Nice little restaurant, good food and service.
Gorgeous food and friendly service. I will definitely return.
Lovely restaurant and great food. Would definitely return!
Lovely food and drinks. Friendly and helpful staff
Thanks. Was a great evening, seriously good food. Simple but delicious! Thanks also for helping us celebrate our engagement. Really nice touch
One of our favourites for lunch or dinner. Has remained excellent for years, with well-selected wine list, great menu and friendly service.
Staff pleasant. Expensive olives. Great bread (best part of meal). Fish expensive and ordinary. Watery sauce with hard peas. Everything else extra and sides limited.
Foods always class, atmosphere is always going to be wierd with social distancing and so on but they made us feel at ease and got us drunk
Fantastic restaurant with delicious food and drink and lovely staff. Booking procedure online was simple and straightforward and information about Covid safeguarding was clear and reasonable. Service was delightful and the food, wine and cocktails delicious. The portions were incredibly generous and I was embarrassed to look like I had barely made a dent on my pork belly, it was delicious but just so much! Would have been good if someone had advised us how large the portions were, I would have not foolishly filled up on the (delicious) bread. Also would have been good to see on the menu from the start what the dessert options were to know whether I needed to save room for this - as it was we didn’t even look at the dessert menu as we were so stuffed! The high quality beautiful scented hand sanitiser on the tables was a lovely touch. Would definitely return if visiting whitstable again.
Great breakfast/brunch evening meals always great I Always make a visit to eat here when I visit.
We had a lovely meal, great service, definitely recommend and you need to book in advance to get a table
Very underwhelmed by the food unfortunately.
Lovely early evening meal with 2 young children. Food amazing and the service couldn't of been better. See you soon!
Very well organised and clean. Sanitiser on each table for customers. Staff as welcoming as ever. Would happily return
service a bit hap hazard - one dish was ordered incorrectly it was exchanged for the correct one but with a delay - noticed another table, service staff had forgotten to order the vegetables and another delay Hake was a small portion for £20 and the peas and courgette under it uninspiring cured trout a little bland as was the duck rillette sticky toffee pudding was fabulous when paying high prices for lunch with an additional 12.5% service charge on top I expected really good service and wonderful food but was disappointed
Fabulous meal and very friendly service. We felt welcome and relaxed as soon as we arrived. Food was superb!
Lovely food and tentative staff sticking to rules
Fantastic breakfast in a beautiful little cafe. The perfect antidote to lockdown madness.
We had to send a main meal back twice because the chicken was under cooked. Not what we would expect for such a pricey restaurant.
Food was fantastic, whipped cod roe was out of this world.
A lovely meal in a pleasant restaurant with attentive staff
Food was beautiful but we felt very uncomfortable that during the covid pandemic none of the staff were wearing PPE or masks. I have not been in any other restaurant or cafe during the pandemic that did not have staff wearing these so was very shocked. I would not come back due to this.
Wonderful food and service thank you!
Despite the issues with Covid, this didn't impinge on our night at all. We had a lovely evening and have absolutely no issue with the deposit taken for the reservation - how are restaurants supposed to survive if selfish diners block tables by failing to turn up?
Really delicious meal
