choose a main course. It feels a bit samey. Maybe putting a few beautiful, simpler Italian dishes with a Shambles twist on the menu in place of some of those already there would help....?
Fantastic food and service as always
I had a bit of an odd visit to Shambles. On arrival the restuarant looked pretty empty. We were led to a room with only 2 other tables occupied, and seated at a table right next to them. Our food was acceptable, although I feel a bit overpriced. One table near us was occupied by a couple who were swearing loudly and at one point the woman lit a cigarette (she was asked to extinguish it). Two women were at the other table. When one left to go to the loo, the other got up & started talking to us, but so quickly that I had no idea what she was saying. Eventually her friend returned & she went back to her own table. This is not a cheap restuarant, and certainly at the time we visited, it was completely devoid of atmosphere & didn't really feel like the treat it was intended as.
Very nice evening in the garden. Food was excellent and we were very well looked after as always
We booked table of 18 with 4 children and the service atmosphere and food was brilliant -such a friendly place and having the Boule area was perfect for the children Will be back .
Amazing food in a great setting with wonderful service. Couldn't recommend it enough. Thanks so much
Consistently great food, perfectly presented and professionally served, yet in a totally relaxed atmosphere. Really enjoy going to this restaurant.
