About Shambles Restaurant & Wine Bar
Family run since 1983, on offer is a simple, seasonally focused, Italian inspired menu that changes daily.
We deeply care about being sustainable, using amazing produce (some fruits and vegetables grown on site) and providing friendly professional customer service, along side a fantastic wine list.
This all translates into the buzzing energy of the restaurant with Live Music on the weekends & a bocce/petanque court in the summer months.
Set in a old Grade 2 listed butchers, feel our warm and relaxed atmosphere whether dining indoors or al fresco in our beautiful summer garden.
Cannot fault Shambles, everytime we go we are greated like friends, the service is great and the food is delicious. Home cooking comfort, at a super high standard. Thank you and wishing you all the best at this time.
Easily the best restaurant in Teddington. Would heartily recommend.
An excellent Sunday lunch with very good food and wine in a friendly atmosphere.
Go here 3 or 4 times a year when in the area - had an excellent lunch, all enjoyed starters, Cote de boeuf for main course for 4 of us followed by a mixture of desserts which were outstanding
Have been lots of times; the food is nearly always very good but the service has always been a bit hit & miss. Sometimes it is great with very enthusiastic staff other times like this one you're left felling a bit guilty for interrupting their day. Its not enough to put me off returning as I have now for many years but it is a shame.
A lovely Sunday Lunch with food chosen from a well crafted extensive menu. Altogether a lovely experience.
We were one of Shambles first customers but have lived away for sometime. Sooo happy to find prawns inferno still on the menu!
Excellent Sunday lunch with good and attentive service.
We love everything about Shambles. The food is always of an incredibly high standard and the cote de boeuf we had on this occasion was exceptional. The team are outstanding. It is a family run business and they always give the personal touch. Even on a busy Saturday night nothing was too much trouble. Hopefully we will be back very soon.
Will definitely be returning. A real gem in Teddington!
Really good food and wine, a little expensive. Amazing pianist.
Always welcoming and wonderful food and atmosphere
Excellent choice of food on menu with professional and friendly service from all staff...
Fantastic evening, with great food and ambiance that never fails to disappoint.
Fantastic restaurant, fantastic atmosphere. Would highly recommend
Always so lovely for Sunday lunch here. Lots of authentic Italian food, great staff and a super wine list, not to mention a roaring fire! Grazie mille!
Shambles is definitely my favourite restaurant in Teddington. The Sunday roast beef is undoubtedly the best I have ever had! The service is too notch! There is also a great wine and gin cocktail menu! I will oeep going back for the roast! :)
Been going to Shambles since December 1984. Always great food, great atmosphere and great service. Look forward to the next visit. Best
One of the best Italian restaurant around by far
When you have a fixed price menu - such as St. valentines evening - you should look to replicate this pricing on the bill. It is confusing to add individual items and supplements, zero other items to reach a total. That said it was a small inconvenience in what was a lovely evening with excellent food and wine.
Wonderful birthday lunch... thanks excellent service.. great tasty food.. best valentines lunch ever
Lovely food atmosphere and service
Outstanding food as always!
The strangely olde worlde feel is not to my taste and the food was heavy and 'classic' but not in a good way. The atmosphere was not enhanced by the piano play who had apparently learnt his trade in very noisy establishments as he thumped the key board in an extremely heavy handed way
