About Santo Remedio
Santo Remedio is a popular Mexican expression, which means Holy Remedy. We chose this name because Mexico’s food is so central to its culture, that it is considered a remedy for almost any problem. We prepare regional dishes from Yucatan, Puebla, Mexico City and Baja California made with Mexican ingredients like cactus, grasshoppers and Cascabel chiles. Many of the dishes we cook use traditional slow cooking techniques to give them a rich, deep flavour. As such we are a member of Slow Food.
We are proud and excited to share with our customers the true cuisine of Mexico. We hope that for those who have been to Mexico already our food evokes wonderful memories, and for those who have yet to go that it will inspire future travels to this fascinating country.
I love this restaurant. Not only are the food and beverages absolutely delicious, but the staff are always so very friendly and welcoming. It's a true neighbourhood gem.
Fantastic, the nicest Mexican food in London. Friendly and efficient service, great venue. I’ve been twice already and will go again.
Dinner involved some really lovely food and drinks. Definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants in London. The crab tacos and the guacamole were amazing.
We’ve been here before and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tacos are still excellent however the mains we had weren’t particularly good. Also think they’ve put the prices up and when I asked for a gin and tonic I got a double (didn’t ask for that) and was charged £13 for it. Also we were sat right next to the door and the desk and couldn’t be moved, incredibly draughty and not particularly private. Service was excellent though so I guess that’s something.
Very tasty food xx
Who knew that hibiscus margarita could be so delicious... I do now! Really lovely find down by London Bridge - good food, lovely staff and great drinks.
The amount of money spent was maybe more than some other high street dinning restaurants but understanding the unique ingredients and wines available this is understandable. Choice of dishes were fantastic for us as we are pascitarian this is nice. Vegans may struggle to eat here but that's their choice. Loved it and will be coming back.
Delicious food! Tuna tostadas amazing
We had a very good evening at Santo Remedio. Excellent service, food and drinks.
Tacos and Tostadas are very small for price. Tables feel a bit cramped.
We love this place - perfect cocktails , delicious authentic Mexican food and happy people.
Incredible mexican food in London in a very nice environment.
Excellent as always!
Loved the food and the service but the prices are just too high for what you get. This is a casual place serving fairly simple Mexican dishes but is charging 'fine dining' prices.
We came here for a work lunch after it was recommended by a friend. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly and the service was fantastic. Can’t wait to come back again.
Great food and service.
will definitely be back!!
Our bill for two people including service and one drink each was £100, and we had a snack when we got home as the portions were mean. £16 for 3 lamb cutlets which we’re mostly fat and bone felt outrageously priced, and the dish didn’t come with anything else - no carbs or veg. Same for the hake, which was a small fillet with a little sauce and nothing more. The food itself was fine, and the staff were lovely, but we won’t be returning.
Amazing birthday meal, such a lovely laid back atmosphere, the waiters were nice and friendly and they and the chefs were sympathetic to my hatred of coriander (tricky in a Mexican!!). The servings of tortilla chips are pretty small and we had to order 2 or 3 more but very reasonably priced so no problem. The food overal was super tasty and I will definitely be recommending and be back myself. See you next time! X
Lovely restaurant, very friendly staff and delicious food, really enjoyed our meal .
My first visit, although both of my daughters have eaten here before. As good as they told me it would be. We were made to feel very welcome - we had my 2 month old grandson with us & were also celebrating a birthday. The churros came with a lit candle & the appropriate song sung 😊 Thanks.
Too expensive for tiny portions. More like small plates than actual dinner portions. Lovely food but disappointing portions
Friendly staff, great food, good atmosphere.
Far too expensive for the food
