Sanzio is a bustling Italian restaurant in the heart of Willesden Green, just around the corner from the Willesden Green Tube Station.
It offers uncomplicated dishes from the seaside of the Adriatic Sea, fresh and seasonal. It also offers a relaxing old-world atmosphere in which to relax with friends over a carafe of wine and a plate of antipasti, while waiting for plates of delicious Southern Italian fare.
Sanzio concentrates on making the best of Italy’s favourite staples. Pizza, pasta and salads form the core of its main menu. Then, depending on what is fresh and in season, we develop 8-10 specials of the day. On this board of daily specials, you might find Baked Sicilian Squid with Parsley; White wine & tomatoes; Baked Pepperoni sausages with Chianti, honey and fresh thyme served with toasted ciabatta; Pan fried sea trout fillets with peas, chorizo and New Potatoes fricassea with capers and charlottes dressing; Pan frayed King Prawns, Basil and Cherry tomatoes; or Asparagus with Goat cheese, walnuts and roasted Red Peppers.
always a fantastic experience
Had a lovely meal here for my partners 30th, perfect for family and children, lovely outdoor area...food was exceptional and staff were lovely would deffo go back!!! :)
Welcoming, vibrant with great service & food!
A very cosy place with good food!
Some of the food was disappointing in particular my husband's veal escalope which was tough. No excuse in an Italian restaurant. Also he found plastic in his gnocchi - from the wrapping apparently, as it comes from Italy in plastic.
Lovely local Italian. Good food and great service.
Perfect setting, perfect food- wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.
Everything was excellent! The kids absolutely love Sanzio and the atmosphere - the kids meals are an absolute winner! Mussels are super delicious, nothing but great!
Stop! Go no further! This is the best kept secret in NW London. Love the venue, love the food and love the staff. Try the Pinot Grigio, amazingly delicious. Thank you thank you Sanzio, NEVER EVER leave 👌
Wonderful food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
As always a great meal, great service and great atmosphere
Great food, lovely friendly staff. Fabulous pizza and the tiramisu is particularly good.
Just great - looked after super well, food great, attention and colouring for the kids. There aren't many places I'd rather be for lunch on a sunny day.
Amazing fresh grilled squid we had!! Service and atmosphere great as always
I do love this restaurant as it is local and the food is very tasty. I have however noticed a change in the food recently though with the calamari - which I loved - being very tough and cheap cuts of the fish being used. The seafood pasta had 2 large prawns and around 6 clams and 2 very rubbery pieces of calamari - the sauce was quite watery and nowhere near as good as it used to be. The waitresses hovered over our table for most of night and insisted on giving us the many for desert when I specifically asked her if we could wait a while - just felt like they wanted to get rid of us pronto! Over all very disappointing considering they whack on a massive 12.5% service charge. Unfortunately - Sanzios is coming off my favourite places to go list!
The food is amazing, authentic Italian, the staff couldn't be nicer if they tried and overall a great little place to have a lovely evening.
An excellent restaurant to know. Great Italian menu and extremely well cooked choices - moist and tasty! Friendly, helpful service and a welcoming, relaxed/warm atmosphere.
Very friendly and commited staff, very good food, very pleasant atmosphere. We will come back an recommend.
We had dinner last night with my husband and we had an amazing time. The location is good in a nice residential area and we even had a nice view! I had aubergine with buffala - pizza with truffle and the semifreddo and my husband had the octopus - pasta with seafood and the tiramisu. We tasted everything and each meal really tasty, good ingredient and nice combination of flavour. I really liked the mint with the aubergine in the starter and the octopus one of the best I have ever had. The service was very kind, I hope to come back soon.
Book a table at Sanzio, in which we were late for as my guest had missed his flight from France. The staff at Sanzio were very accommodating despite missing our reservation by over half an hour. The food was fantastic, great, reasonably priced wine list, and amazing service. As a local in the area, I will surely be back. No optional service charge added to the bill - I was sure to add as deserved.
Really lovely food in a relaxed environment. Service was amazing and all staff are really friendly.
We have had excellent service and delicious food on all our visits. The wine per glass are very expensive to consume so should think about the charges.
Lovely local place. Good quality, no-fuss food. Simple and tasty. Good service. My only comment is about the table arrangement, as it was a bit tight and we couldn't move our chairs back for fear of bashing the people on the table behind. When we were there, it was busy but the garden was closed. Shame, as would have loved to sit there and it would have solved the congestion problem.
a fantastic Italian restaurant!
Toujours un plaisir !
