About Sea Spice
Sea Spice is a unique amalgamation of exotic Indian cooking within the quintessentially British coastal setting of Aldeburgh. Taking lead from the ancient Spice Route and Aldeburgh's historic role as a valued Tudor port, this new gourmet restaurant unites local Suffolk produce with classic Indian flavours originating some 4,000 miles away. Honouring the breadth and complexities of Indian cooking, Sea Spice offers guests an array of regional dishes from Goan inspired seafood dishes, to tandoor-grilled meats and traditional fragrant curries.
Great place for a meal out in Aldeburgh
We go to Sea Spice regularly and always enjoy the food
Fantastic food. Lovely atmosphere and professional, but friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend
We have been meaning to try Sea Spice for a long while. We won’t be back! Dreadful atmosphere with full lights on, Spanish (?) waiters who didn’t know anything about Indian food and weird 1920s music - nothing complimented each other. The lamb rogan josh was tasty but everything was incredibly overpriced. We didn’t realise the wi W we ordered was only 8%...we might have missed this on the menu but wasn’t what we wanted. We arrived in a Saturday evening at 8.30pm to be told we were the last table of the evening! We felt everyone was waiting for us to raft as fast as possible! Not the most welcoming greeting. It was early January but the rest of Aldeburgh was heaving and the Sea Spice only a quarter full.
Lovely colonial decor, friendly service and gorgeous food Highly recommended
Excellent menu, tasty quality food and excellent friendly staff! Will visit again for sure!!
Absolutely terrible. I wouldn't recommend to anyone or return.
I ate here a couple of years ago and the food was completely amazing. Maybe my expectations were too high but this time the menu felt limited, we were seated at a table of two by the kitchen door rather than given a larger table by the window- the restaurant was not busy and our dining experience would have been enhanced with a better placed table. The food was tasty but, in my opinion, overpriced. The staff were excellent
Another wonderful evening at Sea Spice. Highly recommend!
Great food, delay in getting drinks
Have previously been theSeaspice and had a great experience especially the taste of the food , on this occasion food was quite bland and I have had better shop bought curries. Very overpriced for the quality
Our favourite restaurant to go to in Aldeburgh. Beautifully crafted curries in a great setting.
I turned up and the restaurant was closed in spite of booking 2 months before and confirming my booking the previous day. No other restaurants were available being Boxing Day!
Enjoyable, polite, both decor and food great.
Fantastic food and service
What Indian food should be flavorful and delicately spiced, most enjoyable Meal I've had in many many years. Will be back.
The service was excellent and was a marked difference from earlier in the year. It was a lovely evening and I’m looking forward to returning soon
My friends and I went to Sea Spice to celebrate the evening before my 50th, and we had a delicious meal. Fresh, delicious, different and authentic. Beautiful decor and ambience, attentive and friendly waiting staff. Welcome presence of the chef discretely wandering around the restaurant. I have been recommending to friends and family!
We had a lovely evening - the food was delicious
Excellent quality of food.
Superb meal, excellently cooked.with friendly, attentive, efficient service.Celebration for my wife's Birthday will be remembered for along while.
Lovely meal with my husband. Very tasty food of a high quality.
Excellent authentic food that came out of the kitchen quickly and was simply delicious.
Food good, service appalling. 30 minutes after being sat down, I had to call a waiter over and ask for a drink and to order the meal. The meal arrived before the drink!!
Food comes first, and it’s wonderful. Great blend of the traditional and the innovative. Decor is very handsome. The staff are charming and efficient. Maybe a bit pricier than the average Indian restaurant, but then it’s way above average in every respect.
