About Samsi Japanese Restaurant
Samsi opened in April 1993 and is located in Manchester City Centre. Since then, Samsi has been serving authentic Japanese food using fresh, premium ingredients and plenty of care with the aim of providing a fine Japanese dining experience for guests.
Love everything about here, would highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Food and presentation is amazing!!
Great food and atmosphere. Planning my next trip to try something different in the menu
Very good food, a bit on the expensive side for the portion size, but overall lovely atmosphere and great service
I ordered chicken teriyaki, which cost £14. The chicken was OK, but wasn't piping hot and didn't seem to have been freshly cooked just before it was served. It wasn't juicy or moist. It came with a lot of watery teriyaki sauce and a huge pile of lettuce, which was actually browning. I removed all the lettuce from my plate, not only because it was brown, but there was no dressing or accompaniments. So I was left with the chicken, the sauce, and a bowl of rice. I was disappointed. The meal wasn't terrible, but was nowhere near good. I hadn't eaten here for many years, and I don't I'll go back.
We love the place. It deserves to be more popular
Service is great and food is amazing. Would come back again.
Delicious food in a beautiful setting.
Best Japanese food I’ve ever had!
Such a great place. Definitely my favourite restaurant in Manchester
Very nice meal and drinks. friendly staff.
The food was delicious and the service friendly. I enjoyed a lovely birthday meal and will visit again.
The food was amazing, great value for money! The staff were friendly and very inviting! Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Ramen wasn't as good as advertised
Really good service! Only thing lacking was the atmosphere. No music made it very awkward.
Basement area and toilets need to be improved. Food was great and service very good and friendly.
Just brilliant, Yuko was charming and welcoming. The melt in the mouth tuna was incredible, tempura was light and crisp both noodles and curry were great. Quality! Samsi, arigato!
The service was good but the place lacked atmosphere. I also felt the sushi wasn't the best quality, nor the donburi for the price. I also asked for chicken yakiudon and was served soba noodles which was a bit disappointing. Then service was great though.
Wonderful sushi and great service!
Amazing food, very friendly staff & reasonably priced.
My family and I had a wonderful meal here. We are all sushi lovers and they had a great selection to choose from. I also had to eat gluten-free and they had plenty of options for me and also provided me with gluten free soy sauce. I would definitely eat here again the next time I am in Manchester.
Wonderful service, great food. A really good place for Japanese cuisine.
A great meal - a shame it wasn't busier!
The food was delicious! The staff gave us good honest recommendations and did not try to oversell anything or put pressure on us to buy! Our waiter/waitress were attentive but not constantly hassling us. Can’t wait to come back - most underrated Sushi restaurant in Manchester. BEST SUSHI EVER!
