About Sea Spice
Sea Spice is a unique amalgamation of exotic Indian cooking within the quintessentially British coastal setting of Aldeburgh. Taking lead from the ancient Spice Route and Aldeburgh's historic role as a valued Tudor port, this new gourmet restaurant unites local Suffolk produce with classic Indian flavours originating some 4,000 miles away. Honouring the breadth and complexities of Indian cooking, Sea Spice offers guests an array of regional dishes from Goan inspired seafood dishes, to tandoor-grilled meats and traditional fragrant curries.
We had a lovely evening - the food was delicious
Excellent quality of food.
Superb meal, excellently cooked.with friendly, attentive, efficient service.Celebration for my wife's Birthday will be remembered for along while.
Lovely meal with my husband. Very tasty food of a high quality.
Excellent authentic food that came out of the kitchen quickly and was simply delicious.
Food good, service appalling. 30 minutes after being sat down, I had to call a waiter over and ask for a drink and to order the meal. The meal arrived before the drink!!
Food comes first, and it’s wonderful. Great blend of the traditional and the innovative. Decor is very handsome. The staff are charming and efficient. Maybe a bit pricier than the average Indian restaurant, but then it’s way above average in every respect.
The food is amazing. We were very impressed and have already recommended it to friends.
Booked for mu daughters 30th birthday and had high expectations after reading website. Very disappointed lacked in customer service, ambience, food was bland & overcooked. Left halfway through main meal. Paid bill in full but on reflection should have complained & probably would have if the staff had actually asked if everything was ok. Needless to say there will not be a return visit.
Having ate here on two previous occasions we found it to be disappointing on our 3rd visit. We had no time to look forward to our meal as no sooner had our drinks arrived than the food was in front of us. The chicken was not up to the usual standard and the whole evening seemed very rushed.
some of the finest Indian food I have eaten outside of London - superb flavours, presentation brillant meal
We enjoyed delicious food and excellent service in this lovely restaurant.
Beautiful restaurant, wonderful food
Absolutely delicious dishes. Muntjack vindaloo a highlight. Delicious sides and naans. We were in early, midweek, off season and so expected it to be quiet. That didn't detract from a great meal. Thank you.
We very much enjoyed our first visit to your restaurant.
Service on Wednesday October 16th was terrible, staff were running around but not doing anything. We had booked a table for 7.30 but our order for drinks or food was not taken till 7.50 and only then when I stopped the waitress from taking the order for the table next to us who had sat down a good ten minutes after us. We ordered two desserts, it took 50 taps on the computer screen to order it. Staff spend way too much time tapping into the computer and not serving or being aware of customers.
First time we have dined here. Lovely room and décor and even though it was pretty quiet on the mid-October Sunday evening we were there, it didn't spoil a delicious meal. The food was first class and the menu was just that bit different from the usual run of the mill Indian fare. We really enjoyed it and would definitely return.
Delicious, original flavours.
This is our not sure nth visit and we travel 30-35 miles to come to sea spice. The overall experience was not good in terms of service and food. Drinks:- Did not had some beer on menu Mocktail - A passion fruit one but no taste of it disappointing. Starters - 1/2 tandoori Chicken - felt could has spent a wee bit more in tandoor. A little bit more spices for marination would have elevated it to next level, bit bland. Achari Paneer- something felt wrong, the spice coating was superficial and did not permeated into the cheese block. Mains - Lamb bhunna and Dal Makhani was the saving grace, Paneer Butter masala again was on the sweat side. Surprised at the qty of the Biryani, quite small when sharing Dessert - Goolab jamoon was good, Carrot dish very much on dry side, khulfi had some of taste and was not good. Services - No comments and recommendations from The person serving. Lack of knowledge on items on Menu. Ambience - very good but was not matched with service and food. We drowned our disappointment with couple of rounds of available beer San Miguel ☹️😟😢
We had a lovely evening, food is fantastic.
Excellent meal, thoroughly enjoyed our experience
Very good. We dined late so cannot really rate the atmosphere as very few others remained, but the food was excellent and everything was nicely presented. Service was good.
Excellent all round evening
