Amazing from start to finish
Over priced, not value for money, slow service & I ended up putting my coat back on as I was freezing. It was very disappointing as my Son had got me a voucher for my birthday which was yesterday the 18th February, as we’d never been before & I can’t see myself & my husband going again unfortunately.
We had a meerkat 2 for 1 so was good value
Wish the fish was fresh.
Great thank you!
Great night, friendly chefs and staff very entertaining night, very generous with food portions one slight problem starters could be hotter
A wonderful evening with a great atmosphere and even better food. Look forward to returning.
Really tasty food and great atmosphere. Perhaps a bit expensive, but it’s definitely high quality ingredients and skilled work
Our waiter Yannis was incredibly welcoming and made sure we knew exactly what we were ordering and when. The atmosphere, service and food amazing and I will definitely be returning.
Our table was booked for half 9 on Saturday night , we were told when we were seated that there was a 30-40 minute wait on a chef . After ordering our food we didn’t get our starters until 10.50 ( after asking the waiter were they were and being told there was a delay as they’d misplaced our receipt ) . The chef then didn’t come over to our table until 11.15pm . I understand Saturday was a very busy night but all the waiting around put a huge downer on the evening . On a positive note the food was amazing and our chef was great .
Took my son for his birthday the chef around the tappanyaki table are really fun to watch and they do make it an enjoyable experience for the children around the table would definitely be going again
Food always amazing , service great , took my children for the first time and they loved it
Disappointed in some of the menu changes since the new year. Several sushi items are gone. Though the food was still very good, I have visited previously when the chef was far more into the cooking show he was putting on. Our chef from Saturday made it quite obvious he didn't really want to be there. Was just not into the "performance".
Could not fault anything. Food and service were excellent.
Great food, lively atmosphere and theatrical cooking - Would definitely eat there again.
Took a while for us too be served with drinks also a while for our food to be cooked but the main thing that effected my time here was we’d booked for a special occasion my mums 60th birthday I’d asked for someone to come over and sing happy birthday after we had eaten the food, we were still waiting once we had paid the bill which in the end we just got up and left.
We went with our 11 year old daughter and her friends for her birthday. The girls had a great time and were very impressed with our chef. However, we waited so long firstly for the table, then for our orders to be taken and the cooking to start. After our mains we were told the table was needed so could we sit in the reception waiting area if we wanted desserts! The whole area was full of waiting people, nowhere for us to sit, the kids were getting knocked by people walking past so needless to say we decided to skip the desserts which was a shame as the girls were looking forward to one.
I have been coming to Sapporo a couple of times per year since I moved to Liverpool 10 years ago. When we have visitors to the City I always book a table at Sapporo because I have never had a bad meal or poor service. I always order a meat with yakisoba noodles. Last night I brought family members who had never been to Sapporo and I wanted them to enjoy it as much as me. We all ordered Yakisoba noodles. I was aware the menu had changed because of the booklet but no one explained anything to us. I was extremely disappointed to discover that because we had ordered the noodles we were not entitled to rice or vegetables despite all of this being included in the past for the same price. When I asked the chef about it he said it was annew menu and those items were not included. For me and my family this was not a good service when previously it has been provided it should have been explained when placing the order as we would have rather had rice and vegetables than noodles. The chef did end up cooking some vegetables because he could see how disappointed I was. Our plate only had meat and noodles on which tonne wasn't something I'd expect from such a good restaurant. Despite my above comments the food; as always was really good. To add, there were no dipping sauces on the table as normal. The people opposite had never been before and were eating dry potatoes. It was only that we asked for the garlic and chilli sauces that they discovered what was available. I am not sure if Sapporo is trying to cut costs but it certainly felt that way last night. I have had Birthday and graduation meals at Sapporo and always loved the place. I feel this maybe the start of it going down hill. Not sure I will rush to return. Regards, Sheree
The Family Day was wonderful - we all had so much fun and the food was amazing. Many thanks to the chef, who said his name was Potato!
Service poor, some food served cold, forgot our desserts and was cold in the building, the portable heaters are not sufficient. Have been to Sapporo many times and enjoyed the experience but this time there was little if no interaction with the chef. Angel at front of house was very professional and helpful assisting with our enquires.
The customer service was very bad...
Your restaurant is freezing cold. Twice I have been in the last month and both times the same, very uncomfortable to sit in the cold.
very enjoyable lunchtime visit with my wife to the liverpool restaurant, good food and great service made the visit well worthwhile.
Early evening menu x lovely food, good service .... will be back 😁
