Excellent food , good entertainment and also very good value for money .
All the chef's and waiting on staff were excellent and food and drink were plenty.. My only problem was I was constantly having to move chair in and out to let people past due to not enough room between table 1 and the opposite table , this become a hindrance by the end of the meal that's why I only gave a 4 star, but other than that an enjoyable night by all . Thanks to all .Andy .
Was loved by all my family and friends tonight! The chef , the waiters and the hostess’s were very warm and welcoming. The waiters really look after you - all while you are being entertained by the chefs ! Loved it and I will be back . ( says in Arnie voice )
Been here many times and enjoyed every visit. Only gripe would be the cost of drinks
Excellent service. Excellent live cooking kids loved it
Good morning, Thank you for the great experience and lovely food. All of our team enjoyed themselves on Friday night. George was an excellent host and saw to our every need.
Excellent atmosphere for adults and children great time had by all
Food was fantastic. And the chef show was great. However the customer service was appalling and the general manager was so rude. She looked one of our group up and down when we got asked to move from our table early (even though half the tables where empty) and asked if we could be seated in the bar area. They left us stood waiting for ages for alternative seating and there was a lady 6 months pregnant with us.. we would have left at that point but we had already ordered drinks when sat on our table before being asked to move. She was very rude and unapproachable and really brought the experience down as all the other staff where very friendly. It was also very visible that she was rude to fellow staff members too.
Great place for a family meal.we loved it!
I’ve been treated quite rude attitude by your staff. We have booked the table and approached one of your staff . And ask the booking name by very rude attitude. After seated , the chair was quite crowded as it’s was empty chair as well , so I put my hand on the chair next to me as we got limited space, Suddenly your staff came and pull the chair out without can’t noticed.... even you see someone put the hand on it . Other than that, the food is very nice the chef is brilliant. Thank you
Lovely place for food
Made it known 4 times that there was a coconut allergy with the booking and yet still messed up and added desiccated coconut to the top of our desserts. Could have caused a hospital visit if it wasn’t noticed and well litigation....... more training and better staff accountability
Ketchup was very entertaining. My little girl really enjoyed it and keeps asking to go back x
Some of our party arrived late, the staff we understanding. Food was lovely and excellent value. Chef was very entertaining.
Staff were very friendly, food fantastic a really enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend. The reason I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere was my husband and I went on a Monday afternoon and there was just our table of ten, even so they still did their tricks. Next time we will go back on an evening.
Fun dining is the word !!
Lovely experience & very fresh & tasty food.
Dear Sir / Madam This is the complaint I emailed to you on Sunday 9th February and up to this point I still haven’t had any response. As such I am now leaving you my email as feedback. I feel compelled to email regarding my disappointment in the service I received during my booking at Liverpool Sapporo on the 8/2/2020. I booked a table a few weeks ago at 7:45pm for 2 people. The 8th February is my birthday and my partner wanted to do something special for me as we live 90 miles apart and we wouldn’t have seen each other for 2 weeks prior to our meal. We arrived about 15 minutes early and was given a buzzer and directed to the bar to get drinks till our table was ready. To our surprise we had only just got to the bar and hadn’t even ordered a drink before we buzzed. We were directed to a table where everyone else was already seated with drinks and food was being cooked and the ‘show’ had started. We were still looking at menus when the food started being given to other guests. We ordered an Emperor tasting menu each with chicken gyozas each too. We were eating our starters as everyone else was eating mains. Anyway we got all of our food but it felt rushed as we just had meal after meal out in front of us, although food wise everything was lovely, I checked with a waitress how long we were allocated our seats for and she confirmed it was 2hrs. Sitting back to enjoy my second glass of wine we were approached by a waiter and asked to move. He said you’re only allowed to sit down for 2hrs so can you make your way to the bar now. When I explained we had only been sat down for 55 minutes as our booking was 7:45 and it was only 8:40 he said well it’s busy and your station is finished so you’ll have to move. Everyone else had been sat here for 2hrs, you were late. I said I was not late I was early as my booking wasn’t until 7:45. At which point he just ushered me to the bar area. My partner had gone to the toilet at this point so I had my coat, my bag, my wine, his pint and I’m making my way into the bar area where there was no room to sit down. My partner then came back from the toilet and the waiter who had asked us to move gave him the bill and walked off. He was shocked as to why we had been moved too but we joined the queue to pay. At the desk I explained to the lady that we didn’t have our 2hr slot and how rushed we were etc. She just looked at me like I was stupid and said ‘well we are busy so...?’ As if that was justification for what had happened. I asked for the service charge to be taken off and I paid my bill feeling very let down, disgruntled and like I’d paid £120 for a mediocre experience. I think what had happened is that someone else hadn’t turned up to the table we were seated at and instead of giving us the full experience they shoved us onto a station that was just about to eat as a way to get us in and out. I don’t think this is fair at all and it really ruined my birthday. I’d heard such great things about Sapporo’s I was really excited to go and ax it was my birthday I got to pick the restaurant. My boyfriend was really disappointed, he was paying so he spent £120 on a meal that I’d assured him would be a fab experience and when we left he said well I won’t be going there again. I’m quite upset about the whole thing really and just wanted you to know what was going on in your restaurant. Maybe if you are going to shove customers onto a station that’s already been seated for an hour then you give them the option to wait or tell them they’ll be in and out within the hour. A bit of training in dealing with poor customer experience would probably help too as I was just looked at blankly and ignored when I complained. Regards Katie Lamb
Fantastic evening with great service, food and drinks.
Family birthday special occasion made super special by fabulous food and first rate service, couldn't fault anything, highly recommended
Staff were excellent from Andy who showed us to our seat and took drinks orders (& chatted to us a few times throughout the meal which was nice too) to the super talented & entertaining chefs. Visiting this restaurant is an event and for us a rare occasion but there's never any fears you get from some other Teppanyaki restaurants where you come away still hungry - Sapporo provide plenty of food in their set menus and a la carte seem to get equally good sized portions too. Would certainly visit again as the experience is brilliant and would recommend to anyone.
My first time coming here. Had an absolute ball. So entertaining, and made to feel very welcome. Will deffo come again but bring the kids next time, they will love it!
We really enjoyed it, thank you
When I booked online I stated it was for a 60th birthday and we were sat on a table with other people even though we were in a party of 8. It was also very loud and noisy due to a hen party. At the end of the food I was expecting the staff to come over and sing Happy birthday but it didn't happen.
