We waited 20 min for our table for afternoon tea despite booking table four weeks in advance. Table was not fully laid there were crumbs all over couch. We had to ask for serviettes and waited 30 min for food. The guy playing piano played two songs and finished,
Staff were very attentive and made such a special effort for my sisters birthday. We really enjoyed our afternoon tea experience.
Great service. Made a big lovely fuss about my daughter's birthday, personal but not over the top. Food is fabulous as always
Excellent Christmas Day. Thanks to all
Excellent day, great place for a great day. And a present on the way out aswell 10 out of 10.
Our servers were very nice, food was beautiful & plentiful & room was beautifully decorated! Santa was great too. Thank you for a lovely Christmas Day meal!
The best way to really start Christmas! Christmas Eve Dinner at the Savoy!
Excellent Christmas Eve lunch. We were all delighted with the quality of the food, the presentation, and the value for money. Well done, Savoy Team!
Had a lovely breakfast yesterday. Lots of space and away from Christmas crowds
We were seated at the very front of the afternoon tea room just before the desk in front of the pulled curtains. The chairs were not even similar to those of other guests. To be honest I didn’t think it was a great place for anyone to be seated. It became cold and we were often forgotten in terms of asking for our order or asking if we needed extra beverages or if we were okay. It seemed like a place for people to wait for their table rather than actually have their afternoon tea. We had our reservation at half 3 but was not served our food until half 4 as we were already seated late as some of the parties had not left yet and we had to wait for our table outside. The food was absolutely fabulous and the value was worth it but I thought the service could be a lot better and the seating could be better as I felt cold most of the time and it affected my overall experience. I had afternoon tea here before and the experience was so much better.
Lovely hotel, with perfectly helpful and very pleasant staff.
Lovely afternoon in the Savoy! Staff were so accommodating
Nice location. Great atmosphere
From the greeting at arrival to the service and the food, we could not have asked for better. Amazing staff, we will definitely be back
Bar staff in the savoy bar are fantastic
Food not as nice as other times sandwiches little disappointing Love the library though
It was amazing would definitely go again
Non existent tea menu. I requested a tea menu but was informed there wasn’t one. I was told I could have an Earl Grey, Peppermint or Green tea. I ordered a green tea which very disappointingly arrived in a paper sachet (tea bag) on the side of my tea cup. NOT what you would expect from afternoon tea, very poor . Please view No 1 Perry Square, Adare Manor, Dromoland, Westbury etc or any number of hotels and view their Afternoon Tea menus
I was there for afternoon tea with my sisters for a Christmas treat thoroughly enjoyed it from being greeted by Christie to the service by both Mark and Emma thankyou very much we will be back again.
Very relaxing , staff attentive without been intrusive. Plenty of choices for the afternoon tea menu . Would definitely recommend to friends and will return myself again .
My friend is coeliac and I found the difference between our 2 trays totally unacceptable ( considering we were charged the same for both ) .tier 1.. 5 x diff sandwiches....same for both... tier 2. I was given 2 small scones, a slice of lemon & poppyseed cake, a slice of date and walnut cake and a slice of carrot cake. Coeliac tier 2...frozen in the centre large fruit scone..( friend doesn't like rasins.) She said it was frozen and got that replaced... .tier 3. I had choc and nut log, mini lemon meringue pie, cream, macaron and choc sticks and also a choc mousse square. Coeliac tier 3 was large choc muffin, skewer of fruit and some cream. I have photos to show the difference which I cant up load.
This was my fourth visit to the hotel and we had a Great weekend in the Savoy. We went in a large group and the hotel were brilliant to cater for us all! Great location for shopping and a night out. We had dinner too in the hotel and the meal was lovely! Highly recommend staying here.
