About Seafood & Grill
Dining at the Seafood & Grill restaurant in Aldeburgh in Suffolk is relaxed, informal and provides a wonderful setting for a variety of occasions. Enjoy panoramic sea views from every table and a décor that is inspired by the vibrant colours found on the Suffolk coast throughout the year. There is also a stunning terrace for outdoor dining, al fresco!
The menu features the freshest local fish, seafood and free-range meats delivered to our door each morning, all lovingly prepared by our passionate head chef, Darran Hazelton
The food is very good with a lot of very tempting dishes on the menu and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent with a lovely view out to sea and the restaurant itself is very clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. I am really looking forward to our next visit.
Enjoyed our dining experience. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was efficient and the waiters were friendly and polite. We will come back.
Room was excellent and very clean and the staff were very accommodating. Not our first visit and will not be our last.
Table arranged for wheelchair access, and entry via lift was all easy so my father didn’t feel awkward with his mobility problems. And the view is stunning.
Absolutely delicious, the more local food the merrier!
The food and service was first class. Excellent
Our evening meal was lovely and all staff were friendly and helpful. We shall definitely be back.
This was a very disappointing meal, couldn’t believe you can actually present bland tasteless fish and chips in Aldeburgh, my husband had the Dingley Dell pork chop which had an overwhelming taste of bitter burnt fat and was abandoned after two mouthfuls. Having eaten here a couple of years ago a few times I can confirm that the food supplied ruined our stay at an otherwise great hotel.
Had a great roast yet again on Sunday ,Young waiter who served us was a delight , restaurant was very busy being bank holiday , but food was hot and very tasty , yes we had to wait a while but it didn't matter we sat back and relaxed with a good glass of house wine , watching the world go by
We enjoyed a fantastic meal for 5 of us, thank you!
The menu is poor and the quality of the food is not of the standard you would expect at this type of restaurant. Quality control and food inspection in the kitchen must be poor when a live slug is on the plate on which the starter was served! It was very disappointing that the chef didn't appear to apologise personally for this - perhaps this reflects the care and standards of the restaurant.
Excellent quality fis, service and atmosphere.
Staff excellent and food very good
The best meal we’ve had for a very long time. Original, well presented, & with first class service in a beautiful setting.
We stayed and ate at the hotel for my husbands birthday. Food was lovely and staff were all very attentive
Having dined at the Brudenell many times before it seemed the perfect choice for a family lunch on Good Friday. Yes, I know it's a Bank Holiday and yes, the weather was glorious which all contributed to the restaurant being extremely busy. However, the staff seemed completely unprepared for a full house. We waited 10 mins at the desk before being shown to our seats although several staff passed us and didn't acknowledge us. The waitress who eventually checked us in (I had pre-booked) gave an air that she was rather too busy to be bothered. At every stage of the meal, we either had to go to the bar to order (it's table service) or catch the eye of the serving staff, which was very difficult. Even obtaining the bill and making payment took at least 30 mins. Unfortunately, the attentive, polite service that I've enjoyed on previous visits was completely missing. Come on Brudenell, I'm sure you can do better....!
Delicious food made from fresh, local produce.
The humous with pitta bread was chosen from the 'light bites' menu selection. The humous was extremely spicy hot. I've never had humous like this....not very enjoyable! Our main courses came out to us before we had been served the starter/light bites. This was corrected immediately. The drinks service was slow.....it was clear that with only one barman preparing drinks this was understaffed for a busy Saturday evening and we felt sorry for him.....not his fault!
We arrived 10 mins early for our 6pm table. It took three attempts to order a drink and staff seemed to be very hassled. They did say that it had been a v busy day with staff off sick but TBH it was a very disappointing experience. The food was very tasty when we eventually were able to get it ordered. Not sure I would return as this was my second visit and such a bad experience compared with lunch two years ago
Service was a bit slow - but I understand that you were short staffed. We were in no hurry - so it didn't matter. Otherwise - fantastic. Many thanks and please pass on our sincere thanks to the waitresses.
Excellent service. Beautiful interior and restaurant. Hard to give 5 stars for food but it was very good. Thanks!
Great place to eat and fabulous setting
All as or better than it should be. Hard to be negative... Can be very busy which slows things down a bit but not much. Could do with a discreet ‘watcher’ to see when attention is being requested. Otherwise a very pleasant experience. Recommended.
Food was lovely but the service was very poor
