About Scene Indian Street Kitchen
An Indian Street Kitchen in the heart of Spinningfields Manchester, serving authentic indian street food as well as traditional dishes.
The food was over priced and the drinks service was slow had to cancel a drink of the bill after waiting 20 mins and it not arriving. Also food was slightly bland and the menu was quite limited
I wouldn't go on a Saturday night , it was crowded , food and drinks average at best , service slow, over priced for the quality.
Booked a table for my birthday meal with my parents and we absolutely loved every single bite. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic (we weren’t very decisive and our host was excellent! She even brought us a taster of the chicken tikka starter to try along with our own starters!) the ambiance and decor of the restaurant is perfect - couldn’t fault anything. Great evening and would 100% recommend!
I really enjoyed the flavours of the curry. The starters were nice too especially the fish starter. The waiter was lovely, he was really attentive and knowledgeable about the different types of currys. We used the 50% off deal which increased the value for money aspect. Without the offer I personally think that the price for a curry is too high, but understand your location is maybe the cause of this.
Slow service but lovely food
I’ve been previously and it was amazing. Recommended it to our colleague who I was visiting Manchester with for a conference. Of which we all ended up going. On arriving the service was very poor and slow. Staff just standing at the till together when customers are waiting to be spoken to about things they need. The food wasn’t a good as the first time I visited. The chicken makhani tasted like Heinz tomato soup with chicken in it. Was awful! Maybe I ordered the wrong thing this time round but I won’t be in a rush to visit again like I was this time.
Excellent food and excellent value
Been here a few times now. Tried a lot of different things on the menu and haven't been disappointed yet.
One of the best Indian food experiences we've had, will definitely be back!
Good service and food.
The naan bread was old and clearly heated up on the microwave in a way that was difficult to eat and not tasty at all.
Great food, service & atmosphere! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely food, amazing friendly staff who were able to explain the menu.
Service was not great for a restaurant in spinning fields. Very disjointed staff service. 3 different parts of order taken or bought out incorrectly and no real apology for this.
The food was ok but unfortunately everything was too spicy for us which has never happened at any other curry house before. Even the yogurt sauce and the onion chutney with the poppadoms had been spiced. We went for a special birthday and I asked on the booking form if you could do anything to make his meal extra special. A cake with a sparkler came out which was great, but noticed on the bill I was charged £9 for this?! I was not informed that I would be charged for anything extra and have never been anywhere that charges for something like this. I think if it would have been 2 or 3 pound I wouldn’t have minded but £9 seems excessive even if we would have just got a regular dessert instead. Really disappointed, the atmosphere wasn’t great, we had a desi dhaba to share, from the menu, I was expecting this to be presented in an elaborate way, but was just piled into a bowl like everything else. Won’t be coming again unfortunately.
Beautiful food. Thank you
Had a fantastic dinner, great staff, space and food. Loved the January 50% deal. Thanks team!
As my family and I walked in the greeting was just ordinary and they looked confused. Our booking was at 6.45 for 5 people we were taken to a table right next to the entrance. I said I did not want to be sat at the entrance and would like the next seat the waiter said he would check and went to speak to the manager I assume who was next to him and came back and said that it was reserved? There was no sign on there to say this. NOT OFF TO A GOOD START!! We were seated after a good 10 mins left standing in the entrance to the dining area. It seemed somewhat reluctantly, there was plenty of space...but maybe these tables were reserved also... the starters are good and the main meals ordered were good. The waiter who served us was nice and polite which made up for the poor start when we were being seated. The “reserved” table was empty during the course of our evening!!
Food is amazing, we've never had a bad meal there.
Food was good, Service was not.
The service is first class. The food is excellent.
Waiter was very attentive. Food was lovely, a little dark for my liking but overall great experience!
I will not be visiting scene again.. our food was recived in 10 mins from ordering and was cold and not fresh.. also the waiters were very rude and arrogant.. did not even cme to ask us how our food was .. will not be re visiting
Service wasnt great. Every course we ordered took very long. We ordered gulab jamun desserts to be told theres non left. Then desi tea took so long that we decided to leave and cancel it.
